We left our dog Finnigan with Steffanie twice a week for several months. She was amazing with him, lots of pictures of the activities she planned. Highly recommended. We only stopped using her because she moved away from the area.

Ashely was so friendly. I felt extremely comfortable leaving Massey with her and the other dogs. I feel Massey had a good time playing with the other dogs as she was tired and relaxed when we got home. Will absolutely use and recommend Ashely

About: I was on rover before under Tracy P. I have experience with dogs, cats, ferrets, geckos, birds, etc! I have a senior dog, Bailey, who is a min pin. She is 13 years old. I have looked after puppies to seniors and all the in between I look after animals all day, everyday! I have two boys, 10 and 8 who absolutely love helping me on weekends to look after the fur babies. I have a fully fenced yard with a heavy gate on one side and a shed on the other, no escaping from my yard. I walk dogs during the day, and do drop in visits. Otherwise I am home with my kids and fur baby

About: I’m known as the go to dog sitter among my friends and coworkers! I love having another personality around the house and my two dogs love it too! My dogs are westie and a blue heeler, so I have some experience with working and high energy breeds! We have tons of walking paths around, river access and a dog park nearby. I’m confident with crates/kennels and giving meds. I have quite a bit of free time and when I do work, I can stop at home for an extra potty break mid shift to make sure all is well My own dogs are crate trained and I prioritize some on and off leash time daily. My boys love frisbee and fetch in the fully fenced back yard and we make time for a few dogsports too! Both are super social with other dogs, we have many adventures camping and meeting with friends.

Marie is a wonderful and caring sitter. She took my dog in last-minute, and cared for her like she was her own. Her house is well prepared for hosting and she sent me frequent updates on how my pup was doing. She also took some beautiful frame-worthy pictures of my girl. I would recommend Marie to anyone!

Lynette is awesome with my mini dachshund, Frank. He is high anxiety, has some medical issues and elderly. She is very calm, careful and loving with him. He is new to being with her and other dogs so he is slow to warm but his 2 visits went very well.

Ana is a complete lifesaver. We had major renovations start in our home earlier than expected and my dog is 14 years old this month. No way I could leave hom at home with strangers making sounds at all hours of the day! She was able to take him in last minute, and provided many updates, photos, and videos throughout the day. Honestly, he is so excited to go he screams when he knows we are almost there. She takes better care of him that I probably do. I highly recommend Ana. She is really nice, takes great care of animals, and clearly loves them. Even my old mop of a boy.

Zoey and Scooter had great care. This is the first time we have used a day home and it was a great experience. They were able to accommodate our short notice so we could both attend an out of town funeral. They have a beautiful yard to play in. If we need their service again we will definitely book with them again. Thanks Gordon and Nina.

About: I’ve always lived with a dog, and have experience with every size pup. I have watched friends pups for years as well. We have 2 kids in the house who are more than excited to help out! I work full time away from home, but my spouse works from home, so someone is always around to be with your dog. We are home on weekends, and evenings. I have a fully fenced in yard. If I’m sitting other pets at the time (with approval from both pet owners), we can separate them to give breaks if required, as we have levels in our house to split them apart. Your dog will be walked 1-2 or more times a day, in the morning and evening minimum. If your dog does well off leash, playing fetch in the green field is also an option. We also like to explore Edmonton in the wetlands and enjoy longer walks on weekends.

Katrina and Ryan are an amazing couple who provided day sitting to my energetic young lab on a number of occasions. My pup comes home happy, healthy, tired and is eager to return for more fun each time. They provide a safe, loving environment for my pup and report on her daily activities/progress with photos. I trust them and highly recommend them. I will continue to use their services and promote them to others.

About: I have grown up with animals my whole life, I have experience raising puppies and have cared for senior dogs, and are more than happy to accommodate your pets needs. Are you looking for a loving home to board your pet while you travel? Board your pet with me! I am home full-time, which allows me to dedicate my full attention to your pet. I have spent my life around and caring for animals, from walking our family's greyhound to round the clock care of and bottle feeding a stray kitten we found who was just a few weeks old. I am dedicated, kind and love animals. With a large, fully fenced back yard, there is plenty of room for your pet to play when weather permits. And best of all, I offer pick up and drop off service for clients living in the Edmonton area. In my fully funished basement dedicated to pet friendly boarding in my home, I use pet-safe products to keep the space clean. If you'd like to take a tour of my pet sitting space, I'm happy to offer a walk through at your convenience. I live with my significant other, Janaya. Together, we are parents to 4 fur babies (3 cats and a dog). Our pets live upstairs. My pet-sitting space is separated by a door between the main floor and basement, allowing me to focus on your pet completely during boarding.

Teena is very caring to our pup. She really took good care of our fur baby. Our pup loves her as he feels home whenever he is with Teena. He knows he is in good hands. Teena accomodates us even in short notice and I am so glad that she treats our pup with love and care. We will definitely come back to her whenever we need someone to look after our fur baby. Highly recommended.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 386 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Fort Saskatchewan. About 90% of Fort Saskatchewan sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalized care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fort Saskatchewan commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in AB ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
