“Maya was great with our 2 dogs. She was reliable and on time for every visit. We were away for a long weekend and were very busy. Her check ins and pictures of the dogs she sent showed me they were good and well taken care of. I would highly recommend her and I will definitely ask her again.”

“Leigh was great and so flexible with my last minutes needs! Every detail was followed and Duch was well taken care of! I definitely recommend Leigh and will be rebooking in the future!!”

“Cassandra was so sweet and patient with our girl! The kitty was feeling really shy but Cassandra was really gentle and understanding with her and put our mind at ease when we had to leave town for a few days on short notice. Would definitely book again!!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Elizabeth! Came two days in a row with only a one-day notice. She came right on time and took great care of Bogey both days. Communication was great, she sent cute pictures/updates, and it was clear our pup was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I will definitely book with her again!”

“Megan was wonderful! She gave my super senior boy extra attention and helped him deal with his first alone time since losing his companion of 16 years. Will definitely be rebooking with her!”

“Cara is the best! She takes care of Gambit as if he is her own dog. He looks forward to seeing her, going on walks and playing. I don’t think I’d ever find anyone as great as Cara! I consider her part of the Gambit family”

“Colleen always goes above and beyond! Blu had an absolute blast hanging out, going on adventure walks, playing tug a war, and watching all her favorite shows!”

“Amanda is dependable, kindly, and professional. She does a great job, taking care of my cats when I’m out of town. I highly recommend her. By far she’s the best cat sitter I’ve ever had.”

“Matthew provided excellent care for our two cats. He posted daily photos, which I greatly looked forward to each day while on vacation. He has excellent communication skills, and I know my cats will miss him! I would definitely recommend his services to any other cat owner that is looking for a cat sitter!”

“Jeannette was fantastic! She took excellent care of our 2 fur-babies! Throughout her drop-ins, she sent photos and messages, giving us peace of mind. It was clear that Jeannette genuinely cares & made sure our kitties were happy, comfortable & well cared for. We will be booking Jeannette again & highly recommend her to take care of your pet .”

“Patti is an absolute godsend for us. She goes above and beyond to make our cat Arthur feel loved and cared for while we’re away which gives us a level of peace of mind I can’t even explain. I genuinely trust Patti so much with our fur baby and plan to use her again and again!”

About: I understand how important it is to keep your pets comfortable, safe, and happy while you're away. I am a pediatric nurse as well, and would like to provide walks, drop-ins, feeding, and medication administration while you are away. I have volunteered at a golden retriever rescue in Lancaster, and have experience with large dogs. I treat every pet like they're my own and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind. I volunteer at my local SPCA as soon as I turned 14, and have had labs and golden retrievers in my adult life. I currently take my black lab to the dog park, hikes, car rides, and know how important it is to give them attention when their family is away. I also am a very confident walker with large dogs or dogs that pull on the leash. I am a pediatric nurse at an hospital, and work 3 days a week. I have one daughter who is now a teenager, and I am finding myself with more spare time. I would like to care for animals on my downtime during the week/weekends. I live in a large walkable neighborhood with sidewalks. I do have a black dog that has been going to dog parks since he was a puppy, and he enjoys other dogs. I will absolutely allow your dog to sleep in my bed, and will give them constant attention. My house backs up to the woods, and I would love to take them for walks out there as well.

“Marissa is exceptional she took our 7 day appointment last minute and was very understanding and communicative. We were very skeptical at first using a service one to watch our puppy and two having someone coming in our home while we weren’t there. Marissa communicated every day as well as sent pictures. She definitely went over and beyond with our puppy “Buddy”, She bathed him, took care of his play pen area as we would. Im very thankful for Marissa and clearly Buddy enjoyed her as well.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Brandywine
Catherine was incredible with my cats! She was prompt and thorough with our drop in visits. My two cats were well taken care of, oral medication were administered on time, and most importantly she was great at reading their body language and giving them exactly the attention they needed! I definitely recommend Catherine!

Rhiannon took excellent care of our cat while we were out of town. She made sure to spend time playing with our cat and gave him treats and attention, and even went out of her way to clean after he threw up. Rhiannon also sent many wonderful photos from each check-in visit which helped put our minds at ease. I would highly recommend her for any pet-sitting needs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brandywine. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
