About: I’ve always had animals in my home growing up! I have dog sitted for neighbors growing up. In highschool, I interned at an animal clinic and helped the animals in need. I want a future in helping animals find the care they need. I know that this place is the first step into finding my career. I am working full time, but I am at my house around 6pm or earlier Monday-Friday. If your pet needs to go outside in the afternoon, I have resources to help me with that. If I am dog-sitting your dog, I will walk it once I get home from work and make sure they are cared for! I have 1 dog and 2 cats in my home. My dog can be crated if needs be. The cats roam around inside the house. I have a fenced yard, it is under construction as of right now, but I will make sure your dog has access to a yard that he/she can get their energy out in. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have experience caring for dogs at every stage of life. My most recent pup had several health issues, which taught me to be especially attentive to medication schedules, routines, and changes in behavior or well-being. I’m currently full time- however I work a hybrid schedule. I will be working from home on Thursdays and Fridays to help accommodate any weekend trips! About: I have two dogs myself both going to be two in May. I’ve had a multiple different animals growing up. in school to be a veterinarian. I am free in the afternoon after 4pm and during the weekend, I’m free anytime. In the holidays it’s more hard to fit in my schedule, but I try to get as much as I can open so I can help. I make sure that they have the food and water that they need and also the right amount of exercise daily. We have many toys and we have a Dog Park that is really close by to my house and also quite a bit of hikes nearby.

I have a large, fenced yard with plenty of room to explore, sniff, and play! I have one 13 year old dog — a sweet, social, pet-friendly Golden Retriever — to keep your pup company. His name is Simba, he loves to say hi and will engage if your pup initiates, but is also very content to keep to himself and takes cues and warnings well. Simba is a free roaming dog and I am happy to keep your pup out and about while I'm home and able to supervise. I also live with a cat who keeps to herself and stays confined to a dog-free room. She will not interact with your pets during their stay. For your pup's safety and mine, I prefer they are crate trained. That way, I can ensure they are safe and comfortable while I'm out. I also utilize kennels as a quiet space for dogs to decompress and recharge separate from outside distractions. However, they will be offered plenty of time outside of their crates, both indoors and outdoors. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds in my house. However, I can enforce any off-furniture rules to maintain their routine while away from home.

At my own home, I have two cats. One cat has chronic pancreatitis and often needs medicine to treat her symptoms, both in pill and liquid form. The other cat is an escape artist so I know how to walk into my home with extra caution to ensure they stay inside. Both cats can be playful, so we use laser pointers, furry mice toys, and worms on a stick to make sure they get their energy out, but we make sure not to use feathers or loose strings that could be harmful if ingested. We also have plenty of scratching posts available, as well as two cat trees for them to climb and scratch to their hearts content. In the case of discipline, my husband and I use a spray bottle of water to help discourage unwanted behaviors.
