“Guadalupe is fantastic! Our very large pup loved her coming over and checking in on him while we're traveling. And our two very shy/skittish cats actually come out to say hello to her when she drops is. Highly recommend”

“Mylissa was very sweet, patient, and deft with our dog, even when the dog showed signs of aggression. She was very open to working with us on a care plan that works best for everyone, and we are grateful to her.”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Dawn! She took incredible care of our Rottweiler while we were away and truly went above and beyond. Not only did she make sure he was well-fed, exercised, and loved, but also gave us regular updates that put our minds at ease. It was so reassuring knowing our pup was in such good hands. We can’t recommend Dawn enough—reliable, caring, and attentive. We’ll definitely be reaching out again for future stays!”

“Morgan was wonderful from start to finish. We booked a drop-in visit first so Coco could meet her before committing to house sitting, and it turned out to be a perfect match. Coco is the shyest dog in the world and is usually very hesitant around new people. Morgan was incredibly patient and allowed Coco to approach her at her own pace without any pressure. By the end of the visit, Coco was comfortable enough to let Morgan pet her and be close to her, which is something she rarely does with strangers. Morgan is kind, gentle, and clearly understands how to work with nervous dogs. We were so happy to find her and feel very confident leaving Coco in her care. We will definitely be booking house sitting with Morgan and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and patient sitter.”

“I have using Bailey has a day sitter for my two dogs for the last couple months and we are so happy to have her. The boys get a great exercise session three times a week. They are so excited when she walks in the door. She always shows up on time and in constant communication with me. Could not asked for a better sitter.”

About: Animals have been a big part of my life for many years. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, as well as cats, horses, birds, reptiles, and other farm animals. Having owned dogs ranging from 4 to 125 pounds, I’m comfortable with a wide variety of breeds, temperaments, and care needs. I can administer medications to most dogs and am happy to follow detailed instructions for feeding, exercise, and daily routines. I know how important consistency is for pets, and I work hard to care for them exactly as you would. I love taking photos and sending regular updates, so you’ll know your pet is happy, safe, and receiving plenty of attention while you’re away. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care and give you peace of mind. I have recently retired from full-time employment as a teacher. I spend my free time with the animals on my small personal farm and volunteering with Save the Horses Rescue. I prefer to care for pets in their own environments, adhering closely to their regular routines and feeding. Keeping schedules structured minimizes stress for most animals. I understand the importance of a consistent diet, especially when owners are away.
About: I provide reliable, loving care and treat every dog like my own. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, including energetic puppies who need structure and senior dogs who need a calm, gentle approach. I follow routines closely, handle feeding and medications as instructed, and always prioritize safety and comfort. What sets me apart is my patience, attention to detail, and genuine love for animals. I also send regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident your dog is happy and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine since I work from home and have the flexibility and free time to give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m able to stick closely to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and check-ins, while providing supervision, companionship, and care. This allows me to maintain each dog’s normal routine and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for at all times. 🐾 I provide a safe, calm, and clean environment whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. I closely follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, and routines, and I make sure pets are always supervised and secure. I keep doors and gates closed, remove potential hazards, and maintain a comfortable space where pets can relax and feel at ease. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs, move at their pace, and prioritize trust and safety at all times. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident knowing their pet is in a safe, caring environment. 🐾
“Amelia was great! This was the first time using Rover and was very impressed. Amelia came at the last minute and came when she said she would be there. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Miss Brittany is an angel - and we are so lucky to have found her. Our animals are always so cared for, and she really goes above and beyond to make sure they’re fed, pottied, clean, safe, and happy. She is truly amazing.”

About: I've lived with and cared for animals ever since I was old enough to walk and talk, mostly dogs. In recent years I've gained some training experience from having trained my own three dogs, one of which I had for over 18 years. As of now, I am working to fill out my schedule for house visits, walking, potty breaks, and anything you might need for your angels ❤️. Unfortunately, I cannot house any other animal in my home due to space and the pets I already have, but I am more than happy to stay over with your pet! I bring my own suitcase of food and supplies usually follow a feeding/walking schedule set by you, the client. Any additional rules and or stipulations I will be sure to follow with upmost respect!
“I wish I could tip higher but rover won’t let me tip more than 30%. Amber is reliable and a great cat sitter! She’s able to find my shy cat, and makes sure they are fed, have water, litter scooped and well taken care of.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
