About: I am a new grad physician assistant currently awaiting credentialing for my new job in pediatrics and spending my time off walking dogs! I am a huge dog lover and a very active person. I used to dog and cat sit as a side hustle prior to PA school and now that I have some free time I would love to walk dogs in the community until I start a new medical career in June. I always had dogs growing up and have background caring for many pets in cville as well as a medical background. I currently have a very flexible schedule and I am around to walk dogs most days. Im not yet back to working in medicine so I am home most days Happy to walk dogs any distance/amount of time/ route. Also happy to jog with dogs if clients prefer and if the dog is used to jogging (I am a runner). Also willing to take dogs to client preferred parks or trails.

About: Dogs are treated like family and ,quite honestly, like sweet babies in my household. My roommate and I both have animal experience and adore fury friends. I do have my own 42lb dog as well, so I am only accepting dogs that can be social but I love to give them the dog park, swim in a lake, go hiking kind of experience if permitted. I work remotely, so I have the time to spend with animals during the day. Especially midday long walks. Any animal in my care will be well looked after. I care for all animals like they are my own which means they get spoken to like they’re human and loved like they are human. My house is their house and when going into someone else’s home I am there for one purpose and respect that appropriately.

About: I’ve loved animals since before I could walk and I’ve spent a lifetime caring for them. Having worked for the CASPCA I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about what it means for our pets to truly thrive and what they need to lead happy healthy lives. Our family treats your pet like they’re our own and make him/her feel right at home. They will spend their days with tons of enrichment activities; daily walks, tons of play time and endless snuggles if they’ll let me and so much more. I can adjust our schedule to fit your pets needs so they feel right at home and stay on routine. We have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for your furry friend to play and two active pups who love a play date with friends. All interactions with your pets and ours will be closely monitored to ensure everyone’s safety. I will get information from you about your preferences and schedule for your pet so I can mirror that while they are staying in our home. I am also a former Petshotel and Doggie Day Camp Manager for a national chain and have extensive experience handling dogs, cats, and small pets of all sizes and breeds. I am currently accepting small and medium sized dogs for in house day care and overnight stays. I specialize in small and delicate breed types, not usually suited for kenneling or vet boarding. All fur babies will be treated as family members while here! They can sit on the couch, sleep on the bed, and watch TV with us just like at home. Some larger "gentle giants" can be considered on a case by case basis, just reach out. I believe pets are family! All pets in my care are treated with loving and gentle guidance using only positive reinforcement. All dogs will remain on leash the entirety of their walk. We have a fenced in area off the back patio for bathroom breaks with wood chips as ground coverage. No grass of any kind for the safety of those pets with grass and skin allergies.

We set up a meet and greet during which my pup, Maizy displayed some anxiety, but Tina was not deterred. She knew Maizy needed to warm up at her pace and she got some treats right away to help build up some trust! She sent pictures and really helped me feel at ease that Maizy was well cared for! There was even a storm that rolled by which Maizy is terrified of thunder and Tina helped her feel safe! I would definitely book with her again should we need it!”

I have experience with all shapes, sizes and breeds, however, as much as I love them, I cannot handle bigger and stronger breeds; i.e., American bull dogs, pit bulls, great danes and German shepherds to name a few. Your dogs are my daily priority. I can schedule any time daily and I am open to a long-term boarding commitment when I am available. “I worked with Tam at the SPCA. She had so many great qualities. Showed up to work on time, always volunteered for extra events, and took the best care of the animals. Her goal was to make their lives better and she did everything in her power to make it happen. At the SPCA we qualify dogs in multiple levels from low to high risk. Almost no one in the building would assist high risk animals but Tamara did. Somehow she managed to find the good in them. One moment we had dogs who couldn't leave their cage because of their threat, next she was walking them and I've never seen a happier dog. It was baffling but very impressive. She is one of those "dog whisperers" you hear about. She knows what to do, how to do it and when to do it.”
