“Hannah was a life saver - she made what could have been a very stressful day the exact opposite. She dropped in twice to keep my dogs company while I spent the day at the office. She sent updates so I knew they were happy and taken care of. I know I won’t need to worry the next time I need to leave them alone for a day. This was my first time trying Rover, and I’ll definitely be using it again!”

“Karen was great! We had a trip planned and Whiskey had been sick since November. Thought he would get better but still had a lingeri g cough. We had another sitter lined up who had their own dog and we didn't want that dog to get sick too. I found Karen last minute to come to our home and take care of Whiskey with dropins. She did such a great job and kept us informed on his coughing. Thank you so much!”

About: Grew up dog sitting many different breeds and ages. Had a beagle myself growing up. While in the military and overseas I got my German shepherd. I fostered a pitt, Frenchie, and a mastiff overseas as well. Very comfortable providing care needed and medication. I am in school full time online, this provides me with a lot of free time that will allow me to provide extra care for your animals. I live in a great area where I can walk and care for different animals. Your animals will feel very safe with me caring for them.

Instead of turning the assignment down she helped come to a solution were both her and the dogs were comfortable with the feedings. The price was reasonable and I hope she will accept future accept future requests. Thank you Jamief”

About: I have grown up with a variety of dogs in my home. I would give them love, clean up after them, feed them and of course play with them. I had dogs of all sizes and personality types, (mostly mutts). I work full time but have my summer off. I would be available any time any day! I can get up early or satay late!! Come August I will be teaching full time again. I would care for the animals I service in their own home environment. This is where the pet feels the most safe and comfortable. To me that is important.
“Charlotte is very knowledgeable and reliable. She took good care of my cats while we were out of town. I will book her again and highly recommend Charlotte for pet sitting services.”

“Charlotte is fantastic! Her daily updates were detailed, she sent us so many great pics and she thought of the small things. Our cats laser toy needed to be charged she not only noticed and took the initiative to charge it, but then remembered the next day to turn it on so they could play with it. She gave us peace of mind while on vacation that our cats were well taken care of!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
