About: I have been dog sitting since I was 17, spent the night at houses with animals, provided walks, food, baths and playtime. Many clients have asked me back. I have worked with both cats and dogs. I also grew up with cats and dogs and know how to care for them well. I am licensed to administer medication to humans, and have volunteered with wild animal rescues, so I can care for sick animals too. I choose the hours I work at my job, allowing me to pick up a shift at any hour and remain flexible with last-minute changes. I won’t be boarding at my home, but I have reliable transportation and wouldn’t mind taking your dog to a dog park or nearby hiking trail. About: Throughout my life I have taken care of my own and partner's pets. As a 'ski bum' I have often taken care of roommate's as if they were my own...including one instance when they were absent/unavailable to authorize expensive care for an elderly dog (Dakota, RIP) so I layed with him and listened to his heart stopped beating and he took his last breath and stayed by his side while the sun came up and his owner/my roommate returned 4 hours afterwards. I also am the one that shows up to feed, water, and walk assuming responsibilities for pets as if they were my own. I am currently picking up shifts as a freelancer in the service industry so I am able to have a flexible schedule as well as am able to be available when most people are working...i.e. midday I am very attuned to the animal's personal needs, schedule, routines, etc and consider current and upcoming weather patterns in order to insure they are properly taken care of

walkers on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
