“Thank you Robyn and family. ( Robyn fit us in last minute ). Huxley had a wonderful time staying with you for the day. He came home happy, tired and very relaxed. Always great signs. 😊”

“Riley had so much fun! Vanessa took her on walks and she got to play with her daughters. This was very last minute so I was really happy that Riley ended up spending the day with such a great family!”

“I would surely recommend Jeremy for dog sitting. He constantly provide updates and photos that gives me so much comfort and joy that my georgina is being well taken cared of. Upon picking up my dog, i can see that she is happy and very comfortable with Jeremy. This is absolutely a good sign that my dog had a great time at his place. Will surely re-book with Jeremy soon!”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover. There are few times in my life where I’ve not been caring for animals. I find myself more comfortable with animals than people. I’m comfortable with all ages and sizes. I work from home so I’m always available to take care of your fur baby. I’m comfortable bathing, trimming nails and administering medication to your pet. We moved to the St. Albert area September 2025. After staying with family these last few months, we have finally found our own home. We are now settled in Erin Ridge North. Looking forward to a meet and greet! I work from home so I’m always available for your fur baby. Meet and greets are required prior to acceptance to ensure compatibility with my dog. I understand that having someone else care for your fur baby is stressful for both the pet and the pet parent. I do everything in my power to maintain a safe environment for all animals in my care.

“Olya went above and beyond to take care of our doggie, Hamish. She even tried feeding Hamish home cooked chicken breast without any spice or seasoning to get him to eat since he wasn’t eating any of his kibble. Hamish took to her and her beautiful family in no time. Olya truly has a way with dogs and it reassured us that Hamish was in safe hands. Definitely would recommend Olya for your dog sitting needs. Thanks so much Olya & family. We are very grateful!”

“Christine was great, I had my puppy Tofu in doggy daycare with her for a few days & she provided updates throughout the day & my pupper never wanted to leave her puppy Winnie at the end of the day! I would highly recommend!!”

About: I’ve always lived with a dog, and have experience with every size pup. I have watched friends pups for years as well. We have 2 kids in the house who are more than excited to help out! I work full time away from home, but my spouse works from home, so someone is always around to be with your dog. We are home on weekends, and evenings. I have a fully fenced in yard. If I’m sitting other pets at the time (with approval from both pet owners), we can separate them to give breaks if required, as we have levels in our house to split them apart. Your dog will be walked 1-2 or more times a day, in the morning and evening minimum. If your dog does well off leash, playing fetch in the green field is also an option. We also like to explore Edmonton in the wetlands and enjoy longer walks on weekends.
“My dog really enjoyed his time with Heather. She made sure Toby was looked after and even made some treats for him. My dog is a handful but she was patient and very attentive. It was already a hit for my dog and I am glad it was a successful meet and greet experience.”

“Ronilyn is very amazing. One of our dogs bear doesn't want to go home anymore lol! I am glad there is one in Fort Saskatchewan that we can trust with our furry babies. Thank you Ronilyn, we appreciated everything you did ❤️”

About: I love pets, and ever since I got one of my own I've done everything to research how to give the best care to them. I don't have any of my fur babies anymore so I can direct all my attention to yours! I work from home! So if you need me to watch the pets or do work around the house - I'm your girl! We can discuss the best possible care for you and your pet ✨️ ❤️ I also live in a house that can accommodate dogs. I have a backyard and I'm always home to give your fur babies love, attention and belly rubs.
“My puppy had a great day and was not anxious at all. I also noticed that Zac’s nails was clipped, one of the few things we are struggling as owners to complete and Joanne did it! So happy for that. Thank you for caring for Zac, greatly appreciate that.”

“My boy Leif had a great time with Jodeen. He can be sensitive, but Jodeen's kindness and genuine love of dogs put him at ease almost instantly. We will definitely be going back for more dog sitting in the future. So glad to have met you Jodeen!”

“Ana is a complete lifesaver. We had major renovations start in our home earlier than expected and my dog is 14 years old this month. No way I could leave hom at home with strangers making sounds at all hours of the day! She was able to take him in last minute, and provided many updates, photos, and videos throughout the day. Honestly, he is so excited to go he screams when he knows we are almost there. She takes better care of him that I probably do. I highly recommend Ana. She is really nice, takes great care of animals, and clearly loves them. Even my old mop of a boy.”

About: I have always loved dogs. As an adult I've had two Labradors that I raised on my own since they were 8 weeks old. They have since passed, and both lived until 11-13 yrs old. I loved spending as much of my time with them. I try to spend as much time outside, going for walks or drives and checking out the sights and smells, throwing a ball around, etc. One of my dogs had to have knee surgery (TPLO) on both knees, so I do have lots of experience with nursing a dog's health and their rehab. I work from home 5 days/wk with a job that's flexible enough to be able to take breaks from my desk and let the dogs out regularly, and go for lunch-time walks (weather permitting!) Your dog can have free roam of the house and yard with regular check-ins. I have a large, fenced backyard. Plenty of room for your pup to stretch, sniff around, play some fetch and blow off some energy. Various walking routes nearby, as well.
About: I’m known as the go to dog sitter among my friends and coworkers! I love having another personality around the house and my two dogs love it too! My dogs are westie and a blue heeler, so I have some experience with working and high energy breeds! We have tons of walking paths around, river access and a dog park nearby. I’m confident with crates/kennels and giving meds. I have quite a bit of free time and when I do work, I can stop at home for an extra potty break mid shift to make sure all is well My own dogs are crate trained and I prioritize some on and off leash time daily. My boys love frisbee and fetch in the fully fenced back yard and we make time for a few dogsports too! Both are super social with other dogs, we have many adventures camping and meeting with friends.
“This was Pandas second visit and she was beyond excited when we got there! Once again we picked up a calm Panda which would not have been the case if she stayed home alone!”

“Rufana’s downtown location was amazing, easy to pick up and drop off. She took great care of Gryffin, and accommodated a last minute booking request. Will absolutely use her again!”

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Morinville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AB ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
