About: I moved to Richmond about a year ago, which meant leaving my two pups back home with their dad. As rural, born-and-bred dogs, city life just wasn’t the right fit for them. So now, I’m filling that gap by spending time with other people’s furry friends! I’ve become the go-to dog walker for my neighbors, and I genuinely love it—it gives me my weekly dose of wagging tails and happy walks. I’d love the chance to walk your dog and give them the care, attention, and exercise they deserve. Pet care is something I’ve naturally built into my weekly routine. Since moving to Richmond about a year ago and leaving my two dogs back home, I’ve really missed that daily connection with animals. I’m flexible, reliable, and happy to fit walks into my routine in a way that works best for both you and your pup. I will provide attentive, personalized care based on each pets routine and personality, whether I’m in my client’s home or caring for them on a walk. I make sure every pet gets plenty of exercise, affection, and supervision, while sticking closely to any instructions the owner provides regarding feeding, leash use, or behavior preferences.

About: My family has had dogs since I was born, and since I was 10 I took on jobs looking after the dogs in my neighborhood. I have a lot of availability during weekdays and nights, as well as general flexibility in my schedule! I also have a car so I am able to get where I need to go in a punctual manner. I have a fenced in yard, and my house is right next to a wooded park that is great for walks. As for cats, I have a large bedroom, and well as some baby fences I could use to block doors to the outside. I also have cat toys!

About: I have had pets personally and cared for friends & neighbors pets for several years. My partner and I’s sweet fur baby Tito passed away this past September and I am looking to be around pets without the commitment of pet-parenthood again quite yet! I am self-employed with a non-traditional job so I have plenty of weekday and evening flexibility! My family lives in Richmond area so I also do not typically travel around holidays. I will treat your fur baby like my own and hope to give them some comfort and love so you can do what’s important to you outside the home.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I have handled dogs as small as Pomeranians and as big as full grown pit bulls. I also have experience in caring for pups as young as 8 weeks and as old as 13 years. I currently work 9-5 until end of summer and spend the rest of my day with the pups. I go to the dog park almost daily. I wake up at 6/7am to feed the dogs let them out and have time with them before work. When I get back they eat dinner, go on a walk, and finish at a dog park before going home to relax. I have a privacy fenced in yard, lots of treats, two fur babies of my own who love to meet new friends and will keep your babies company. I allow dogs to be in the couch to enjoy comfort and snuggles if wanted. I also own a large crate for any pup to use if they need a space away to themselves.

About: I grew up in a multi-cat household and now own 5 cats between my parents and myself! There's no kitty I can't handle - from super social, to shy, to very sassy, I'm known to be able to form a bond with every cat that comes into my care. I'm also a lover of all animals, I owned fish and lizards and have spent a lot of time helping walk and take care of my family's dogs. My animals are my life, and I've been on Rover for almost four years now! I also have a lot of experience working for Happy Cats Concierge LLC in Reston, VA, where I provided a range of services for cats of various quantities, ages, and personalities. Whether your furry friend needs a playmate, cuddle buddy, bodyguard, or just someone to stop by for food and medicine - I got you! My schedule is open and my day-to-day is flexible! Any specific dates I’m unavailable will be reflected on my calendar. Please message me with any other scheduling questions. Inside, outside, leash or no leash, crate, etc., I will honor the owner's wishes for where their furry friend needs to be spending their time. About: I’ve been dog-sitting for about 5 years now. I’ve mainly taken care of small to medium sized dogs but I’m open to looking after larger dogs as well. I am very reliable and have a lot of energy to keep your dog entertained throughout the day. I love going for walks and and going to dog parks if allowed by the owner. I live in an apartment and it’s dog-friend and the apartment has a dog area where they can relieve themselves. I live in a studio apartment but there’s plenty of open space where your pup can lounge around. I’m very attentive of your dogs needs, so I stay on top of taking them out for walks and making sure their water bowl is kept full and following their feeding schedule. Also open to grooming and showering your dog, especially if they are staying overnight with me. If your pup is energetic and loves to play we will be a great match!!

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a teenager, including puppies and senior dogs requiring medication. I'm well handled walking strong and reactive dogs, and can do grooming for long stays. I currently work part time (occasional Saturday nights) and am available to care for dogs throughout the day. I'm an early riser and love walking the neighborhood in the morning. I'm happy to play with extra energetic dogs. For home visits, I will be available to visit twice a day, or can stay with dogs in the home.

About: I have been working with animals for ten years now! I owned a dog care and behavior management business in Richmond before taking a break to continue my education and now hold a BS in animal behavior and cognition. I have worked with dogs of all shapes, ages, sizes, breeds, and backgrounds…name it and I’ve probably done it or at least have a related funny story! I specialize in adult and senior dogs who exhibit behaviors such as reactivity, fear, aggression, and anxiety and dogs who have specialized health conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, gastrointestinal issues, joint pain, and cognitive decline. Given my background and specialty, I’m a huge advocate for consensual interactions and give the dogs in my care as much choice and autonomy as possible. I’m also a big fan of enrichment activities that encourage species typical behaviors and tailoring care to each individual dog’s unique needs. Dogs will always be my first love and I can’t wait to meet yours! I owned a business working with dogs full time and hope to continue that journey through Rover! I am available for 30 minute visits and hour long visits Monday-Friday from 9-6 and am available for overnight care + housesitting Monday-Sunday. As of right now, I am only available to care for animals at the clients home. I have found through experience that animals typically do better when in their own homes surrounded by familiar sights, sounds, and smells. This also allows me to follow the dog’s exact schedule and routine which aids in reducing any anxiety the dog might experience. I like to tailor my care to each dog’s individual needs. Some dogs love to power walk for an hour straight, others prefer to cuddle on the couch with a five minute potty break, and some prefer interactive playtime with lots of verbal praise! Each dog is unique and deserves an individual experience based on their needs and the clients needs.
