“My first time using Ericka to watch my dog Toby and I'm very pleased with the job she did. She sent me pictures of Toby each day which I enjoyed receiving. Toby requires eye drops 5 times per day so it's a bit of work to care for him. Also pleased that the house was in good order when I returned. I hope to use Ericka again in the future.”

“We cannot express how grateful we are for Heather. Not only does she clearly love our animals, but she communicates so well and eases any anxieties we have about leaving our two dogs and cat! Additionally, she always leaves our home so impeccably clean. We are so grateful for her and cannot recommend her enough!!”

About: I am a current kennel attendant at Camp Bow Wow and a volunteer at Kitty Queen Cat Rescue for many years! I have plenty of experience with all ages and breeds of animals! I am completely available outside of my doggie daycare schedule! It does change weekly, but I don’t mind squeezing your pets into my schedule! I am very well educated on the love and care that our furbabies need to thrive! I pride myself in my commitment to building a trust filled relationship with every animal I come across!
“Patrick did an outstanding job caring for our dog and home. He was attentive, responsible, and kept us well-informed with great communication throughout. Our dog was clearly well cared for, and we returned to a spotless house. We would not hesitate to book him again and highly recommend him to others.”

“Kamryn is hands down the best sitter we’ve ever trusted with our senior dog. She goes above and beyond to care for him with so much attention, patience, and genuine love - it truly shows. Being away is never easy, but knowing he’s with Kamryn gives us complete peace of mind. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her and can’t recommend her enough!”

“Amanda was an awesome sitter. She was prompt and very kind. I have 5 dogs, one being a 16 week puppy and she took great care of them! She sent me pictures and kept in touch with me during the stay. I definitely will have sit again. She is a kind-sweet hearted person and I have confidence and trust in her. Thanks again Amanda!”

“Hired Robin to sit with our senior dog and 10 month old puppy for a few hours while we were out! She was great! The puppies really enjoyed their time with her! Would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to hire a dog sitter!”

About: I have been petsitting since I was in 7th grade (for walkable neighbors until I could drive!). I have experience taking care of and giving medication to young and old dogs and cats (pills and ear/eyedrops). I’ve watched senior dogs and puppies just a few weeks old. I have an especially good way with cats (especially skittish or standoffish ones) but I have plenty of experience with both. I have been called a cat whisperer more than once in life! And while I hope I don’t need to demonstrate this skill for you, I have done more than my share of flea baths on cats and dogs. I’ve been vegetarian 8 years and animals have always been my favorite thing about life. I work Mon-Fri from 8am-12pm, so I have almost my entire day and weekends to spend time petsitting. After that my only other obligation is petsitting! I am able to come by your house however many times a day you see fit, and I always love to just hang out with your pets for a little while to keep them company while you are gone! I am willing to do walks, baths, or just chill out depending on what your pet and your schedule is usually like. Since my other job is done so early in the day, I am able to stop by as often as you’d like.

About: I’ve taken care of my own cats and dogs since I was little. I played with them, walked the dogs when needed, fed them, cleaned out litters boxes or the yard. I’ve played with neighborhood pets too. I work at a hospital, nights. I work three days a week and my typical shift is 7pm to 7am. I get home, sleep for a couple hours, and then I get up. I can do pet care the moment I’m done with work or later in the afternoon. I have two cats personally. They are fed every morning when I wake up, and every evening my boyfriend comes to feed them while I go to work. They have dry food that they can graze on through the day, water bowls out in the kitchen, a clean litter box that is in my own room because that’s where they know. They go yearly to the vet for check ups and shots. And they are always given love.
“Rosie was awesome. She came for a meet and greet and hung out long enough for the dogs to know her. My one dog even tried to nip her, and it didn’t scare her away! She sent updates daily, and I could tell that she was actually hanging out with them all day, opposed to some sitters I’ve had in the past. She was willing and able to give my older dog medication, and we came home to a bunch of happy animals! Will definitely use her in the future :)”

“Tricia was great. Our dog was well cared for. Tricia was very communicative. She sent photos and kept us updated. She even came the day before to meet Lucy. I would highly recommend her.”

“I cannot believe how well this worked out! I just met Hannah through Rover and she took amazing care of my senior dog. She was professional and very competent. My dog has mobility and other challenges and needs a lot of special care. Hannah handled all of that without any problems. She stayed in touch with me while we were away, which allowed me to enjoy my vacation without worrying. She also obviously gave my dog plenty of affection! I would definitely book Hannah again and I will be recommending her to my friends in the area.”

“Sydney did a great job taking care of our cat while we were gone. She followed all the instructions we left and kept her company at night as well. She sent so many updates and pictures and was so accommodating!”

“Lindsey was a fabulous pet sitter for our two dogs and cat! This was our first time using Rover, and we could not have asked for a better experience! Lindsey was professional, attentive, detail-oriented, and truly treated our pets like they were her own. She spent lots of time with them inside and outside, took them on nice walks, and kept us updated throughout our trip with photos and videos that alleviated our worries. They didn’t seem to miss us at all when we got home! Would recommend Lindsey to anyone looking for someone to care for your pets - she is wonderful! We will certainly be reaching out to her again.”

“Jaime is a wonderful person which made her a good fit for us when leaving our three big dogs behind to take a long weekend trip. Two out of three are senior dogs and the other not even 2yrs yet. That is a mix bag of love to deliver and Jaime S. did it seamlessly. I am highly recommended her if you have needs for any type of animals. She kept in touch with us daily with pictures. She went above and beyond caring for our babies for multiple days. She gave us peace of mind even before our trip even begun during our meet & greet. I can’t say enough about her.You will not be disappointed. She is reliable, honest, mature and thoughtful. We will welcome her back into our home for overnights with our pack again and again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️&⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bruceton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bruceton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bruceton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
