Safety, trust & environment
I always make it a priority to ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of your pet, as I know how it feels to be wary of who is providing pet care to your dog or cat. For walks, I have handled dogs as small as a chihuahua to as large as a Leonberger! I've dealt with many reactive, insecure dogs, and know how to handle one who may not feel comfortable or confident in its environment through my experience in pet care and owning dogs over the years. For drop ins, I always make sure to engage with your dog or cat so that they are having an amazing time while you're away. I would love to know about their favorite toys, treats, and games if they have any. I know how skittish some cats can be about new people in their house, so I definitely make sure to respect their space to make them feel at the most ease as possible. I've had and dealt with many many picky eaters (I can let you know some ways I get my own picky Doberman to eat his food consistently), stand-offish, unsure pets, high energy + high drive dogs (these are honestly my favorite! So fun!), and escape artist dogs/cats. I always make sure to take the most safety precautions such as: is their crate properly secured, are the doors latched and locked properly, I look behind me and don't open the door wider than I need to when entering or exiting your home, I know how to ground myself with hard leash pullers (and can maybe give you a few pointers on how to handle this), and I don't like leaving dogs unsupervised outside, even if the yard if properly fenced in.
Information Haylee G. would like to know about your pet
Things I would love to know are: What kind of activities does your dog enjoy? Do they prefer jogs or strolls? How long do you usually walk them for? Should I know about anything else in advance?
A typical day
I can walk dogs within your neighborhood or at a nearby park based on whatever your preferences are! My family lives in Dahlonega, and for an extra cost to cover gas and time, I can take your dogs for a fun, enriching hike in the woods on one of many dog friendly trails up here. I love to provide engaging, fun walks to ensure your dog is having a great time while getting much needed exercise.

Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Haylee! I would absolutely love to help care for your dog or cat and make sure that they're in a safe, fun environment. I have owned and worked with a wide variety of dogs and cats over the years, and have had dogs my whole life, from high energy herding breeds to more laid back (but still active!) chihuahuas. My first word was quite literally my parents' border collie's name, Shayla. It's safe to say that I absolutely love dogs. I've even taught some older dogs some tricks and how to properly walk on a leash, so you can always request that if you have a puppy or dog that needs a little extra help (there will be an extra charge to this however****)! I also love cats like nothing else! While I have not owned one, I've spent quite a bit of time caring for friends' and clients' cats as well. I have also previously worked in a veterinary boarding facility, so I have even more experience with dog/cat (and even one pig) care under my belt through that. I have a pretty flexible schedule, so my weekdays and weekends will be available for a majority of the time, but we can speak further about this while meeting. **** I ALWAYS require a complimentary initial meet and greet for potential new clients in order to ensure that your pets and I will be a good match **** I can absolutely do custom drop ins (1 hr stay, 2 hr stay, etc.), but we will have to discuss pricing

Reviews

Haylee was amazing! She was thorough in all of her check-ins with so many amazing pictures and updates! She was very communicative and went above and beyond with so many walks, brushes and cuddles with our dog and cat. We would rebook!

Haylee is an absolute gem! She is communicative, kind, and punctual! She kept us in the loop while we were out the country and treated our pups with kindness, care, and consideration. We will be definitely using her again in the future!

Haylee helped us over the weekend sitting our 10-year-old Akita, Cece, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was always prompt, on time, and very responsive throughout the entire stay. Cece bonded with her so well, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear Haylee genuinely cares for animals and treats them like her own. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!

Haylee took amazing care of our two big dogs while we were away!! She was so detailed in her updates and sent me confirmation texts each time my dog got his medications. She put us at ease while we were away and kept the house perfect as well! Would highly recommend her to watch after your fur babies!
