About: Hello, my name is Hope. I currently live in downtown Squamish and I would love to help you out with your dog or cat. I love making genuine connections with people in the community and look forward to more! I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule to fit in a good long walk, a run or play time with your doggo. if there is anything you need me to be aware of I can try my best to accommodate. My place is ready to welcome your dog.

About: I had a successful positive reinforcement dog training business in Vancouver for several years and now I live in Squamish. I held a CPDT-KA certification which I opted not to renew last year because I no longer teach classes. My own dog is 15 years old and can no longer enjoy a long trail walk with me, so I would like to help other dog owners meet their dogs’ needs. I am also certified in Pet First Aid. I work part time as an EA during the school year and am studying at Capilano University in Squamish to become a teacher. I have a very flexible schedule and the means to travel to do drop ins. I have many years of experience caring for dogs and I love to make them feel calm and happy. I really care about safety and stress management, so I prefer to walk dogs on leash (or a long line) and I usually bring a clicker and a treats so we can build up some positive behaviour.

“Maria and Vinicius were great. We did a meet and greet so they could get to know Alegria and establish her routine. They were always punctual and communicative and sent wonderful updates. Thanks!”

“Eunice was a great walk companion for my dog Minnie! She was very focused on Minnie's comfort and needs and was great with communication and setting up a plan that worked for everyone. Would definitely book Eunice for future walks with Minnie :)”

About: I'm a lifelong dog lover from the UK currently traveling around Canada. I’ve had dogs in my home all my life and have spent the last 7 years dog sitting for a wide range of breeds from energetic dogs who need long, adventurous walks, to older dogs who just enjoy a gentle stroll and relaxing in the park. I’ve also trained my own dog and a friends so I’m comfortable reinforcing commands. Being around dogs is something i miss while traveling, so I’d love the chance to help care for yours as if they were my own. I’m not working so I will be able to follow any routine the dog or animal has. I love to go on long walks so will happily take the dog out for as long as you recommend I am constantly aware of the animals in my care and keep an eye on them whether it’s in the garden at the park or in the house. This also mean I will follow any rules that the owner has set out

“Our dog, Louis, loved Sydney and had so much fun walking and hiking with her. She went out of her way and took him to Cypress mountains for more fun and exercise. Recommended very much and would do more walks in near future ❤️”

“Christine has been incredibly patient and attentive with my pup Kirrah, We recently moved to Vancouver and knowing Kirrah is in great hands while I’m at work has been such a relief. Meeting new people can be scary for Kirrah as she’s quite an anxious pup, but Christine’s calm demeanour put Kirrah at ease immediately. She’s the best!”

About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life. I grew up on a farm with horses, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, parrots and rabbits. my father had a wildlife touring company on Vancouver Island where we observed Killer Whales, Grizzly Bears and sea otters and many other animals. I have over 6 years of experience working and managing pet stores along with dog, cat, and rabbit adoption through the SPCA. I also have experience walking dogs and boarding them in doggy daycare. Due to working in pet stores, I have extensive knowledge of pet foods and products. I grew up with German Shepherds, and owned two Pomeranians that have recently passed due to old age and have worked with rescue dogs as well. I love both domestic and wild animals and am passionate about protecting animals, and the environment. I am an active person that loves to be outside, and going on walks and hikes. My pomeranian Pongo passed away in 2022 from old age, and my second pomeranian Pepper passed away at the beginning of this year from old age. Dog boarding will help bridge the transition for me not having a dog at home anymore, and this way I can still give love and attention to dogs while their families are away traveling. I did some dog boarding with Rover with Pongo, but once I rescued Pepper I stopped dog boarding for about 5 years. Now that pepper has passed I am ready to do this again. I have a hybrid job so I am only in the office Monday to Wednesday and work from home Thursday and friday, which means your pup will have constant companionship from Thursday to Sunday. Monday to Wednesday your pup will only be alone for max 6 hours. I also have flexibility with my job, and can work from home the whole week if your pup cant be alone. I can walk your pup basically as much as they want, I live in a nice neighborhood with parks nearby and can take your pup for forests walks at pacific spirit park if that is something your dog likes. Can give your pup lots of playtime and cuddles as well. I live in an apartment and have a dog safe space (so they cant get into human food or anything else they shouldn't get into). I can take your pup for leashed walks around my neighborhood, to parks, pacific spirit park and nearby beaches if that is something your dog likes. My apartment and my energy is calm and peaceful so your dog will have a relaxing time here with me.

“We started working with Amy a few months ago and she has been amazing. She’s great with our dog, always punctual and very respectful of our place when she house-sits. She is very kind, respectful and understanding. We couldn’t recommend her more. 10/10”

I cared for my elderly dog before she passed at 13 so have experience with dogs of all ages. I am very passionate about pets and giving them the best experience since I know first hand with my own dog how anxious they can be when their pawrents are away. I am a teacher currently working full-time so would be able to provide care for your pet on weekdays after 4pm or anytime on weekends for check-ins. House-sitting is available anytime and once summer starts I can provide care for your pup at any point! I want to focus on your pet having a safe and fun time when you are away so would love to set-up meet and greets to make sure we are a good fit! I also would like to provide them with all the love.

About: I am a soon to be graduated Psychology student at the University of British Columbia. I work a part-time job as a Behaviour Interventionist with kids. I am fairly active and love all animals. I love taking our family dog out for hikes around the north shore and up the snowy mountains. I regularly help take care of my family dog, especially while my parents are on vacation, and I also help to take care of my friends' pets while they are away on vacation. I am especially experienced with taking care of dogs, as I have been around them since I was a kid and love spending time with them. Anyone who knows me knows that I find it difficult to walk past a dog without stopping to say hello.

“Isobel has looked after our home and pets on many occasions, staying in our home so our pets are disrupted as little as possible. Our pets include, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 rabbit, 1 hamster, 4 chickens and a tortoise, so quite a complex list of needs to meet. Isobel took such good care of them I'm fairly sure the dogs looked sad we were home. Our home was really well taken care of in our absence and I would have no reservations recommending Isobel to someone.”

Vanessa F.
“My partner and I now travel occasionally for work. A coworker recommended Vanessa as a dogsitter, so we contacted her and she promptly agreed to take care of our 14-old-Max for 1 week. What makes her business really special is that she provided daily updates and photos of Max and their activities together. Max is a senior dog with few teeth remaining and specific dietary needs, and she was very caring in preparing his meals. Vanessa also kept our home very clean. She is very reliable and we will certainly be using her services every time we are away. We'd highly recommend her to anyone in need of pet care.”

Dai T.
“My wife is one of the most responsible pet caregivers I’ve ever known. We have three cats, and over the years, she’s cared for them with incredible patience, attention, and affection. When we moved to Canada, she put an incredible amount of time, effort, and care into arranging every detail to safely bring them with us from overseas — from boarder office paperwork and travel logistics to making sure they were as comfortable and stress-free as possible during the journey. She has a natural ability to understand animals' needs and personalities, and our cats trust her completely that they follow her around in our house. She’s also looked after pets for other family members, always following instructions closely and giving each pet the love and attention they deserve. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, experienced, and truly caring pet sitter, I can confidently say my wife would be a fantastic choice. Your pets will be in loving hands.”
Alan R.
