We have a senior dog that doesn’t travel well and we usually have people come stay or check in on him, but none of them could do it. I searched Rover for people who had good reviews and repeat customers. Leilani agreed to help last minute and it was much appreciated. She checked on our senior guy twice while we were gone overnight, took care of his diaper, and cleaned up any messes he had. She also fed him. She sent pictures and communicated any problems. It looks like he didn’t want to get out of bed so she brought his food to him for one of the feedings, which was a super sweet way to make sure he got food. We would hire her again.”

About: I had a pet dog growing up, and I have frequently dog-sat for my parents. I now find myself under employed and looking to make some extra money while spending time with dogs! I'm currently working part-time, with the option to work from home, so I am extremely flexible. I live in downtown Concord within walking distance of 3 parks, so near constant access to the outdoors is a bonus! I live in an apartment that allows dogs of all sizes and breeds. I do not have a fenced yard, but I do live on the ground floor and have a lead attached to my deck for when I'm hanging out on the deck I also have a pet cat, so ant dog staying in the house would need to be cat savy.

About: I have had one or more dogs in my house since the day I was born! I just want to give every dog (and pet) the love and attention they deserve, no matter what their age is or their activity level. Doggie cuddles and rubs are the best part of my day! I love playing frisbee and going on long (or short) walks through the neighborhood and in parks. Squeaky toys are lots of fun! Pets are just as much a part of our family as children are! You should never have to worry about your furniture being chewed up or if you pet is getting enough attention while you are at work or on vacation. I will love your pet as much as I love my own! They will get the same amount of attention as if they were mine!

About: Hello! I have taken care of my own, family, and friends' animals for over 15 years and those in the community going on five years. I've worked with most breeds and ages. Size does not matter whether your best friend is 5Ibs or 150Ibs! I have a flexible schedule and can work with you on times. Whether it's walking, visits and feeding or all of the above I'm happy to help. I have experience with senior dogs and their sometimes more complex needs, including medical. For all services I require a meet and greet first. For house sitting, I don't do over nights but can be there very early and/or late and happy to work from your home and give your dog(s) as much interaction and breaks they need. For daycare in my home, I require a meet and greet with my dogs, preferably on neutral ground such as a local park, or my yard if needed. Dogs are just like humans, sometimes they're best friends sometimes they aren't and my number one priority is the safety of all animals. Dogs need to be okay with kids. My children are very respectful and I've taught them from a young age how to interact with dogs and read their body language, and give them space. But I know not all dogs have had positive experiences with kids. Don't worry about size or puppy rambunctiousness- they are used to that! I have extra crates if needed or prefered. I don't do off leash, your dog may be great off leash and have awesome recall, but I'm a new person and your dog might be anxious or just not as focused with someone new. Again my priority is safety, after all this is your best friend and family member! I have ground tethers that give them a large range to free roam, explore and play. I also use 30ft leads for fun walks in woods or local hiking trails. Feel free to ask about cats too! I love cats and am first and foremost a crazy cat lady. I've sat for all ages and levels of feline pickiness. I've done meds, including injections for kitties too. I work from home and as a result have a flexible schedule. I take time out of my day regularily to walk, play and be with our dogs and yours, it's a great way for me to break up my day and get to know the great dogs in the community. When caring for your pets I take great care to be respectful of your space, only going where I need to for your animals. I make a point to clean any pet mess and ensure they are secure before leaving.
