About: I always considered myself a "cat person," but when I was 15, my dad adopted a mini Australian Shepherd named Oscar. He was a smart, loving, albeit anxious pup, and I wanted to be with him all the time. Whenever I visited my dad, I loved helping him train and play with Oscar. That was when I really understood dogs as companion animals, and that concept alone helped me become a more patient person. When I was attending college in Rhode Island, I started caring for my friends' pets in their homes whenever they went away for a family trip. It was an awesome time for me to reset and hang out with their cats or dogs since I was unable to have a pet of my own where I was living at the time. During the Covid lockdown until around 2022, I became a live-in pet sitter for my landlady's dog and cats whenever she needed to go between properties. After that, I helped take care of my then roommate's 12-year-old Chocolate Lab and her new Visla-mix puppy after I got home from work in the evenings since she worked late. After years of caring for cats and dogs at home and loving to see my friends' pets whenever we hung out, I only learned about using Rover as a service tool in 2023. Working from home gives me flexibility and the opportunity to stay in my clients' homes while taking care of and supporting their pets full-time. My current schedule is very flexible. I'm a freelance and contract artist, and recently I've been working with the local arts council here in New Bern by hosting drawing sessions every two weeks. Most of my time is spent at home—where I help my grandparents—or at the arts council. To tell you a little more about me: I’m in my late 30s, I'm neurodivergent, and I identify as queer. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, watching animated films, and reading various types of comics. My foremost concern is making sure that you and your pet(s) feel safe with me there and that I am as consistent with their typical routine. In order for me to provide the best care I can, I only ask for a simple task list or feeding plan (either printed out or sent electronically, such as a PDF or Apple Note, etc.) on how to care for your pet and WiFi access. I do my best to be as transparent as possible in an easy, concise, and straight-forward way. Otherwise, I will happily try to accommodate any need for extra communication or photos to send you while you are away. That being said, please make note of the following: - Please do not underreport your pets. - If there is a pet that is not technically owned by you but still resides on your property, it is assumed during the booking process that you are the caretaker of that pet, as I will be responsible for taking care of that pet unless there have been other outside accommodations made. I maintain the right to adjust my rates accordingly. - If there is sufficient evidence for me to believe that any animal within your household and/or property is in need of any care beyond a bare minimum of "feeding and providing water"—especially any pets that have not been properly listed in your bio—I maintain the right to adjust my rates accordingly after our initial meet & greet. - Please divulge any and all indoor and outdoor monitoring systems in which you frequently access remotely. It is your fundamental obligation as the "homeowner," "client," or otherwise, to report any and all monitoring devices inside and outside of your home as well as the frequency with which you will access them remotely. By hiring me as an independent contractor, I maintain my right to object to any remote monitoring by any recording device used in your home while you are not present. - If you have ANY questions or concerns further about using monitoring devices, etc., I am more than happy to discuss them with you during our meet & greet!

About: I have been around all types of animals my whole life, especially dogs. I have house sitting experience and I have taken care of other people's animals previously just to help out. I’ve owned rats, and I’m no stranger to scaly friends if you have those as well. I have my own dog who is my best friend! My schedule is completely open right now because I do side gigs as needed. I’m hoping to eventually make this a long term full time gig! I love all animals and pet care is one of my passions. Any animal of yours I will treat like my own! I do not want you to have worry when you are away.

About: Lifetime pet owner and pet sitter for friends and family. I have trained puppies and have experience with senior dogs too. Dogs like me and we get along quickly. Overall I enjoy pets I have a flexible schedule and have a daily routine with our dog and kitty. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since as long as I can remember! I’ve helped train puppies and large dogs. I was a foster to many different types of dogs for two years! I will go the extra mile to care for your animal by playing with them to get them mentally and physically exercised. I love all animals! I am a teacher so I have my summers off! I am available on weekdays and weekends as long as I get a days heads up. I can travel to your house to let the dog out or feed your cat. I have a fenced in yard and no animals or kids. When going to your place, I can bring my own leash and toys if needed. I have my own mode of transportation so traveling back and forth will not be a problem.

About: I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from Great Danes to Miniature Pinschers. As a Husky owner, I’m also familiar with more challenging, high-energy, and stubborn breeds.I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs, including those who are visually impaired or have medical conditions. I’ve worked with diabetic dogs and understand the importance of maintaining a strict schedule, as well as safely administering medication, including injections. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a very flexible schedule. I’m available on weekdays from 8am to 2pm, and again anytime after 4pm. On weekends, I have full availability and can accommodate care at any time. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities, and I strive to provide attentive, reliable, and compassionate care tailored to each pet’s individual needs.

As an adult, I have continued to care for my own pets, including many cats and a rabbit, giving me experience with different animals, personalities, routines, and care requirements. I also spend time playing with them and providing enrichment to keep them happy and engaged. If caring for someone else’s pet in my home, I would follow the owner’s instructions carefully and maintain the pet’s normal feeding, bathroom, exercise, medication, and sleeping routines as much as possible. I would provide a calm, safe space where the pet can feel comfortable and would give them plenty of individual attention. I would also take into consideration their personality and comfort level, especially if they are nervous or adjusting to a new environment. Because I have cats, I would also make sure any visiting pet is safely separated when necessary and that introductions are handled appropriately. My priority would always be the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet in my care.

About: I will love your dog as if it were my own. I have 2 springer spaniels that love to play. I can give special care for a dog that needs meds or has a special diet. I have had fur babies in the past that require special attention. I work a full time job out of my home so taking in dogs during the week is super easy as I’m home all day everyday. We have underground fencing otherwise your dog will go on a tie out. We have 2 entrances that can accommodate. I can also take crate trained dogs. If you don’t want to bring your kennel we have one to use as well.

About: My name is Star I love animals one day I want to be a vet. I love taking care of animals it has always been my thing to do. Animals are just like people they need to be loved and taking good care of. I volunteered at animal shelters and animal hospitals since I was 10 years old. I work with professional veterinarian I help do surgery and give dogs they shots and medication they needed. I sometimes watch my neighborhood dogs for free because I just love helping out and playing with their animals. I'm also a dog owner I have a pitbull. I had too pitbulls but my female died 2 years ago because animal shelter shot her for trying to protect her puppies.
