My husband and I are helicopter parents about our babies who have very specific and different needs including our boy cat who needs to be medicated and is a very picky eater. Lucas sent us very frequent updates on the state of our cat's appetite and how things were going. In the past, we have come home to find our cat has either lost weight or has liquid medication smeared on his fur from medication difficulties. When we came home our boy cat looked the best he's ever looked after such a long stay with a house sitter. We can tell our cats felt very at home and comfortable with Lucas. The house looks great, very clean and exactly how we left it. All and all, among the best rover experiences we've had! Great communication, healthy happy pets, a clean home, what more could we ask for?”

She took time with them and gave them space to let them come to her and we were pleasantly surprised at how friendly everyone was with her and how comfortable they seemed around her. During the visit she sent pictures and went above and beyond the care instructions, washing the dishes used for their meals, replacing our tissues, and leaving the house better than when we left. She communicated throughout the entire process and made us feel safe in leaving our felines and our home in her hands.”

About: I have taken care of many animals in my lifetime weather it being my neighbors or the animals at my jobs. I am very reliable with animals, and I have experience because I have worked at a dog boarding place for 2 years! At this moment my availability is some what I work at a restaurant so that could interfere if it’s an earlier notice I’ll be able to fit you in my schedule easier! From past experiences I have gotten a list of chores that needs to be done for the animals (example: walking times, feeding times, playing time, etc).

“Steffi is my cousin. She is usually away for college and I was not sure how my little fur baby, Lucky, would react to a new face. Sure enough, they hit it off the spot! Lucky is a very shy cat who does not like to be around new people but it was to my surprise that my cat felt very comfortable in her presence, especially the first time they met. I had previous pet sitters in the past but I was not fully satisfied until I reached out to Steffi when she was visiting home during her winter break and summer vacations. Knowing that she cares for her 3 dogs and cat I knew she was exactly the right person for the job! She is a nursing student and with her busy schedule she is able to balance her studies as well as take care of my baby. Not only does she strive to care for the well-being of humans, I know she has a genuine kind heart for furry pets too. Whenever she is with Lucky, she would update me every hour or whenever she can with pictures and videos when I am away, such as Lucky eating during mealtime, sleeping and fun moments of them two playing together with his toys. There are also times where she would take Lucky on short walks which I greatly appreciate ad I am sure that Lucky did too! I used to take him onto adventure hikes and little walks outside but due to my busy schedule I have not been able to do so. Steffi is definitely a great and trusting pet sitter for my cat and I intend to hire her again in the future when she comes back home during school breaks to care for Lucky.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals all my life. I have dogs and cats at home, but have also taken care of animals for family members and friends. I have experience in basic care, but also in minor vet care. I have experience in cleaning wounds, replacing bandages, giving shots and medications, and in nail trimming. If you need anything that isn’t listed, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss if I can help provide that service. Rates are negotiable. I’m currently on maternity leave until January so my schedule is wide open and flexible. After my leave ends I will be working full time in Columbia but will still check on your animals 2-3 times a day if asked to. Rates are negotiable. Currently I only offer watching pets at my clients home. This lets your pets maintain a sense of normalcy and calm while you are away. I can feed them and ensure they have clean water, walk them, and play with them so they aren’t lonely.

About: I am a registered veterinary technician that is very passionate taking care of animals. I have 20 yrs of experience working in emergency and critical care, caring for dogs and cats that are very sick and need to be cared for. I am very comfortable caring for healthy dogs/cats or pets that need medications or special care. I work full time, but want to work around my schedule to make Rover work! I would not be able to bring your pet to my house due to I have a German shepherd that takes a while to warm up to. I can walk pets, do check ins, but will not be able to stay the night due to having a family. I am able to walk your pet wherever you prefer, let your dog outside and feed your pet, spend playtime with your pet. I am able and willing to medicate your pet as well or anything the pet requires, even if has special care requests.
