James has now helped us out a few times while here for our summer stent in Park City. I am so grateful to have found him! My work takes me to Salt Lake City for long days on occasion so knowing my Frenchies are in good hands is the best! He is great with the dogs and very personable.

We hired Angie to drop in on our kitty, Luna. Angie arrived at the time we’d previously discussed and spent time playing with Luna and took care of her litter box. This was the first time we’ve left Luna behind and it was made easier by knowing Angie would be dropping in to visit.

About: Grew up with dogs and have many years of hands-on experience caring for them in everyday life, including feeding, walking, basic training, and understanding different breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m confident handling both calm and active dogs and adjusting to their individual needs. I now also own two cats, which has given me additional experience with feline behavior, routines, and creating a safe, stress-free environment. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and treat every animal with patience, responsibility, and genuine care. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m available for pet care throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and on short notice when needed. I can’t take pets into my own home because I have two cats, but I’m very happy to stay at the client’s home and provide care there. I make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and keep their normal routine while you’re away.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was born. My mom was a dog breeder so I would help her with the puppies and I just love working with animals they have such sweet kindred spirits. I have currently moved back home to finish school but need a job part time or full time because I do school online. And I can work nights or early mornings I’m my home our pets have been trained to ask to go outside. I would prefer to work at someone’s home just because our house is new and still is missing some fencing

About: I worked as a nanny for over 10 years which included pet care. Anything from daily walks and feeding to overnight extended care. I love the chance to make new furry friends and share my favorite walks. I work remotely so have full flexibility to work when I want and when is best for your furry fmaily members. I find caregiving to be a win win. I make a new friend and have someone to go on walks with and pets get the love and attention they need. The health and safety of your pet is number one for me. I have a large area in my home where animals can relax with sunlight, houseplants, and water. For care in your home, I’m happy to follow whatever protocols you have established. Nothing is too niche, trust me. My childhood dog wouldn't eat his dinner unless I 'sprinkled special flavour powder' (I just mimed grabbing something from the cupboard) over his food. It's important to me that you and your loved one's routine is maintained as much as possible.

Chris took care of my bunny on short notice, which I really appreciate! He was able to come over same day to grab a key/go over Bij’s routine. He was very communicative and left me detailed messages after his visits, I would ask him to watch my pet again!

About: I have always been a lover of animals & have been helping families & house sitting homes for over 20 years. I do have a nursing degree aswell. I have cared for all types of domestic pets as well as farm animals, horses and 3 Neopolitan Mastiffs of my own. Neos are a large breed dog and each of mine weighed 200lbs, I had them since they were pups and for the entirety of their lives. I am always thrilled with the opportunity to travel near & far, meet new families and take good care of adorable animals. It is truly a fun & rewarding experience that I enjoy doing very much. As a writer most of my work is done right from home and I also have a gift product design company which I also dabble with from home. If I have a local house/pet sit in Utah, I may be called out for a quick local job but it isn’t usually more than 3 -4 hours. Park City, Utah has been home for me for 22 years. I have been helping families with a variety of needs for many years. From children, to pets to elderly parents, house sitting, counseling, organizing, etc. I take great pride in keeping a clean home, I do not smoke and for the most part i work from home as a writer. All that I do is done with the upmost love and attention. I am mature, very experienced, confident, respectful, energetic, dependable, peaceful & kind. Feel free to call or text me directly.

About: I work full time remote at home with my two pups, one terrier mix and a lab. I love any extra time with pets I can get! I can easily do walks, drops ins, doggie day care, or boarding with my current position. I use Rover for my pups often so I want to be there to offer the same loving and attentive care my pups get. My family has collectively had 11 dogs over the years, 4 cats, and some rehabilitative wild animals. I am trustworthy, timely, loving, and attentive to any and all pets! Since I work full time remote I have a very flexible schedule so I can come give some love to your pets likely any time during the day. My home is a little small for a third pup so I can happily take care of pets in your home or board your pet with me at my parents fenced ranch in Kamas. I promise I am safe, trustworthy, and reliable since I expect the same from the Rover walkers and sitters who watch my pets.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was around 15 years old. I personally do not have one but I love spending time with my family and friends dogs. They give me so much joy and happiness. I have experience watching dogs at my house or my family/ friends house. Love to go on walk and adventures but also staying in and having a movie night cuddled up with the pup on the couch. I am currently working a part time job, so I have a lot of free time to have a play date with your pup :) I have a biiig fenced in back yard. Great for playing fetch, running around or just simply hanging out and enjoying the weather ! I do not have a personal dog so there is no worry. I make sure the dog always has their water bowl filled and like to take the dog either outside or for a walk every few hours

About: I will hike, mountain bike, trail run, paddle board or just walk with your dog to let them let loose of all their energy. Whatever your dog needs, I got it! My schedule is completely free! Currently in Physical Therapy school, but I have online classes the rest of summer! Whenever you need dog care, it works for me! I treat your pets/home as my own. I leave places better than what I found them. I currently cannot take your pets in my home due to living in an apartment.

About: I’ve been involved with various animal rescue organizations for more than 30 years and have extensive experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, needs, and medical conditions. I’ve fostered many animals over the years and have helped with adoptions, medical visits, home visits, shelter assessments, and fundraising and community events. I’ve also personally rescued and cared for animals with health issues and have extensive experience with dogs who may need extra patience, understanding, or specialized care. I’m very active and love having dogs join me in the fun. I hike, bike, ski, and paddleboard, and I’m always happy to have a furry companion along for an adventure. Of course, I’m equally happy spending a quiet day at home with a dog curled up on the couch getting plenty of love and extra snuggles. My two senior dogs recently passed away, and I truly miss having dogs in my home. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, and I would love the opportunity to give your dog the same attention, affection, and care I’ve given my own. I have a very flexible schedule that will allow me to accommodate your pet's needs. I like to adhere to a schedule your pet is accustomed to. My pets were all indoor dogs, well taken care of, and slightly spoiled. They had regular feeding, exercise, and medication schedules. I will adhere to your pet's regular schedule as much as possible.

About: I grew up with dogs of different breeds my whole life (both rescues and from breeders) and love them like their my own. I have a calm, attentive approach and understanding of a pet's needs. Whether I’m helping to train a high-energy puppy or caring for a senior dog who needs extra patience and gentle handling, I tailor my care to each pet’s unique needs. I have hands-on experience with leash training, crate training, and reinforcing basic commands. I’m also comfortable administering medications and working with shy or nervous animals. My goal is always to create a safe, fun, loving environment that helps pets feel secure and happy while their owners are away. Leaving your pet in someone else's care is about trust, routine, and connection. Your pet will be well taken care of, with emphasis put on ample time outdoors! My schedule currently allows for walks in the morning and evenings; in addition, I am available to pet sit overnight Friday-Sunday. If you're in need of additional/extra care/overnights, I am happy to chat about what you need and what works best for us both! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment that mirrors your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. In your home, I respect your space and follow your instructions carefully—from feeding schedules and walk times to preferred toys and house rules. I make sure your pet feels secure by keeping things familiar, offering plenty of affection, and sending regular updates so you know how they’re doing while you’re away. In my home, I can offer a cozy, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to play, nap, and relax. I keep a consistent schedule for meals, walks, and bathroom breaks, and I’m happy to accommodate special needs like medication, crate training, or extra cuddle time. Safety is always my top priority, and I only accept pets that are a good match for my home setup.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 1,967 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Brighton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brighton. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
