“Olivia was fantastic! So grateful she was available last minute when I had car troubles coming home from a trip. She was communicative and followed all instructions. Would definitely have her back!”

“Adia took extra special care of our pups as an in-home sitter for a week long vacation and kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our pets were happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. Communication was prompt and friendly, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

“Outstanding!! Terri is very caring and accommodating. Gave love, care and comfort to our pup, just like we were there. Don’t hesitate to book her yourself, you will not regret it. Never doubt that she will treat your pet with the highest level of care, just like she did for us. Looking forward to using her in the future.”
“Claire is great! We’re excited to have her watch our girl again in a couple of weeks. She has great communication and makes me feel confident in her great care of our dog.”

“Megan was great to work with! She took great care of our boys while we were out of town, was communicative with updates and pics. She even washed the bedding from the guest room before she left. Thanks so much!”

“Nolvia was great with my babies. It’s always so hard finding someone you feel comfortable with. Nolvia made it an easy choice with how responsive, willing and accommodating she was for our babies. She went way beyond what we expected. Would 100% recommend Nolvia and will definitely use her again.”

About: I’ve taken care of many different breeds of dogs/cats since 2014. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, hydrate and give their pets loving and cuddles! I currently work remote. Allowing me ample time to care for your fur babies! At this time I am offering in home daily/overnight stays with your pets. I will feed/give them fresh water, let them outside to play/potty and give them all the snuggles as if you were home! I love to schedule meet and greets prior to sitting your pets. My clients typically give me a run down of how their home is set up and what their fur babies are used to! I can accommodate!
About: Experienced and dedicated animal care professional with a lifelong background in multi-species husbandry, specialized breeding, and medical care management. Proven expertise across a broad spectrum of animals—from domestic dogs and cats to reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, and exotic species. Highly skilled in medical administration (including 12-hour oral dosing and transdermal applications), preparing custom fresh-food diets, and managing neonate litters. Known for an intuitive, calm demeanor that quickly builds trust with anxious or sensitive animals while upholding the highest standards of animal welfare and responsible care.m My work schedule allows me to go to homes in local areas of Kenner, Metairie, some of New Orleans, the West Bank and Avondale, Louisiana. I work full time as a sales associate handling high-end, luxury goods with professional and personal references. I have open availability to visit before and after work daily in the morning (depending on where the pet is located) and evening every day. My work schedule rotates every week so the exact times of my availability will vary. I am guaranteed off work three (3) days a week. On my off days I can sleep at your pet's home, with the understanding that I do not have work the next day. I have an animal friendly home. Your cat or cats would have its own room. Cat tree, tunnel and toys. Treats if allowed!! I have 5 cats and 1 dog of my own. They are all friendly however, I would not introduce your babies to them. We want a low stress and safe feeling environment. I understand cats behavior and would not want any unnecessary stress to come to them or my babies.
“Jennifer was the absolute best! She was very thorough when we first met. Jennifer gave me updates daily with pictures. She took such great care of our Ruby, 100% will ask her to stay and see watch Ruby again. If you want someone who is very reliable, thorough, caring and devoted to your pet, book with Jennifer!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and they’ve always been my favorite kind of company. I’m patient and keep things calm and low-key. I usually watch just one dog at a time, so you can rest assured that I will treat your dog as if they were my own. Since I work remotely, your dog won’t be left alone much and will get attention throughout the day. I make sure to follow whatever routine helps your dog feel most comfortable. Happy to send you photos and updates throughout the day as well. I’m flexible with pickup and drop off times. I will be with your pup all day, and they’ll get plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s routine. If they’re a high energy dog, they’ll get long walks. If they’re a senior or low energy, I’ll take them on shorter walks or just let them sniff in the yard.

I also have reliable transportation. I can provide drop in, walking, and overnight stays for the next few weeks
“Chloe is the best. I had a change in plans and had to extend my trip and she agreed to stay longer with my babies. I never worried once about them. Amazing sitter!!”

“This was the second time Adam stayed at our house and took care of our cat, Gonzi. Once again, Adam's care for Gonzi was wonderful. As well as being attentive to our specific requests, they spent time with Gonzi and gave him quality care. We received updates and returned to a happy cat and a clean and tidy home. We look forward to booking Adam again and would not hesitate to recommend them to other pet owners.”

“Lily did a wonderful job with my senior, partially deaf, dog, and guinea pig. My dog can be challenging as he can be a bit standoffish, but she got him to warm up. Also, he only gets pain medication when necessary, so it was up to her observation and judgment. My guinea pig requires daily cage cleaning and feeding, in addition to handling my dog's needs.”

“Molly took care of my senior and 3 yo huskies for 5 days and did a great job; I plan to ask her to help again in the future. She walked them according to what we agreed and they seemed healthy and happy upon my return. Her updates included pics, and she told me when she was "accepted into the pack" when my dog decided to sleep on the bed with her. Thanks Molly!”
About: I have a calm demeanor that appeals to all sorts of animal personalities. In the past i’ve volunteered with Zues' Rescue and I’m generally the go to pet care friend :) I’m a school counselor, so during the school year I am available after school and on weekends. During the summer, I am available 24/7. I can make exceptions if I am on PTO, holidays, etc. I make sure to observe an animals natural routine. Where they like their toys to be, their food dishes, etc. I am especially understanding of animals who may have experienced trauma and have triggers; I make sure to meet them at their level when I approach, speak quietly, etc.
About: Growing up, my nuclear family cared for roughly thirty cats, both indoor and outdoor. Naturally, part of my daily routine was feeding them all before getting on the school bus, keeping the litter boxes and surrounding areas tidy throughout the day, and of course providing AMPLE love to all. I have experience nursing abandoned kittens to health and maturity, as well as acclimating feral cats into the home. I am more than keen when it comes to feline behavior! (My mother used to "joke" that her four children should come together and open a vet clinic.) Today, my husband and I have a well-trained, 3 year old shepherd mix named Poet, whom we adopted at just 8 weeks old, and a 5 year old American bobtail kitty named Millie, who we also rescued. We both work from home and our animals are our absolute lives. Normal days for us include walks around the neighborhood, as well as trips to City Bark. We have a fenced in backyard for potty time, as well as sun bathing. Both as our animal have free reign of our home; they watch TV with us, answer email with us, snooze with us, cook with us, etc.! You can trust that your fur baby would be met with the same love, adoration, and care that we provide to our own. Both my husband and myself work from home and are able to provide near-constant care for your fur babies, whether that pertain to potty breaks or play time! We have a modest fenced in yard, as well as one dog and one cat of our own. Both are friendly with all species! We have ample space (spare bedrooms) to set up up a crate/kennel if desired.

Macie was fantastic with our stubborn, sassy girl. It’s obvious that Macie just has something special that makes animals feel comfortable. I knew instantly I wouldn’t have to worry about our dog while we were away. She also left the house cleaner than when we left. 100% recommend.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Luling walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Luling maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Luling choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
