“Lovingly cared for my Bella when we took a quick trip to visit our new grandbaby… There were Daley photos sent, I love the fact that she only takes one dog at a time so your dog gets all their attention”
“Thanks to Kelsey and her husband for watching our dog on somewhat short notice. First time use of the Rover app and felt completely comfortable with a multiple day boarding with them. I could tell by the texts and pictures we received that she was well taken care of and got plenty of attention and exercise while in their care. Would definitely book with Kelsey again!”
“Mike was very welcoming and it was obvious our pups loved the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of Mike’s house and his demeanor. I highly recommend Mike to watch your dog(s).”
“Angela was once again fantastic with Abel! I received multiple updates and photos throughout his stay. She followed his medication schedule and her and Jack made accommodations for his mobility with the stairs. I can’t recommend Angela enough!”
“I had Ron watch my 2 small dogs. My one dog is very scared and doesn’t like to go for walks. He has a fenced in backyard that was perfect for my dogs. He was also very calm with my dogs which helped my scared dog feel comfortable. He is flexible with times and communicates timely. He had a big dog bed and some toys and treats in his home.”
“Takia to the rescue, i didn’t want to leave my Dog home for the Christmas Holiday and found out that she was available. I was so happy that my furbaby was able to stay with her where he receives lots of love. I always appreciate her services 💙”
About: Hi! I’m Danielle, and I’ve always loved dogs and their fun, energetic personalities. I grew up with a yellow Lab who was part of my family for 15 years, and I regularly help care for my sister’s and friends’ dogs. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy being active with dogs. I’d love to give your pup plenty of exercise, playtime, attention, and love while you’re away! I am a full time teacher but available in the evenings after 4pm. I am available most weekends as well! I am an early riser and enjoy spending as much time outside as possible. I have a fenced yard and small sun porch. I do not have any other animals in the home so I am able to be very attentive and accommodating to your pets various needs! I live near a small public park and am walking distance to Edgewater Park. I also am more than happy to take your dog on hikes and have a vehicle that is pet-safe.
“There’s not enough superlatives to describe the job done by Tove and Gerald. From our first discussion to final pickup, they were attentive to our wishes and some of the special needs of our dogs. On top of just ensuring regular needs were met, they took our dogs on walks, taught them to use a doggy door, and provided us with photos/videos of the dogs while we were out of the country in order to provide us piece of mind. We cannot recommend Tove and Gerald enough!”
“I had such a great experience with Dejuan! He made me feel comfortable from the beginning by allowing me to come over for a meet-and-greet before Kane’s stay. Throughout his time with Kane, he consistently sent pictures, videos, and updates without me even having to ask. I really appreciated his communication and attention to detail. Kane came home happy and well taken care of, which means everything to me! I would absolutely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their fur baby!”
“Julie is fantastic! She is an animal lover inside and out. She has such a great space for dogs and she handles our high energy Australian shepherd extremely well.”
“At first communication, I felt so comfortable that Jeffany would take great care of our pups and that she did! We received updates and pictures that put us at ease. If we're ever in the area again we will be sure to contact Jeffany to care for our pups.”
“Kimberly was great with my dog. I got updates daily with pictures. I can tell when my dog is stressed, and she didn’t appear stressed at all. All my instructions were followed, and medications given. I will use Kimberly again!”
“Leonard and his family were wonderful, they sent pictures multiple times a day and treated my pup as if he were their own! Thank you so much!!!! Will book with again.”
“Michael and his wife were the absolute best, they provided photo updates throughout the day so I knew how my boys were doing. If I could give my experience with them 10 stars I would. They treated my boys like they were their own. I have found my permanent pet sitter”
“I love Susan and Kenny. They are so good with my girl Mona. Mona is a rescue and hates to be away from her person. Susan and Kenny have become her new persons after only two stays. They treat Mona like I treat Mona. I'm so happy to have found them.”
“Best sitter experience ever! We left with some stress but it went away really fast with the first pictures of our dogs. They were all happy and playing, getting along with everyone, including our very unfriendly Chihuahua, I don’t know how but he warmed up to everyone and we got the cutest updates. We will rebook again next time services is needed! Recommended 1000%”
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bratenahl
They are extremely good sitters. I was apprehensive about leaving Lily and she was too but they soon put me at ease with pictures and text updates. I was able to relax when on vacation because I could see she was actually enjoying her stay. They new how to accommodate an older dog.
We are so glad to have found Jessa to watch our pups while we went on our trip! It was easy to locate her property, and we loved that there was plenty of space for the dogs to run around - and far enough from any roads to be extra safe. She was friendly, flexible, helpful, and sent us updates & pics, including ones of our dogs cuddling on the couch with her kids 🥹♥️ Only things I would do differently next time would be to ask her for daily pics - there was one day we didn’t get any so the next day I did text and ask for some (not the end of the world, we were occupied on our trip), and to make sure to keep their training collars charged as they were both dead upon pickup (she did charge their trackers). Excellent care overall & our dogs clearly had a great time!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Bratenahl home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Bratenahl.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Bratenahl sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
