Wow! This is my first time using Rover and I feel so blessed I found John and Asialee! They are such a sweet family that love dogs and care for them as if they are their own! They went above and beyond with accommodating pick up and drop off around when works best for us. Great communication right from the get go till the end our trip! We will definitely use them again! Coming from someone who wasn't sure about using Rover, I would highly recommend it to people!

Xana took such amazing care of Remy! It was our first time leaving him as a puppy and he had the best time. She checked in with us, sent lots of videos. He was in the best hands and I’m sure he can’t wait to go back and run around with her kids!

About: I grew up on a hobby farm so animals have always just been part of my life. I have had dogs my whole life and just recently said goodbye to my beloved 17.5 year old poodle. Previous to that I had a Chihuahua with a spinal injury and said good bye to her at 14.5 years old. I know firsthand what it means to love a dog through every stage of life, including the senior years. I am patient, easy going and genuinely just love dogs. I have a soft spot for senior dogs and know how to care for them with the extra time and gentleness they need. I share my home with fish and caged birds and I am based in Chilliwack. Whether your pup is young or old, shy or social, I will make sure they feel right at home while you are away. 🐾 I work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, so mornings and evenings are dedicated to walks, feeding and any special care your pup needs. Before I head out for the day I make sure every pet is fed, walked and settled, and when I am home in the evenings it is all about them. Weekends are wide open and I love spending that time outdoors so your dog will always have someone to adventure with! Please note that your pup will need to be comfortable spending a few hours alone during the day and be relatively calm in the home. I want to make sure every dog in my care feels relaxed and settled, and that my neighbours are happy too! I live in a secure apartment building so you can rest easy knowing there is no risk of your pup slipping out a door or gate. We have a great walking area right around the building for bathroom breaks and I love getting out for longer walks in the neighbourhood too. Your dog will always be on leash when we are outside, keeping them safe at all times. Inside, I have a kennel available if your pup feels most comfortable and secure in their own space, as well as plenty of cozy dog beds around the apartment so they can settle in wherever they feel happiest. Your dog will always have a warm, comfortable spot to call their own while they are with me!

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs, horses, cats, bunnies, and birds. Today, I own two German Shorthaired Pointers, cats, and a house bunny. I have great puppy experience from raising two litters of puppies. All pet care is ran out of my semi private basement suite and can be set up for your pets care and needs. The suite walks out directly into a massive, secure yard for instant, safe playtime. Pet care is seamlessly woven into our family’s daily life. Because I work part-time from home and homeschool my children, I am home with the pets for the vast majority of the day. When the weather is nice, we spend a lot of our time out in our large fenced yard, handling school lessons outside while the dogs and pets enjoy the fresh air and space to run. Any time we do leave the house, it is only for short periods, such as a quick grocery run or dropping off and picking up the kids from their extracurricular activities. Your pets will rarely be left alone and will get plenty of daily attention, companionship, and yard time as part of our regular routine! Secure Outdoor & Indoor Spaces: I have a large, secure fenced yard for playtime and a whole basement dedicated to pet care. Quiet & Safe Retreats: I have a separate room available to provide a quiet space whenever a pet needs some downtime. Secure Departures: If I need to step out briefly, pets are safely kenneled. For pets that do not kennel, we utilize the private room as a secure, comfortable safe space while I'm away.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs for as long as I can remember. When I was born, my parents already had two Dobermans, and after they passed, we welcomed a Weimaraner into our family — and later, his son. Around the age of 18, I adopted a Dachshund, followed a few years later by a lovable Pitbull. My mom also took in a rescue from the street, so our home was always full of wagging tails and happy paws. In 2021, I moved to Canada and made the hard decision to leave my elderly Dachshund with my mom. He was deeply bonded with her and already in his senior years, and I knew it was the best choice for his comfort and happiness. Now, after a few years of settling in, I’ve decided it’s time to welcome a dog into my home again — and that’s how Akira, my miniature Dachshund, came into my life. I work from home full-time, which means I’m able to give pets in my care plenty of attention, companionship, and consistent routines throughout the day. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments and understand how unique each pup can be. Whether it’s playtime, quiet cuddles, or long walks, I truly love spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe and loved. I work from home, so I’m with my dog Akira all day. We take breaks throughout the day for playtime, cuddles, and fresh air. It’s easy for me to fit in extra feedings, or whatever your dog might need. Having dogs around just makes the day better, and I love giving them the attention they deserve. I care for pets the same way I’d want someone to care for my own, with love, patience, and attention to their individual needs. Whether it’s sticking to their usual schedule, giving them space to relax, or making sure they get lots of play and affection, I adjust my care to what works best for them.

My honey and I have been using Ms. Dollys services to watch our two naughty 75 pound plus babies for a few months now. I think we have boarded our dogs a total 4 times with her. She’s always super accommodating and willing for emergency stay overs if your 4 hour drive from Oregon turns into 8 hours (life saver). Ms. Dolly handles my helicopter dog mom ways and assures me “ I got this” ( she really does) Our babies LOVE Ms. Dolly and even know her by name. They get some serious zooms when we leash up by the door and mention dolly town. Upon first arriving a few months ago I was so happy to see she has a full on kennel set up, rubber washable mats, large and heated areas to run and play on icky days. Toys, leashes you name it. We even forgot our food one time, no worries dolly had a back up that matched the very specific sweet potato and salmon diet we had going. It’s like having a family member watch your dogs but the family member is also super professional and also operates a full puppy bizniz. Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out a secondary form, shots, vet, food routine, emergency contact ect. Ms. dolly is seriously a pro. Drop off is always super emotional for us but Ms. Dolly always sends pics and videos. It seems like she hangs out with our dogs all day by how much play time they actually get. They even did a bonfire and hung out with our pups the way we would do in our backyard. Your dogs are family and it shows. Ms. Dolly has a full backyard where your dogs can run and play and party all night if they wanted. This is a serious plus for our very energetic pitbull and spaz German Sheppard. I would never choose another boarder. Thank you Ms. Dolly, we love you! - Brandon, Katy, Ghost and Ranger.

About: Since I was a young child, I have been so drawn to a wide variety of animals. I have rescued and rehabilitated many wild animals, and taken care of many pets of all sizes! I have personally had cats, dogs, bunnies, birds, lizards, snakes, fish, chickens and nuce as loving pets. I admire how each animal is truly unique and special. My dream ia to open an animal rescue someday and help find long-term loving homes for many of our homeless local cat and dog populations. Everywhere I go, I make new animal friends, and they are drawn to my calm and caring energy. Your pet will be treated like my own, and you can trust me to keep your pet safe. I currently have 2 cats of my own whom I absolutely love and spoil! Call me Miss Do-little! My personal schedule is quite flexible, and I can often accommodate short notice bookings, and be flexible with my client's schedules. I ask questions to ensure proper care and follow owners instructions to keep their pet and myself safe and well. People can trust me in their homes and with their animals! My personal schedule is flexible and I work my own appointments around my work schedule. If I am injured or sick, I will contact you ASAP to let you know if we need to modify our booking. I always require a meet and greet at my home to see if your dog will get along with my cats. I will not bring a dog into my home that has any history of violence towards cats. When I care for a pet in my home, I always make sure there is nothing in my home or backyard that could hurt them or make them sick BEFORE their arrival. My cat's food gets moved up and your dog gets a large clean water bowl. All animal food, treats, medicines are locked away for safety. I have a fully fenced backyard with a secure gate, and a cable line for dogs that need to be extra secured. There are multiple spots in my backyard with shade and plenty of space for your dog to sunbathe and roll in the grass. There is always access to clean drinking water and I have toys specifically for outside play. I have a gate in the hallway to allow separation from my cats if need be, and my cats get full access to our catio patio. I will leash your dog inside my home while they get used to my cats, to keep everyone safe. Your dog is welcome to sleep on a bed on my bedroom floor or on my bed if they choose to. I have blankets on each of my couches that get changed and washed between each dog, so they are welcome to nap or cuddle with me on the couch. I have a been of shared dog toys that get replaced or washed often.

I want to start by saying that I am not a typical review'er but I am completely blown away with the care that was given to Goose. The amount of physical activity that was provided to Goose and the other dogs that were there was completly mind blowing. I have NEVER left my dog with anyone other then Doggie Day care building up for our trip to be away. Goose came back from her time away COMPLETLY stable and not even a single ounce of stress and she was there for 5 days. We have found our care giver for life!

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 79% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
