“Great job! I was in a pinch and Jack was able to come walk my little buddy. Gave him an extra long walk in the afternoon! A true animal lover. Would definitely recommend and use again!”

About: Hello! My name is Avery ..... I have had dogs all throughout my life and plan to keep it that way! As a kid I grew up with with two beagles, a chocolate lab, a pit bull, and most recently a rescue shar pei/ lab mix. I love seeing every animals personality shine through and spoiling them with love and attention. Each one of my dogs has loved the outdoors (almost as much as me) and had lives full of adventure and exercise. I have also lived with cats and love them (through my previous roommate). I love animals of all breeds and sizes and would love the chance to meet yours! I am a current student so my schedule is semi flexible at the moment. Currently unavailable/working Tuesday evenings (although i pick up other shifts when im able). I try my best to keep my calendar updated to reflect my availability, please reach out if you have any questions! I am super active and would love to spend time outside walking with your pet if you' like and the weather allows! If not we can spend time in-doors playing.

“Callie did a fantastic job taking my dog out for walks this week! She is friendly and easy to communicate with, engaging and caring toward my pup, and I would absolutely reach out to her again for pet care.”

About: I’ve been a groomers assistant and bather at a grooming shop and doggie daycare for a few years in past and I have access to a dog bathing suite for $15 for the use and $25 per dog. Blow drying those furry friends coats out! :) I’ve been dog and house sitting for years and I have had a few dogs of my own. I get excited to see every dog and cat I meet, they really make my day. If you’re out of my walking radius and still would like me to care for your pets you can provide transportation fees then I’d be happy to accept the jobs if I’m available that are last minute when you can’t find someone else. This is my only job, caring for pets now. I have worked for over 30 years and I have found pet sitting to be the best retirement gig for my wellbeing. So I’m available quite a bit. I can walk dogs or do house visits for either cats or dogs. I can help with training if you have rules or something you’d like me to help with for your pets. I can also pick up an item you may need from premier pet shop.

About: I have taken care of various types of dog babies across many states. I learn quickly about what a dog needs especially when factoring in weather. I work from home most days and run in the evening. Usually long distance runs are in the morning so not inconvenient for night stays. For my home, I have a very spacious dog park and closed in balcony. Also live close to the riverwalk for night walks. There is space in home for medium sized crates if necessary.

“Marissa is amazing!! During our meet and greet, she was very attentive and asked thoughtful questions that showed me she is well-versed in dog behavior. Her communication is prompt and friendly, and I could tell my dogs adored her!!”

About: My name is Kate and my love for animals is what prompted me to enter the world of pet care. I grew up in a home with dogs and guniea pigs and learned early on how to be responsible in caring for a pet. The Humane Society was close to my childhood home, I would walk there weekly to go in and visit all the different animals and dreamed of owning a bunch one day myself. Later on in my twenties I learned what it was like to have a cat and now am a self proclaimed, obsessed with all the things cat. Currently I have two cats, a spunky Bengal named Benny and a sophisticated tuxedo baby named Olive. My hobbies include weightlifting, walking, yoga, ceramics, listening to podcasts, reading, baking and traveling. I currently work full time Mon-Thurs, 4 days a week which allows me to have, Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning or afternoons available for drop-in visits or walking your pet. I currently am not able to board any other animals in my home as I have two cats that prefer to be the only pets.

About: I've helped care for family pets in the past, am an attentive cat mama of my own 2 year old cat, and have also previously provided animal care as a personal assistant in Metro Detroit. I've had practice and done a lot of researching to make sure I am a knowledgeable and resourceful caretaker. I work hybrid! When working from home, I can keep my eye on them. And I prepare very well when I know I'm going to be away for a few hours. I understand wanting to make sure animals are tended to, so even if I do have to step out, I time it and try to make sure I'm not gone too long. We will be indoors! If you want your cat to get fresh air outside (aside from being at an open screened window), I have a backpack with a window bubble on it specifically made for small animals, it also opens out into a small structure that'll let them play and stretch their legs a lot more while still not able to roam without supervision! I also have a little tote bag for an animal where they can poke their cute head out. I keep an eye on what they're interacting with to make sure it's nothing that'll harm them as well.

“Joe was great! I booked him to walk Graé several times while I flew to Detroit for an interview. Unfortunately, Graé suffered a dog attack the day before I was set to leave so that added a little more burden on Joe than anticipated. Joe walked, fed and administered Graé's meds in the evening and the morning. To make sure they got along Joe stopped by my place the night before for a meet and greet with my pup. While gone, Joes sent photos and updates to his time with him; I great help! I will definitely be using joe again if the need arises and he's available.”

“Ashley was great with walking my dog Juniper! She always kept me updated and sent cute photos of their time together that made me feel good about his care. I’m grateful she was able to walk him.”

About: Hi, I'm Ashton! I grew up with both cats and dogs and truly love both, as well any other furry/scaly/feathery animal you might have. I was also a nanny for about 8 years and in addition to caring for the children and the home, I took care of the pets of each family I worked for. I have experience with puppies and kittens to older, slower animals and always cater my care to a pet's unique needs and personality. I'm more than happy and able to assist with any medication administration, training, and exercising of high-energy dogs. As someone with a million photos of my cats and dog, I will also make sure you get the cutest shots of them living their best lives while you are away. Over the years of experience with child, home, and pet care, I have proved myself to be reliable and flexible and hope to gain your pets' and your trust. I look forward to meeting you! I have a flexible schedule and can be available any day of the week for drop-ins, walks, and overnights. Whether it's early mornings or late nights, I can be your reliable source for pet care! I never rush an animal to be comfortable with me but will gladly give them the love and attention they need when they're ready! I always make sure to listen closely to any guidance given to me by pet owners to make every visit go smoothly.

If you're worried about your pet being in a construction zone, not to worry! The living area is safe and segmented from anything that might be hazardous yet intriguing to your pet. I have a partially fenced yard, perfect for supervised play. Living in midtown means that there's plenty of interesting things to smell along walks. I can crate your dog if needed, and you're welcome to bring their own if that makes them most comfortable. I have quite a few house plants in my space, so please let me know if your pup is prone to chewing on them and I will move them out of the way for their visit.

“Avery has been an incredible pet owner and caretaker since we met in 6th grade. Her dedication and love for animals are unparalleled, making her the perfect person to entrust with your fur babies. Personal experiences have proven her reliability and responsibility. Avery graciously stayed at my house to watch my two cats for over 2 weeks while I was out of the country. She treated them with the same love and care as I do, ensuring they felt comfortable and secure. I knew she had all situations under control which was comforting with me being so far away. Now having her own dog, she loves taking her high energy companion on long walks, visits parks, farmers markets, and arranges puppy playdates, all to enrich Goose's life with joy and social interactions. Avery's hardworking nature and unwavering trustworthiness make her an ideal pet owner. She wholeheartedly cares for animals, and her dedication ensures that your beloved pets will receive the utmost attention, love, and care they deserve.
