About Brittany G.

Safety, trust & environment
When it comes to caring for cats—whether in my home or a client’s—I focus on creating a calm, safe, and comforting environment that respects their unique personalities and routines. I know cats can be independent, sensitive, and sometimes a little mysterious, so I take the time to let them come to me at their own pace. In their own home, I stick closely to their usual feeding schedule, litter box routine, and favorite hangout spots. I pay attention to the little things—like which toy they love most or if they prefer chin scratches over belly rubs. I keep everything low-stress and predictable, which cats really appreciate. If I’m caring for a cat in my home, I make sure there’s a quiet space they can retreat to and feel secure in. I provide enrichment like scratching posts, cozy beds, window perches, and interactive playtime to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. Cleanliness is a top priority—especially when it comes to litter boxes and food dishes. Above all, I give them love on their terms—whether that’s a cuddle on the couch, a gentle brush, or just quietly being in the same room while they nap. It’s all about trust, patience, and making sure they feel completely at ease.

A typical day
When I’m spending time with a cat, I make sure our time together is more than just food and litter duty—it’s about fun, engagement, and a little feline joy! For the playful types, I bring out all the hits: feather wands for epic pouncing sessions, laser pointers for zoomies, and crinkle toys or treat puzzles to keep their minds sharp and curious. I love finding what makes each cat light up—some go wild for string toys, others for a cardboard box or even a good ol' paper bag. For the more mellow or senior cats, we’ll enjoy calm companionship—gentle brushing, window watching, or soft pets while they curl up on their favorite spot. Some cats just want a cozy lap and some quiet time, and I’m always happy to provide that too. I also like to introduce low-stress enrichment, like rotating toys, playing calming music, or offering catnip (with your okay, of course!). Every visit is a chance to make them feel happy, entertained, and loved.Because even the most independent cats deserve a little fun in their day.

Pet care experience
What sets me apart from other cat sitters is my intuitive, respectful approach to feline care. I don’t just "check in"—I really tune in to each cat’s individual personality, energy, and comfort level. Whether your cat is shy and reserved or playful and talkative, I adjust my approach to meet them where they are and build trust naturally. I’m especially attentive to the small signs cats give—those subtle tail flicks, ear twitches, or quiet meows that can say so much. I’m patient, calm, and never pushy, which helps even the most cautious kitties feel safe and seen. I’m also experienced with a variety of cat care needs—from maintaining a spotless litter box to giving medications, brushing long coats, and helping older cats with gentle mobility support. I stay in close communication with you, sending updates that show your cat is not just cared for, but genuinely happy and comfortable. Cats aren’t just pets to me—they’re complex, beautiful little souls, and I feel honored every time I’m trusted to care for one. 🐾💛

Reviews
Brittany took very good care of our cats. She communicated well and I highly recommend. Our one shy cat even came out to hang out with her.

Brittany was very kind, efficient, end communicative. Much appreciated.
Brittany has more than 20 years experience. Abby and Bella were the pets at home but when she moved Milo,Harley and now Ollie were adopted. She also helps with caring for feral cats. Her passion for animals and children has always been her life long goal. She is very responsible and a caring person who is a Special Education teacher along with being a Reading Specialist. We are very proud of all her accomplishments.
I have the privilege of knowing Brittany through her volunteer work with our colony cats. She is a very responsible person that makes sure every aspect of caregiving is accomplished. Brittany would be a wonderful addition to Rover and can be entrusted for good care of your cats, dogs or any companion animals!
