“My dogs spent the day with Ronilyn as a trial for boarding. My little dog can be quite nervous but within a few minutes she warmed right up! I now feel at ease going away knowing they will both be in great hands! Loved that she sent pictures of them throughout the day. I would definitely recommend Ronilyn.”

“Finley had such an amazing day! Marie is wonderful. She took such good care of our pup on his 1st day in the dayhome. She sends videos and photos and is always watching the dogs she is caring for. We are so thankful! Best choice we ever made!”
“Ashely was so friendly. I felt extremely comfortable leaving Massey with her and the other dogs. I feel Massey had a good time playing with the other dogs as she was tired and relaxed when we got home. Will absolutely use and recommend Ashely”

About: I’m known as the go to dog sitter among my friends and coworkers! I love having another personality around the house and my two dogs love it too! My dogs are westie and a blue heeler, so I have some experience with working and high energy breeds! We have tons of walking paths around, river access and a dog park nearby. I’m confident with crates/kennels and giving meds. I have quite a bit of free time and when I do work, I can stop at home for an extra potty break mid shift to make sure all is well My own dogs are crate trained and I prioritize some on and off leash time daily. My boys love frisbee and fetch in the fully fenced back yard and we make time for a few dogsports too! Both are super social with other dogs, we have many adventures camping and meeting with friends.
About: I was on rover before under Tracy P. I have experience with dogs, cats, ferrets, geckos, birds, etc! I have a senior dog, Bailey, who is a min pin. She is 13 years old. I have looked after puppies to seniors and all the in between I look after animals all day, everyday! I have two boys, 10 and 8 who absolutely love helping me on weekends to look after the fur babies. I have a fully fenced yard with a heavy gate on one side and a shed on the other, no escaping from my yard. I walk dogs during the day, and do drop in visits. Otherwise I am home with my kids and fur baby
About: I’ve always lived with a dog, and have experience with every size pup. I have watched friends pups for years as well. We have 2 kids in the house who are more than excited to help out! I work full time away from home, but my spouse works from home, so someone is always around to be with your dog. We are home on weekends, and evenings. I have a fully fenced in yard. If I’m sitting other pets at the time (with approval from both pet owners), we can separate them to give breaks if required, as we have levels in our house to split them apart. Your dog will be walked 1-2 or more times a day, in the morning and evening minimum. If your dog does well off leash, playing fetch in the green field is also an option. We also like to explore Edmonton in the wetlands and enjoy longer walks on weekends.
“Jeremy and Tina did a wonderful job watching Leo! It was our first time having Leo in doggy daycare and we couldn't of picked a better couple to watch Leo. We received a lot of pictures and videos throughout the day of what Leo was doing along with many text messages. It really set us at ease throughout the day knowing that Leo was having fun and was being cared for. Jeremy and Tina took Leo on several walks through the day and played with him a bunch through the day. They knew that Leo had never been to a dog park so they asked in advance if we would be comfortable with Leo going to a puppy park. This was something we really appreciated and showed that they really cared about us and Leo. I would definitely recommend Jeremy and Tina for someone looking for doggy daycare and we will definitely be hiring them again.”

“Riley had so much fun! Vanessa took her on walks and she got to play with her daughters. This was very last minute so I was really happy that Riley ended up spending the day with such a great family!”

“Linda is awesome! I booked with her super last minute, but she made it work. She sent lots of updates throughout the day and even brought my girls for a walk. She had lots of toys for the girls to play with too. Would book again for sure :)”

“Ana is a complete lifesaver. We had major renovations start in our home earlier than expected and my dog is 14 years old this month. No way I could leave hom at home with strangers making sounds at all hours of the day! She was able to take him in last minute, and provided many updates, photos, and videos throughout the day. Honestly, he is so excited to go he screams when he knows we are almost there. She takes better care of him that I probably do. I highly recommend Ana. She is really nice, takes great care of animals, and clearly loves them. Even my old mop of a boy.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. I've owned and cared for many different species - dogs,, cats horses, rodents, reptiles and fish - from youngsters to seniors (as well as pets with special needs). While living abroad from 2020 -2025 I (and my family) fostered numerous dogs and cats for a non profit animal rescue. I also helped the rescue with day to day tasks and animal transports. I truly treat every animal like they’re my own, paying attention to their unique personalities, routines, and comfort. Whether your dog needs medication, your cat is shy, or your puppy is still learning the ropes, I’m patient, gentle, and experienced at adapt to each pet’s needs. I’m also a strong communicator—pet parents appreciate regular updates and photos so they can relax knowing their furry family members are safe, happy, and loved. This isn’t just a job for me, I love animals and it brings me so much joy taking care of them. I have a flexible, home-based lifestyle—perfect for giving pets around-the-clock attention. I am open to going to your home or having your fur babies at my home. I am open to visiting and caring for your pets at your home throughout the day, evening and weekend. Living abroad the past 4.5 years, I have fostered a variety of animals (prominently dogs), for a non profit animal rescue. My pets are used to animals coming and going from our house. I would consider taking a dog or two for care at our house.

“This was Kuma’s first daycare experience! Amanda was a super great host. Very understanding of the puppy type my dog is and knowing how to cater to it. Kuma was met with other friendly dogs who he had tons of play time with. He surely came out super pooped when we got home! Would highly recommend Amanda as safe and welcoming place to stay for any dog!”

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bon Accord commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AB ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
