About: My family and I have fostered and adopted injured/disabled dogs in the past so I understand what it takes to care for special need animals. I also have a senior dog and so I know the steps needed to care for an older dog(s)! I do not work and therefore have a lot of time to take care of your pet(s)! I have the time to play, walk, and do whatever you deem necessary for your pet’s health and wellbeing! When pet sitting, your furry companion will get so much love and attention, and they will get as much play time as desired and as many walks necessary! They will be fed appropriately and given medication if necessary! All rules will be followed and your house will be well respected.
“I can’t thank Claire enough for the wonderful care she provided for my cat! She was incredibly reliable, always keeping in touch with us throughout the week. Claire went above and beyond by sending several photos with each visit, which really put my mind at ease. It’s clear that she genuinely cares for animals and took great care of my kitty. Highly recommend her services!”

“Was able to come by at the last minute to help let my dog out when I had to attend a series of all-day events in town. Immediately responsive and so sweet to my little River!”

“Mimi was truly the most amazing Rover and gave us so much peace of mind while we were traveling! She took great care of our pup and left amazing notes so we were kept in the loop!”

About: I’ve spent my whole life taking care of my dogs. Throughout college I had many roommates with cats and grew a love for them as well. Growing up I used to make treats for animal shelters and had a dream of being a vet. Since I’ve realized how much of a dedication vet school is, this seems like a fun way to incorporate my love for animals into something part time. :) I love cardio and am always down for a morning, afternoon, and even night runs. I love to go to scenic spots and enjoy being outside. I am in between jobs right now, so I have open availability for any pet needs! I have a fenced in yard and one 14 year old West Highland Terrier. She is extremely spoiled, but loves new friends. We love to play fetch and play in the yard. The extra baths are worth our fun times outside together lol.

About: Hi! We’re Seth and Farrah, the team behind 504Doghouse. We’ve both grown up around animals our entire lives, and together we bring a wide range of hands-on experience with dogs, cats, and even farm animals. We love what we do and treat every pet like family. ⸻ Our Pet Care Experience From Seth: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember, but my lifelong dog Phoebe — a miniature schnauzer — taught me what it really means to care for a pet from childhood through adulthood. Later, I fostered a high-energy Lab/Pit mix named Bella, who showed me how different breeds have different needs, personalities, and training styles. After serving in the military, I rescued my dog Deku, a border collie–schnauzer mix who learned full obedience and trick training within months. I’ve also helped raise my brother’s Catahoula/Blue Heeler mix, Snoop — another high-energy, intelligent dog who taught me how to handle rough play and stubborn behavior. I’ve worked at Petco handling small animals, volunteered at shelters, and now regularly walk dogs, giving me experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. From Farrah: I’ve cared for cats and dogs my entire life, and my Boston Terrier — who I walked and ran with for over 10 years — shaped my understanding of daily pet care, consistency, and companionship. As an adult, I fostered a kitten for almost a year and have been house-sitting for the past 3 years. I’ve cared for up to 4 cats, 2 dogs (large and small), and even goats and chickens for the family I regularly house sit for. Managing different species and routines has taught me how to stay organized, patient, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. ⸻ What We Offer ✔️ Safe, fun, controlled walks ✔️ Drop-ins with detailed updates and photos ✔️ Experience with high-energy breeds, seniors, and multi-pet homes ✔️ Respect for your home and your pet’s routine ✔️ A reliable two-person team for added flexibility and attention We’re patient, energetic, and passionate about giving every pet the care they deserve. Whether your pet is playful, shy, anxious, or full of energy, we’re great at meeting them where they are and helping them feel comfortable and loved. Pet care fits easily into our weekly routine because we both have flexible schedules. Here’s how we manage our availability: • Seth works part-time, which leaves plenty of open hours during the day for walks and drop-ins. • Farrah is currently pregnant and stays at home, so she’s almost always available to give consistent attention and care. • Walks are offered between 9 AM–6 PM. • Drop-ins are available until 8 PM. • Weekends and special situations can be accommodated upon request. • Because there are two of us, we’re able to provide reliable coverage, flexibility, and quick communication. We keep our schedule open to make sure your pet’s routine stays steady, stress-free, and well cared for. We take safety and trust seriously in every situation. When we’re caring for pets in your home, we follow your routines exactly, keep doors and gates secured, use your preferred equipment, and make sure everything is clean and locked up before we leave. For walks and drop-ins, we use safe, controlled walking practices, avoid risky dog interactions, watch weather conditions, and always keep your pet on leash. We send updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing. Overall, we treat every pet like our own. With two of us working together, your pet gets reliable attention, consistency, and a calm, safe environment every time.

About: I've been caring for dogs for years, starting with pet sitting for my best friend's dogs and later helping my sister care for pets in our community. My experience grew even further when I worked for a year at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I also worked at a veterinary clinic, giving me valuable knowledge about both dogs' and cats' health, behavior, and daily care needs. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own- providing plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and safe, reliable care while you're away. I am currently seeking a summer job before returning to college for the upcoming academic year. I am motivated to gain valuable work experience, develop professional skills, and earn income to help support my educational expenses. I am dependable, eager to learn, and available to work every day throughout the summer season, including weekends if needed. I am looking for an opportunity where I can contribute positively while building experience that will benefit me both personally and professionally. I provide attentive and compassionate care for pets in their own homes, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I follow each pet's routine, including feeding, exercise, playtime, and any special care instructions. I give pets plenty of affection and attention, monster their well-being, and maintain clean and secure environment.

About: I have had pets my whole life. Also, I prefer dogs but I have a couple years of experience helping out with my sister’s cats. I currently work remotely. So, I can be wherever you need me on any given day or time. I don’t normally work on weekends. I live with my girlfriend and her Boston Terrier ‘Haley’. She has a fenced in backyard to run around in and gets to chase around the ball a lot.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, so I’m very familiar with all the ups and downs that come with pet care. On top of that, I have experience working as a veterinary assistant where I was in charge of boarding, walking, bathing, and cleaning after all types of animals! I currently work full-time Tuesday through Friday. However, I am completely free on those afternoons and from Friday afternoon through Monday. So if you need an afternoon dog walker or a sitter for a weekend get away, I’m the person for you! I am very open to caring for pets in the way that you would like me to. I’m comfortable with following a strict schedule or making one up for you! I assure that updates such as pictures, videos, and texts will come as often as requested.
About: I have had pets of my own since the age of 8. I currently still love to help friends and family out when needed. From house sitting, daily walks, or even just a check in, I am more than happy to extend that to your home! My spouse and I are currently traveling the US for their work. After my last 7 years in Property Management I have decided to take a break and enjoy our travels. While my spouse works I like to keep active for my two doggos. I wanted to help others out that don’t have the freedom to get out with their pets as much as they’d like, or want the comfort of knowing their animals are well cared for while away for short or long periods of time. I have no problem following your pets comfortable routine. From Walking, playing, feeding, or giving oral medication, I want to be there to make sure your little ones routine isn’t interrupted due to life! I can even tend to accidents or clean ups.
About: I have always had a passion for animals goes beyond care. I have 2 cats, a leopard gecko, and an African Dwarf frog as my own pets. I have volunteered at animal shelters and worked in a veterinary clinic for a summer as a vet tech. I am also able to help with other types of pets as well, such as reptiles or mammals! I had a pet rabbit for 10 years and plenty experience with reptiles! I currently work part time right by lakeside mall, so I am available before I go in, during my lunch break (1 hour), and after I get off (latest will be 5:30) I am able to play with your pets/walk your dogs in the mornings before I go to work, during my hour long lunch break, and/or when I get off of work! My pets mean the absolute world to me. There’s nothing like gaining an animals trust and building that bond. I love every animal as my own and I can’t wait to meet your pets!
About: I have had my dog, Saraphina for 13 amazing years. She is what sparked my love for animals. I want the best for her as do I for every animal out in the world. I volunteer at Rolling River Rescue to help dogs find a home and walking them as much as possible. I walk my dog everyday as well as feeding her day and night. I give her lots of love as would I for any pet. Whenever I am not working, I volunteer at petsmart for Rolling River Rescue on saturdays. I will be able to care for your pet because I know that animals need patience and time to adapt to new people or surroundings. I want to give your pet the peace of mind that they are safe and not alone when their favorite person can’t be there. I have helped many animals that do not have homes open up to humans and receive the love they deserve.
About: I have taken care of my babies for the last 10 years. I use to volunteer at local animal shelters also. My cats are my life. I work 8 - 4 Monday through Friday. I can visit your pet when I get off during the week and on weekends, I’m open anytime. I will not be boarding animals at my house because of my babies. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Boutte. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
