“Ronilyn was amazing! She was always punctual, and she communicated well with my pups. They responded to her calm demeanour. I would recommend Ronilyn to anyone and will ask her to look after my dogs again when needed. Thank you Ronilyn.”

About: Animals are sentient beings that live in the moment and they love without conditions. They are not "pets" but rather, a special member of a family. They are individually unique in character and in their needs. I promise to care for your pet in such a way as to give you complete confidence that their needs are being met with genuine care and compassion, so you can rest easy in this busy world, and not feel guilty for having to work or be apart from them for extended time. My dream is to one day have a sanctuary where many animals can be rescued. It would be my way to give back and live a more meaningful life. But their are many more ways to be helpful.
“We have used Cari many times for help during the day when my husband is away and she’s always fantastic. We often have last minute bookings and she’s proven reliable and flexible with us, it’s very appreciated. We have two large dogs (230lbs combined) and are always confident that she is capable of providing care for them in terms of walks, plays and love. They definitely miss her when the need ends for her service. 10/10 always reccomend.”

About: I grew up with dogs all my life. I have the most experience with Golden Retrievers and Labs. However I recently adopted a rescue puppy through SCARS and am head over heels for her. My days revolve around her in addition to my two teenagers. I am comfortable around most dogs and love spending time outside walking. I will be honest about whether or not I think I would be a good fit to walk your dogs. They are your family after all and deserve someone who connects with them. I do not have a set schedule at the moment, but feel free to reach out and see if I am available ! I work casually at my job and am home most evenings, and some weekdays. I love taking my 5 month old puppy on walks and bonding with her. Some of our walks are focused on leash and heel training, others are geard more toward appropriate socialization, and some are simply just to enjoy the weather and sniff around. I would love to walk your dog and get to know their personality and quirks.
“Janessa was very accommodating for anything I needed with my dog Blais. She walked her two times a day and even helped with her treatments for her osteoarthritis. Janessa came over for a meet and greet first and Blais instantly adored her! I will definitely hire Janessa for her services again in the future!”

“Dottie the Shepherd mix LOVED Sara and was so excited to see her every day. Sara was prompt and took Dottie for walks on familiar territory in our neighborhood. Will definitely use Sara again in the future!”

About: I have been a pet lover since I was a child that grew up on a ranch. I work shift work 7 on and 7 off so I am looking for an activity that I enjoy doing while making some extra cash. My family has always own a Rottweiler so I have years of experience with larger dogs. I currently own a cat 🐈 who is bossy and loveable. The reason I don’t have a dog is because of my work schedule but I would love to spend time with your fur baby. I have experience walking friends and family dogs for them while they were out of town. I am an open book so ask me anything that you want to know about me. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you 😀
“Emily has been a blessing to our family (and two fur babies)! She joined us last minute as we left on holiday, proved herself reliable, trustworthy and a great babysitter/dogs walker. So so that we have kept her on after returning home. Now the pups watch for her and are so excited she comes back to “visit” twice a week. I highly recommend Emily to anyone who loves their pups as we do!”

“Zoe was super great to walk Jett on short notice, she is very friendly and responds quickly which is so helpful when figuring things out in a crunch. I plan to book with her again!”

“Thadora is amazing! She’s extremely reliable and responsible, and my dogs love her! She handles them well and I felt totally at ease knowing their daily walks were getting done by her. Highly recommend!”

About: I’m a reliable and compassionate pet caregiver with years of hands-on experience caring for my own animals, along with professional experience working in an animal hospital. This has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, health, and safety, as well as the ability to stay calm and attentive in any situation. I treat every pet as if they were my own—making sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away I’m currently working part time serving so my schedule is pretty flexible just waiting to go to school in the fall. I’m always able to work around schedules and what works best for the owner. I’m very attentive when it comes to all types of animals. We have a fenced in yard but live on acreage so my pets have a lot of area to run and play but also no chance of them getting lost because they also are trained. I make sure there are no dangerous areas around my home from sharp corners to things on the ground. My dogs constantly have water but are on a strict eating schedule. My cats are fed at all times and also have water at all times. My dogs and cats usually have a goo rotation when it comes to toys I get them ones that won’t harm them if they rip them apart, but if they do I will buy them a new one. I’d say there pretty spoiled animals but when you love them doesn’t seem like work at all.
“Chris has been great with my dog Hank since he was a puppy! He has sat for Hank while always gives me detailed updates and long walks or potty breaks for busy days as well. I couldn't recommend him enough!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fort Saskatchewan choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
