Fur babies are family

Hello, and welcome to my Rover profile! Allow me to give you a quick background on me: I’ve grown up in a cat-friendly home for the majority of my life, but was always too busy in my younger years to commit to being a dog owner. My cats have always been my family. Even still, I’m no stranger to dogs. I spent four years working with a security company that employs and utilizes K9’s. That profile picture is of me and my K9 partner. We spent 12+ hours a day working side by side, day in and day out. We focused on her obedience (and attended regular training sessions) but also found plenty of time to play and cuddle. My current home life includes four cats. Yes, you read that right, FOUR! It started when I adopted a stray (Kiko). I then realized she needed a friend to keep her company. But one friend became two when I adopted a mother (Ozzy), daughter (Tamara) duo. When I first met my fiancé, Justin, he owned one cat (Cheddar), but quickly adopted a second (Max) from his family farm. We eventually moved in together, and boom, five cats. It may have taken a while, but they all tend to get along for the most part. Ozzy has been missing since late August 2021, bringing our total from five to four. On April 30th 2022, I took in a dog that my cousin needed to rehome. We had been looking for one anyway, and agreed the she was a great fit. So Koda has officially joined our family. Justin, Koda, and I (along with our army of cats) currently live in a three-story duplex with a front attached garage, and a rear deck catio. We live less than one minutes drive from the nearest vet. We also live within a five minute drive of an extremely large dog park on the south side of Fort Saskatchewan. Next, what can I offer you: I offer daycare and boarding services to cats and dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds, and abilities. Please ensure that you provide all meals (individually packaged) and medications, as well as instructions (amounts, times, etc). Since I will treat your pets like family, they will be allowed on my furniture, so please specify if this is something that you don’t want due to training purposes. I offer house-sitting services. Again, please provide any and all instructions and restrictions for your pets. Since I will be staying in your home, please also include any basic home care instructions. I also offer drop-in and walking services for all fur babies. Does your dog roam freely while on leash? Or are you training them to heel at all times? Just let me know how you would like them to be handled. I found that I have a knack for collar/leash training, so let me know if this is something you would like me to focus on. Justin helps out with most of my clients' pets, so please don’t be surprised if you see him. Shoot me a message. I can’t wait to meet your little angel(s). I have open availability for boarding, daycare, walks and drop-in visits every single day. Most of my clients book between approximately 10am-2pm, but I can always make room for more. I finally have enough clients to support myself 100% through my pet care business, so this is the ONLY thing I do. I am animal first aid certified!! I will care for your animals the same way I would care for my own: with plenty of love, affection, and attention. I allow my animals on the furniture, so please specify if you do not. Please also tell me about any and all expectations you have.

Drop-In Visits • mrt. 07, 2026

We were unfortunately pretty disappointed with our experience with Roni. We noticed she would start the drop-in timer before actually entering the house and end it after she had already left, which shortened the time of the visit. She also arrived either late or much earlier than the agreed-upon times. For $35 per drop-in twice a day (around $400 a week), we expected a higher level of care and communication. During the entire week she looked after our pup, she didn’t attempt to take him for a walk once — even on days when the weather was around +6 and perfectly reasonable for a short walk. Communication was also very minimal. We received pictures, but no updates about how the visit went, how our pup was behaving, or anything else about the drop-ins. Overall, this experience did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend booking with Roni.

Ronilyn did an awesome job! My cats were well taken care of. She provided very cute photos of them while we were on vacation. It was comforting to see my cats were happy and well fed. Thank you Ronilyn! I would recommend Ronilyn to all my family and friends ! :)

A typical day

I love to simply be around animals. I'll do whatever they need/want. I can easily accommodate 5-30km worth of walks throughout the day. I'm constantly trying to explore the walking trails in the city. I'm also very close to the dog park on the south side. I'm happy to play fetch, let the dog socialize, and even run around and play with them.

It is CRUCIAL that I know about any and all health-related issues (including allergies and medications). Are they social or reactive? Energetic or lazy? Do they need your attention 24/7 or are they more independent? Do they have any unusual habits? What else do you think I need to know while caring for your fur baby?
