“Olivia was fantastic! So grateful she was available last minute when I had car troubles coming home from a trip. She was communicative and followed all instructions. Would definitely have her back!”

“Adia took extra special care of our pups as an in-home sitter for a week long vacation and kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our pets were happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. Communication was prompt and friendly, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

“Nolvia was great with my babies. It’s always so hard finding someone you feel comfortable with. Nolvia made it an easy choice with how responsive, willing and accommodating she was for our babies. She went way beyond what we expected. Would 100% recommend Nolvia and will definitely use her again.”

“Megan was great to work with! She took great care of our boys while we were out of town, was communicative with updates and pics. She even washed the bedding from the guest room before she left. Thanks so much!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and they’ve always been my favorite kind of company. I’m patient and keep things calm and low-key. I usually watch just one dog at a time, so you can rest assured that I will treat your dog as if they were my own. Since I work remotely, your dog won’t be left alone much and will get attention throughout the day. I make sure to follow whatever routine helps your dog feel most comfortable. Happy to send you photos and updates throughout the day as well. I’m flexible with pickup and drop off times. I will be with your pup all day, and they’ll get plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s routine. If they’re a high energy dog, they’ll get long walks. If they’re a senior or low energy, I’ll take them on shorter walks or just let them sniff in the yard.
About: Hi! I’ve spent the last 11 years as a Paramedic and, while I love helping people…I love helping animals too! I’m a lifelong animal lover with a deep passion for caring for pets of all kinds. Ever since I was a child, animals have been a central part of my life. My family often took in dogs and cats in need, and I even bottle-fed orphaned puppies and kittens many times, helping them grow strong and healthy. Those early experiences shaped my calm, patient, and nurturing approach to animal care. Being a Paramedic has taught me how to remain calm under pressure. Also, that no one person is the same and will respond the same. Every person is unique. I believe animals are the exact same way! I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and understood—especially while their family is away. Whether your pet(s) are energetic and playful, shy and reserved, or somewhere in between, I take the time to understand their unique personality and adjust my care to meet their needs. From walks and playtime to quiet companionship and cuddles, I’m here to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I’m dependable, attentive, and highly communicative. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a beloved family member, so I always prioritize reliability, punctuality, and clear updates. I’m happy to send photos/videos, and messages so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away. We can even FaceTime! Although I’m currently unable to have pets of my own where I live, that has only deepened my appreciation for every opportunity I get to spend time with animals. Caring for pets is something I truly love, and I treat every one as if they were my own. I would be honored to care for your pet and provide the same love, attention, and respect I would want for my own. 🐶😽 What I Offer: - Dog & cat walking (structured or relaxed walks based on your pet’s needs) - Drop-in visits for feeding, playtime, and companionship - Pet sitting with attentive, in-home care - Care for dogs & cats of all temperaments 💛 My Care Style: - Patient and gentle approach for all personalities - Focus on safety, comfort, and routine - Calm presence for anxious or shy pets - Active engagement for energetic pets - Always respectful of your home and instructions 📸 Communication Promise You’ll always receive: - Regular photo updates - Clear check-ins after visits - Fast responses to messages - Honest communication about your pet’s well-being 🌟 Why Pet Parents Choose Me: I don’t just “watch” pets—I genuinely care for them. My goal is to make your time away stress-free by ensuring your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for at all times. That way, you can feel stress-free too! I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet(s) and become someone you can trust whenever you need reliable, loving care! **IMPORTANT** I provide services for these cities at this time: Marrero, Harvey, Gretna, Westwego, Bridge City, Avondale, Algiers, Belle Chasse, Harahan, River Ridge, Metairie, Kenner, Jefferson, & New Orleans (except for zip codes 70126, 70127, 70128, 70129). I provide pet care full time, which allows me to offer a flexible schedule and accommodate a variety of booking needs. I’m available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible—including last-minute bookings when my availability allows. At this time, I’m unable to offer boarding in my home. However, I’m happy to provide house sitting in your home, where your pet(s) can remain comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I understand that many pets feel most secure in their own space, and I’m committed to providing attentive, reliable care while also treating your home with the utmost respect. My goal is to keep your pet(s) happy, comfortable, and well cared for until you return. Your pets safety, comfort, and well-being are always my highest priorities. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away with confidence, knowing your pet(s) are safe, loved, and receiving dependable, compassionate care every single day & with every visit.
“Grady is simply the best! Our dogs love him and he gives them so much love, walking and fun while we are gone, I’d be surprised if they were happy we are home. He made our trip a lot less stressful by knowing he was taking such good care of them.”

“Lily did a wonderful job with my senior, partially deaf, dog, and guinea pig. My dog can be challenging as he can be a bit standoffish, but she got him to warm up. Also, he only gets pain medication when necessary, so it was up to her observation and judgment. My guinea pig requires daily cage cleaning and feeding, in addition to handling my dog's needs.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, so I’m very familiar with all the ups and downs that come with pet care. She took such great care of our Ruby, 100% will ask her to stay and see watch Ruby again. If you want someone who is very reliable, thorough, caring and devoted to your pet, book with Jennifer!”

“Chloe was a great sitter for our dog and two cats. She was very communicative and sent a lot of photos which helped us feel at ease while we were away. Our dog barks a lot when he meets people but she seemed totally unfazed and he warmed up to her quickly. We would definitely book with her again!”

“Jessica was great! She was willing to come to our hotel suite to sit with our puppy Sedona while we attended a wedding. She even brought her small dog as a playmate for Sedona. She sent text updates and pictures throughout her stay. This was our first time using Rover and we are beyond pleased with our experience. About: I have a calm demeanor that appeals to all sorts of animal personalities. In the past i’ve volunteered with Zues' Rescue and I’m generally the go to pet care friend :) I’m a school counselor, so during the school year I am available after school and on weekends. During the summer, I am available 24/7. I can make exceptions if I am on PTO, holidays, etc. I make sure to observe an animals natural routine. Where they like their toys to be, their food dishes, etc. I am especially understanding of animals who may have experienced trauma and have triggers; I make sure to meet them at their level when I approach, speak quietly, etc.
“William was terrific. He was very flexible with our times as they changed with family visiting. He was very good with our two retrievers - fed them, walked them and kept an eye on our crazy pup, who gets into everything and tears up our yard when not supervised. I would trust William to house sit our dogs again in an instant. I highly recommend him.”

Macie was fantastic with our stubborn, sassy girl. It’s obvious that Macie just has something special that makes animals feel comfortable. I knew instantly I wouldn’t have to worry about our dog while we were away. She also left the house cleaner than when we left. 100% recommend.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Boutte walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Boutte maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Boutte choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Boutte. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
