“Amy was great! She was very welcoming. My mini doxie has a pretty intense case of separation anxiety and even though I feel bad he gave her a hard time for the first little while once he settled down he was happy as could be and formed an attachment to her daughter which was adorable! Communication was good, and I brought home a happy boy. Definitely going to keep her in my back pocket. :)”

“I couldn’t dream up better care for our dog. Mandy is an absolute sweetheart. She is kind, fun, active and my timid dog absolutely loves spending time with her. ?”

“Henry loved going to Julia's house. We are from out of town and had a somewhat unpredictable schedule. She was really accommodating and took great care of our fur baby. When we took him over the second day, he was super excited to get dropped off. Great care, I would definitely recommend Julia.”

“Amber is awesome! I had a spur of the moment work trip come up, she was easy to iron out details with. I will definitely use her in all future salt lake/ Layton travels in the future!”

About: Pet care can feel uncertain and stressful. I hope I can help you bring some peace of mind in the process of finding the right care for your pet. I've taken care of and owned cats my whole life with dogs stepping into the last half of my life. With 3 dogs of my own, including experience with a chronically ill pup, I'm used to catering to pets with special diets and regular medication. I deeply enjoyed the time I spent working in a veterinary and boarding clinic, getting to experience the joy of taking care of every pet's needs, whether that be overnight boarding, day boarding, health and wellness, or basic training. I have loved pet sitting for people close to me for the last 4 years and decided to take it further to be able to fully enjoy the love and company that pets bring every day. I can provide comfort for any pet parents worried about their safety and standard of care. I would be delighted to get to spend more time with your pet and will keep you updated with photos, videos, and any special experiences during the time you're away. I'm a home-body and have a very flexible schedule, making me available for full attentiveness at any time, day or night. I understand how vital it is to find the right person to trust with your babies. I hope I have the opportunity to be that right fit you're looking for. I am currently caring for pets full time and am able to provide any routine your pet needs to be happy and at peace while you are away. Whether in my own home or yours, I can make any adjustments needed to accommodate any specific needs your pet may have. I have high standards of care I provide, whether in my home or yours. I am able to keep a close eye in any situation to ensure your pet is safe, healthy, and happy.
“Brynne is an amazing dog caregiver . Picked up my Han and he was happy and worn out from playing ( he has lots of energy) . We will definitely come back when we are back in town . Thank you 😊”

“Gabbi and Oliver are in LOVE with Kristen !! They were so happy and had great fun with all of their doggy friends ❤️❤️❤️ I would highly recommend Kristen to anyone leaving their young puppies for vacation. She gave me pieces of mind while away from home. Thank you very much!!”

About: I have been fostering animals for over 10 years. I also have 3 dogs of my own along with two cats. Animals are absolutely my greatest passion. Helping animals is something I hope I can continue to do for a long time. I work from home so I am able to set my own schedule. It’s also nice that my kids are all in full day school now so my schedule is even my flexible. I will love your pet as if they are my own. Animals are family. I have three dogs of my own at home along with two cats. I do not ever want a pet to feel overwhelmed or stressed out. Leaving a pet behind is hard enough without adding any extra struggles.

About: I have had a dog as long as can remember, I’m retired and I can spend time with each dog individually, they will feel loved. I’m retired and would be able to care for a pet daily around the clock. I have a fenced yard with security cameras covering the property. I have a secured yard, I have an automatic doggie door that allows in and out access at all times. I have dog crates if needed. I will follow requested feeding instructions.
“Ray and his family were great!! Our dog seemed like she had the best time and was well taken care of! I loved receiving pictures and updates throughout the day! Will absolutely book again!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and helping take care of pets for family and friends. I’m responsible, patient, and enjoy spending time with dogs and cats. I can feed, walk, play with, and keep pets comfortable while owners are away. I’m not currently working right now so I have a lot of free time to watch and play with your dogs. I’m available most days and can give them alot of attention, potty breaks, walks and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I have a big fenced backyard for dogs to run around and play safely. I also have a friendly Chihuahua that does good with other dogs. I’ll always make sure your pets are safe, fed, happy and getting the attention they need.
“Rachael was an absolute life saver this time (and as always)! We had an emergency come up and needed someone to watch our puppy last minute over night, not to mention our puppy was just recovering from surgery, and Rachael was so quick to respond, accommodating, flexible, understanding, and perfect with our puppy. She helped keep our puppy safe, administered medicine, and was so loving with her as we were away. We cannot sing her praises high enough! Thank you Rachael!!!”

“Aimee and her family were a huge help and excellent caregivers for Jasper while we attended a two day conference, having travelled from our home in Texas! She was available on relatively short notice and helpful after a prior advanced booked Rover daycare sitter cancelled on us unexpectedly! We had Jasper in Aimee's personable and positive care for the first time for 2 full days! Aimee provided very good feedback, including photos, about his stay. What a relief and blessing it was to have her / their capable and caring help! Jasper is typically anxious around other dogs. He got to play with 2 dogs at Aimee's house, and was reported to have played well! Jasper had outdoor play in their fenced in backyard, and indoor time as well, with Aimee and her children. Jasper ate his one afternoon meal and had plenty to drink during his day stays. We greatly appreciate the wonderful care provided for Jasper and highly recommend Aimee and her family!! Thank you very much!!! We hope Jasper can stay again if ever we're needing help in UT.”

“Cambree was wonderful with Lilly! She went above and beyond with Lilly’s health issues in taking care of her. Her children were adorable and loved on Lilly. Lilly enjoyed going over there. I took a transfer here from the mid west and had to have Lilly watched while at work until I found a place to live. I have found a place and am moving this weekend!”

“Alexis is the best!! She’s the sweetest and takes amazing care of Stella. She sends updates and my pup comes home tuckered every time they hang out, she’s also a delight to talk to every time I see her. We will be requesting her services again :)”

“Rachel is the best! She has been so kind and accommodating. She’s welcomed our puppy to her home multiple times (including holidays) with so much love and made her feel so happy! We are so grateful!”

“I highly recommend Dani and Hayden. They were friendly and communicative throughout my puppy’s stay. They took excellent care of my puppy and went above and beyond to help continue her training while I was away during the day. My puppy loved her stay with them and came home tired from a fun day of play.”

“I had a wonderful experience with this dog sitter! My dogs were very happy in her care and were excited to go back each morning, which gave me a lot of confidence that they were being well looked after. She was reliable, communicative, and kept me updated with photos and even the routes they took on their walks. It was great to see what they were up to throughout the day. One day, one of my dogs rolled in something particularly messy, and she took the time to get her cleaned up before I picked her up. That extra level of care was really appreciated. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bountiful
Amber was amazing to work with, she went the extra mile to make sure my dog was comfortable meeting Stormy, and he came home happy at the end of the day. She was available last second and was super accommodating to my hectic and ever-changing schedule. I'm only in town for a couple days, but next time I visit, I'll be contacting Amber again 😁

Dani and Hayden and their doggie Ollie were so good with our 6 month old puppy. They took him for the day on very short notice and sent him home happy and well cared for. I got photos throughout the day so I felt relaxed knowing our doggie was having a good time.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bountiful commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
