I grew up on a hobby farm so animals have always just been part of my life. I have had dogs my whole life and just recently said goodbye to my beloved 17.5 year old poodle. Previous to that I had a Chihuahua with a spinal injury and said good bye to her at 14.5 years old. I know firsthand what it means to love a dog through every stage of life, including the senior years. I am patient, easy going and genuinely just love dogs. I have a soft spot for senior dogs and know how to care for them with the extra time and gentleness they need. I share my home with fish and caged birds and I am based in Chilliwack. Whether your pup is young or old, shy or social, I will make sure they feel right at home while you are away. 🐾

I honestly can't recommend Carmen enough!! She has cared for my dogs as if they were her own, and that means everything to me. She is incredibly reliable, caring, attentive, and has such a natural connection with animals. My 2 big dogs absolutely adore her, and I always have complete peace of mind knowing they're in her care. Carmen D has spent weekends watching our 8 year old mixed small breed dog Mochi with great success mochi is always excited to see Carmen for kisses and walkies! Pays attention to details when he has special dietary needs due to pancreatic flare ups and mobility support issues as he ages.

While I was away, Carmen took wonderful care of my pets, including one of my cats who requires lung medication administered through an AeroChamber. She handled this with confidence, patience, and great attention to detail, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. What I appreciated most was her communication. Carmen provided daily updates and made a point of messaging or calling me every evening with an overview of how my pets' day had gone. Those nightly check-ins were incredibly reassuring and allowed me to relax, knowing my pets were happy, healthy, and receiving excellent care. Carmen is reliable, compassionate, and attentive to each pet's individual needs. She went above and beyond to ensure both my pets and I felt at ease. I am incredibly grateful for the care she provided and would not hesitate to trust her with my pets again. Schedule
I work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, so mornings and evenings are dedicated to walks, feeding and any special care your pup needs. Before I head out for the day I make sure every pet is fed, walked and settled, and when I am home in the evenings it is all about them. Weekends are wide open and I love spending that time outdoors so your dog will always have someone to adventure with! Please note that your pup will need to be comfortable spending a few hours alone during the day and be relatively calm in the home. I want to make sure every dog in my care feels relaxed and settled, and that my neighbours are happy too!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a secure apartment building so you can rest easy knowing there is no risk of your pup slipping out a door or gate. We have a great walking area right around the building for bathroom breaks and I love getting out for longer walks in the neighbourhood too. Your dog will always be on leash when we are outside, keeping them safe at all times. Inside, I have a kennel available if your pup feels most comfortable and secure in their own space, as well as plenty of cozy dog beds around the apartment so they can settle in wherever they feel happiest. Your dog will always have a warm, comfortable spot to call their own while they are with me!
A typical day
I love keeping dogs active and engaged during their stay! Depending on their energy level, we might do daily walks around the neighborhood or trips to a nearby park for fresh air. For mental stimulation, I use snuffle mats and lick mats, which most dogs love. There's also plenty of downtime for cuddles and relaxing at home — every dog gets a mix of exercise, enrichment, and affection based on what they're used to. I'm happy to send photo updates so you can see them enjoying their stay!
