About: I have been dog-sitting since I was a child. Anytime my neighbors went out of town, they would ask me to take care of their dogs such as feeding them, playing with them, and taking them outside. One of them was a K-9. Since then I have volunteered at my local animal shelter, and I currently work with children who developmental disabilities such as autism. I’m currently working: Monday 3PM-6PM Tuesday 9AM-1PM, 3PM-6PM Thursday 9AM-1PM, 3PM-6PM Friday 2PM-5PM Saturday 9AM-12PM Any time not listed above is my availability. I have plenty of experience with dogs. I currently don’t have any of my own due to my household not allowing pets, but I grew up dog-sitting for my neighbors and have since volunteered at my local animal shelter.
About: Hi! I’m Savannah, a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for pets of all kinds. I understand that pets are family, and I’ll treat yours with the same love, patience, and attention I’d want for my own. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a reliable routine while you’re away, I’m committed to providing safe, dependable, and loving care. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family! Pet care is my full-time focus, so your pet will receive plenty of attention, love, and consistent care throughout the day. I have a flexible schedule and can easily accommodate your pet’s routine, whether that means walks, playtime, feedings, medication, or lots of cuddles. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are my top priorities. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home is clean, safe, and pet-friendly, with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can run and play securely. I also have a friendly, playful Yorkie-Maltese who loves making new friends and is always excited to have a playmate. I’ll make sure your pet feels loved, comfortable, and right at home during their stay.
“Courtney came over to visit our dog a week prior to walking. She’s super friendly, reliable, communicative, and awesome, and we are so excited to have her back to walk him!”

“Shawna is such an amazing dog walker! I am very particular on who is around/handles my dog and she has always gone above and beyond to make sure my dog is safe and happy! It’s such a huge piece of mind knowing that he’s is getting exercise while I’m at work. She always leaves the best reports for me to read after their walks 😊 Thank you Shawna for loving my dog as much as I do!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have grown up with dogs in my home. For the past 8 years, I’ve also had a cat who has taught me so much about patience, care, and the unique bond we share with our pets. Between my own pets and caring for friends’ cats and dogs, I’ve gained experience with different personalities, ages, and needs. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I truly enjoy making pets feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care is naturally part of my daily life since I’ve always had animals at home. I love starting and ending the day with walks, playtime, or cuddle sessions. Because I currently have a very flexible schedule, I can easily fit in feeding, exercise, and companionship throughout the day, making sure pets feel loved and cared for just like they would with their own family. In my home or in a client’s home, I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow the routines they’re used to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or quiet companionship so they feel at ease. I give lots of attention, cuddles, and exercise when needed, and I’m always careful to keep their environment clean, calm, and stress-free. Every pet is unique, and I make sure to adjust to their needs so they feel cared.

You can tell she is an animal person and is very understanding and patient with our puppy! I’d highly recommend her and will definitely work with Kristin again! She also takes very thoughtful pictures that captures our puppy’s energy.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I don’t think there was a year in my life where I did not have a dog to help take care of! I have taken care of small dogs, medium dogs, and big dogs! We also had a lot of other animals while I was growing up. I’ve taken care of birds, fish, reptiles, and even rabbits. So I am happy to take care of other pets as well if you have them and we can talk prices! Depending on the needs of your pets, I will form my schedule around taking care of them! As of right now this is my main job but as soon as I find another job this will become something I do on the side for a passion hobby. I will always start by asking the owner of the pets to explain their needs and wants before implying anything that I would do on my own. (Customer needs and wants come first) I have fun playing with the animals dogs and cats alike. So if they have favorite toys if I am house sitting then I will let them have fun with that! If I am walking dogs I tend to keep a steady pace so that the dogs get good healthy exercise.
About: I worked as a behavioral tech for over a year where I learned all about behavioral training. I’ve had great success with my own dog at home. We have almost always had a dog in my house and know how important of a family member they are. I dog sit for several families when they go on vacation and have been doing this for about a year or so. My background is with children and have a lot of patience and love as a result! I am available full time as of right now. If this changes, I will update my availability ASAP. I wouldn’t be away from the home for very long most of the time. Any occasion where I would be away from the home for a significant amount of time, I would first make sure that the dog was completely cared for (fed, watered, pottied, and played with) before leaving. I will not be providing care in my own home. However, I do know of a dog park in the area as well as public parks for walks.
About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. I have trained my puppy who is well-behaved and so sweet. I love animals, sometimes more than people at times. Some Sundays will be available as well depending on the time. I care for my pets as if they are part of the family, and I will do the same for your pet. I will make sure your pet is happy and healthy.

About: I've lived with dogs my whole life. Cared for many animals from birth to doggy heaven. I love animals so much I should have to pay to pet sit for people. My dog is very high maintenance, so he gets all the brushing and teeth care one could ask for everyday. I cut his hair myself and train him. I have a nice sized back yard that's fenced in and small from yard as well. Plenty of space to play around and all the amenities one would need.

In my home I care for my cat Bella by giving her lots of love and making sure to keep her litter box cleaned and let her have her outside time around the yard. My cat Toby, I give him treats and try to teach him some tricks. Give lots of attention and time to play with his toys. He’s a little monster but I love him. About: Growing up, my family had a menagerie of pets. In addition to cats and dogs, we had everything from rabbits, chickens, horses, birds, both salt water and fresh water fish. Today, I keep a few species of reptiles and occasionally help my grandma with our two family horses. Looking forward to getting in my cat/dog time in with your pet! I'm widely available mon-fri during the days when most people are at work. While I'm less available on weekends, I am occasionally available on Saturdays. I like to meet animals where they're at and work from there. Whether that means going slow on walks or going to the park to run, is up to the dog. For cats, everything is on their terms also, it just looks different.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bucktown
Courtney walked my big, crazy yellow lab, Summer, while I was out of town. Summer can be weird around people she doesn't know well, and she can also be reactive on walks, but Courtney managed her very well, and Summer is happy to have a new friend. We will definitely book Courtney again in the future.

Elliot was absolutely fantastic with our dogs. We needed someone last-minute before going out of town, and he showed up right on time for the meet-and-greet. One of our dogs has significant anxiety when we leave and did not warm up to anyone the entire time we were gone — but Elliot remained incredibly gentle, patient, and respectful of her boundaries the whole time. He even went out to buy more treats when we ran out and was thoughtful enough to ask about any food allergies first. For our anxious dog, he found kind alternatives to walking her so she wouldn’t feel pressured, while still making sure she was safe, comfortable, and cared for. Throughout our trip, he sent pictures, videos, and regular updates, keeping us informed every step of the way. We will definitely be using Elliot again. He’s an amazing dog walker and a truly compassionate, trustworthy person to care for your pets.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
