About: Hello! We have cared for our own pets since a young age. Professionally, we have worked with a variety of animals like cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, small animals, and aquatic animals. We care very much about animal behaviour and welfare, and this is our top priority as it has been with our own pets. If your dog needs early or late walks due to behaviour or because of your schedule then we are the people that can help. We are self motivated, energetic, easy going, and have lots of patience with animals. Any animal or breed is a friend of our :) There are two of us that can support you and your pets! One of us is home full time and one part time to support your pets! We are adaptable and understand the importance of socializing and creating safe and fun experiences. We have a fenced yard and time to love your pets!

About: Hi, I’m Tyler! I’m a programmer who works from home and has a deep love for dogs. I had a golden retriever named Zipper for 10 amazing years. Losing him was incredibly hard, and while I’m not ready to get another dog just yet, caring for other people’s dogs is a wonderful way for me to stay connected with animals I love. I work from home as a programmer with very limited work hours, so I have a lot of free time in my schedule. I like to play chess online in the evenings, and I really only go out on Wednesday afternoon/evenings to the chess club, and am otherwise always home. For boarding: I live in a 1,330 sq. ft. pet-friendly apartment. I got permission from my strata council to have a dog stay here. For boarding at my place, it is especially important that your dog does not bark or whine, and is well behaved (no bathroom accidents, chewing on furniture, etc.). For dog-sitting: I would kindly request that your house be clean upon my arrival, and I will return it just as clean upon my departure. My rates are for taking care of your dog. I'm happy to check the mail and do basic requests like this, but watering plants, mowing the lawn, cleaning the house (outside of my mess) is not within the services I provide. For both: I will be home nearly all the time except for 4 hours on Wednesdays and maybe 20m-1h some other days to go buy groceries or pick up food, etc.

About: While a newer face to pet sitting I've had nothing but good times with my clients pets. Have extra poop bags in car. Willing taking dogs on car trips and extra long walks. Have taken care of highly reactive pets before. I love finding new ways to get out and dog walking after work is the perfect way to stretch my legs. Not every weekend has to have plans why not fit in spending time with some amazing pets. Available after 5pm Mon-Thurs Available all day/night Fri-Sun. Will provide pet with love and attention while your not home. Can perform some house cleaning tasks for small additional fee. Will be bringing my own food. (Vegan) During slow moments of pet sitting will most likely be drawing.

About: I am originally from Abitibi-Témiscamingue, a region in Quebec where nature plays a significant role in daily life. Recently retired as a teacher, I’ve relocated to Nanaimo to be closer to my daughter, while staying active by offering support to families in need of assistance with their pets and homes during their absence. Having previously required such services, I deeply appreciate the importance of those who care for loved ones. My experience has equipped me to attend to animals' needs, including walks, health care, diet, always taking into account the specific preferences of both the pets and their owners. I have been delighted to offer pet-sitting services at home, whether for days or weeks. I travel across Vancouver Island and its surroundings (Victoria, Quadra Island, Cumberland, Comox, Gabriola Island, Cedar,etc.), always excited to discover new places while taking care of the animals. I look after your pet at home, ensuring your environment is preserved while guaranteeing your companion's safety. I take into account their personality, routine, and instructions regarding outings (locations, interaction with other animals, etc.).

About: I have had dogs my whole life and enjoy dogs more than people! Love the bully breeds and the rescues but I never discriminate. I am experienced with senior dogs and giving medications. I have also owned a deaf dog. I live in a very securely fenced yard. I work Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30. I am able to come home mid day on a lunch break to give all the love. I also am able to work from home a few days a week. I do have a dog camera at home that notifies me of barking and can check in on them if I am not home. I have a very secure fenced yard. Currently I do not have any pets. I live with my partner and older teen step son who both adore dogs as well. I have experience with crate training.

About: I’ve always had my own dog and at least two cats at a time. Currently I have a Chameleon, Pitty and an old lady cat. She is spicy but I love her. Growing up I’ve ALWAYS had pets in our home and taking care of them was my role so I have an entire life of experience and happy to help others not worry when you’re away because worrying they’re okay isn’t worth not enjoying your time off. I’m currently not working so I’m available full-time until I find a job and then I will adjust my schedule ahead of time afterwards. I will always keep the client informed. In the clients home I will follow their instructions to keep the transition for their pet as smoothly as possible. I can add or remove more requests if you need a hand with anything.

About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats, as well as worked on farms with sheep, goats and chickens and always enjoy getting to meet new animals. I work from home with a relatively flexible schedule. Getting away to drop in or go for a walk is one of my favourite aspects to my current role! I have cared for my own personal pets before, during and after surgeries. I’m very comfortable with administering medications. From young ages to elderly, big to small, I’m very adaptable and always aim to keep animals safe and happy.

About: Experience working in a dog daycare with all ages, sizes, and breeds! I have also worked in a boarding kennel for dogs and cats and have experience administering medications. I love all animals and give intentional care for their needs, as every pet is different! Also lots of experience house sitting with or without animals present. I am able to do overnight care during week days but work during the day. Weekends are dedicated to walks, adventure, and play, wherever we end up! My suite has a fenced grass yard and enough space to offer downtime for my dog and yours if they need it. We live close to trails and I have a very pet friendly and safe suv for outings! Note: My doggo indie is my partner in adventure and joins me if we go places locally. She is well trained and loves people, dogs, and cats!

About: I am a kind and caring life-long animal lover with many years of experience caring for animals personally and professionally. My very first job was walking dogs when I was 10, and I enjoyed every minute of it! I eventually decided to no longer take payment because I was having so much fun with my new furry friends. Ten years ago, I was working and living on a farm caring for horses and had many pets of my own. I loved being with animals so the natural choice was to get my Animal Care Aide certificate from Vancouver Island University, which is a 9 month program training to care for animals medically. I have used the knowledge I gained to provide skilled and compassionate care for my pets and those I have worked with. I have personal and professional experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, birds, small animals and more. My medical knowledge as an Animal Care Aide has given me insight and skills that I have expanded upon over the last 10 years when caring for animals with a variety of medical conditions. For the last 6 years since graduating with a BA in psychology, I have continued to care for animals of my own and transitioned professionally to providing human-focused support and care. I have worked with individuals living with developmental disorders; addictions; and for the past 3 years, with a local not-for-profit organization that helps individuals impacted by cancer. I am currently a distance-education accounting student at home full-time. I have one small and friendly dogs of my own (Ella). I am looking to welcome friendly, well cared for, house trained dogs into our home for daycare and overnight stays. I am happy to take on senior dogs or dogs with special needs. My husband and I have a clean and comfortable single-storey home and fully fenced yard. We are very safety conscious and even have ramps onto our couch and bed for your dog's comfort. The dogs in our home will be treated like members of our family and received quality care and lots of love.

About: I've had animals my whole life from cats, bunnies, dogs and birds currently in the building that does not allow animals. So I would really like get my animal fix in, give love, attention and walk your dog! I'm currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to play with your pups. I live by the waterfront so I can take them for walks almost anywhere they desire! Currently in a building that does not allow animals. What does this mean for you that your pet gets to get the attention and love and comfort in the state of their own home and environment? A lot of animals prefer their environment, so whether you're away or gone all day, I can come and tend to your animal in their home.

About: I have been a foster dog mom for 8 years taking on everything from puppies with parvo, to dogs with all sorts of emotional issues. I have had many dogs in the past including chihuahuas, beagle, pitbulll, border collie and german shepards. Me and my husband lost our beautiful beagle to cancer at the age of 13.5. We would love to host and spoil your fur baby as we did with ours. Administering medication is no issues if needed. We moved to Victoria so our boy could retire in style and oh did he! We just loved him that much, we wanted to show him what living the best last years of his life would be like. We have a cozy space enough room for your pup to spend the night when their humans need to be elsewhere. We travel a ton and know exactly how stressful it is to trust someone with your furbaby. We will provide a peaceful and calm environment with lots of love and fun, We like to go on lots of walks, but also love to hang out at home. Outside of travel we hike, go camping, hang out at the beach. We recently relocated to Nanaimo! Me and my husband work from home, so we will be with your best friend 24/7. I have the ability to take you pup on frequenty potty breaks if that is necessary. We are very outgoing outdoorsy people and love to go for long walks, and hikes on the weekend. This includes sometimes a minimum 10km/day. We would love to bring your furry friend with us! Please ensure you pack your harness for the best experience possible! (This is a requirment) Bookings over 1 week require a day care or boarding trial first to ensure your pet is the right fit for us. Please note we do not accept doodles at this time. We provide a calm and safe space for your pup. I have obedience traning experience, puppy to senior experience. We live in a house with a fully fenced yard lots of space for fun. We also have a big field near us where we like to go play frisbee+ We have crate training experience. Dogs are allowed to snuggle on the couch or bed if they would like. Lots of pets and treats will be had to make them feel safe while in a strangers home please pack the treats and chews! No reactive dogs as we have a sweet puppy who would love a playmate.

About: I have had the pleasure of being apart of 3 different puppies lives, helping out with my housemates huskies, bernadoodles, and labs and have taken an active role while they grew up. Whenever their owners were away, I was always there to step in and watch over them. As a firefighter for the city of Nanaimo, my schedule is quite flexible. My days off rotate weekly and I can be available to walk or look after your pups almost any given day of the week. I'm naturally patient and observant. Every dog is an individual, and I take the time to learn their unique personality, energy levels, and any quirks they might have. Whether your dog is a high-energy adventurer who needs to burn off steam or a more reserved companion who prefers a leisurely stroll, I adapt my approach to suit them. This also means I'm constantly aware of their body language and surroundings, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. I understand the importance of sticking to a routine, and you'll always be informed about our walks, from pick-up to drop-off, and how your dog enjoyed their time. I treat every dog as if they were my own, prioritizing their well-being above all else. I incorporate playtime, mental stimulation, and plenty of positive reinforcement into our outings. From navigating busy streets safely to exploring local trails, I ensure your dog gets the exercise and engagement they need to be happy and healthy.

About: I've grown up with animals my entire life, from horses to hamsters and I could never live in a house without something furry and cuddly to love. When I was in high school I opted to find my own placement for work experience rather than the schools list as I really wanted to work in a reptile house. It was fantastic and I made great friends with a King snake who I named Karl. I work mainly nights on a pub so have my days free to walk as many pooches as I can. I have my own four legged friend who is in desperate need of another furry buddy so if yours is as playful as she is they will have the best time. We are also available for boarding for one, child friendly pooch at a time as we have a very confident toddler who loves doggy cuddles! I work from home so the pups will have constant access to the back yard. I tend to do a quick walk around the block in the morning to start the day and a really good walk in the afternoon, usually down to the dam or up to Mount Benson. I care for your pets as if they were my own. Both my partner and myself grew up surrounded by animals and consider ourselves a family of 5. The dogs take just as much of a priority as we do. When we go walking, it’s as a 5; camping, as a 5. You get the picture.

About: I’ve been walking dogs since I was around eight years old. I was the neighbourhoods trusted dog walker. When one of my clients was unable to care for their dog anymore it was gifted to me as I had made such a good bond and was so good with him. He’s now my beloved little princess. I work as an intern and would love to make a little extra cash and play with your furry friends since I had to leave mine with my parents. I am energetic and can play with animals forever. I love walking and watching pups be so curious, sniffing everything. I am comfortable with big and small dogs. I don’t discriminate between breeds, they’re all little angels to me.
