I had to resort to using a pair of pliers to get a good enough grip on it and gentle pulled it out of his jaw. When we were done with this impromptu rescue, that dog became my best friend, every time I went to their house. I am great with dogs of any size, Giant 100+ pound Great Danes to the littlest Chihuahua under 10 pounds.
