About: I have over 5 years of pet-sitting experience and have had dogs my entire life, giving me extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs of various breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. What sets me apart is my commitment to providing personalized care and maintaining each pet's normal routine so they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. In addition to pet sitting, I occasionally volunteer at a puppy nursery that cares for rescued mother dogs and their newborn puppies. This experience has given me additional exposure to caring for young puppies, monitoring their needs, and helping provide a safe and nurturing environment during an important stage of their development. I am comfortable caring for multiple pets, administering basic medications if needed, and providing extra patience and attention to puppies, senior pets, and animals with specific routines. Whether a pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply having companionship throughout the day, I adapt my care to meet their individual needs. I understand that every pet is unique, and I strive to provide reliable, attentive care while keeping owners updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. I am currently taking online classes over the summer, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, pet sitting, and overnight care. My priority is always providing a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for pets. I live on 12 acres in a quiet setting and have one small, very friendly Cocker Spaniel. While my yard is not fenced, pets are always supervised outdoors and can be kept on long leads for safe exercise and exploration when appropriate. I never allow pets off-leash unless specifically instructed by the owner and it is safe to do so. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their established routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while keeping their environment clean and secure. I understand that trust is important when someone is caring for a beloved pet, so I maintain open communication and provide regular updates and photos. I also pay close attention to each pet's behavior and needs to ensure they are happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout my time with them.
About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs since before I can remember and I watch my parents dogs on trips quite often. I also watch other friends dogs as well as I’ve done some overnight house sitting! I am a Registered Nurse at Big Tree and I have two dogs of my own but can stay overnight at your house if needed! I am available to watch overnight as well as during the weekend. I am willing to do medications as well as walks and play time! I usually can let the dogs out by 3-4 hours max!
“Morgan was so sweet with our pups! She came to meet them and us ahead of our trip so we could all feel confident in the situation. She sent lots of photos and made sure they had plenty of play time while we were away.”

“We were originally going to board our dogs during our destination wedding, but I got nervous last minute. Mackenzie saved the day for us. Our dogs loved her and they got to stay home with their routines instead of being anxious somewhere new. Would definitely rebook and highly recommend 💓”

“Breeonna was AMAZING with our boys while we were away! She kept me updated on how they were and not only took care of my boys but our home as well. I had absolutely no stress while we were away knowing my boys were getting all the cuddles and attention they're used to getting daily. When we got home, my boys were incredibly happy and healthy and our home was in tip top shape. Breeonna even went above and beyond washing all bedding, towels, took out the trash, and even did all the dishes. She left the place in incredible condition and I couldn't appreciate her more. I will absolutely be using her in the future.”

I have experience caring for a variety of animals; including treating wounds, feeding, basic grooming, walks and basic puppy training (going potty, sit etc) Message me! i love animals so i can make time for this “side hustle” any time! i have an open and / or flexible schedule most days vigilante supervision, attention to owners instructions, keeping animals either fenced or in a harness. being mindful of some of the risks involved in certain scenarios.
About: You will not be disappointed by the quality of care you receive when your dog(s) is in my care. I have loved helping others with their family needs since I was young. My career as a nanny involved helping families for over 10 years with their children, animals, and other needs. I believe they are our four-legged babies. They will receive my full attention. You will receive pictures and messages throughout my time with them. They will only eat and play with the things you allow. We do have plenty of dog toys if they are pre-approved by you of course. We now have a lovable 10 year old mini schnauzer of our own who loves being around other dogs. Our children love being around other animals as well. They understand how to be kind and gentle to animals. I do, unfortunately, have some allergies and can only care for hypoallergenic dogs. Please ask if you are unsure about your breed. We have a large fenced-in yard and our house is conveniently located with easy access to a lot of surrounding towns. Thank you! My schedule is very flexible. Some days I run my children to school or daycare and back whenever it is convenient for us. I am a stay at home mom always looking to help others. Our yard is very large and fenced-in. Yadi is our mini schnauzer. He is almost 10 years old and loves being around other dogs. We are close to North highway 63, but live in the quiet country with a lot of nature and wildlife. Our gravel road is perfect for walks. And since I am located in between so many local cities I don't mind driving to care for your pup. I can easily crate your animal for you, as well. Let's discuss what you need!
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 8 years old. Ive spent my childhood and adulthood having them around to a point were life is not the same if they are not around. I am a responsible pet owner who puts the care of these innocent souls a priority 100% of the time. A dog doesnt have to wiggle its tail to fit into my space or schedule. Its more of a blend. Thats how love flows. I work remotely 2 days a week and 2 days at the office but my schedule is flexible. I treat any dog as if it my own. I see no differences. Their love is unconditional, and so its mine. During the time together, we are.
About: I treat every dog like family—not just a job. I learn their quirks, their favorite toys, and what makes their tail wag. I build trust with both dogs and their humans, creating a calm, loving environment that feels like home. I will ALWAYS send updated pictures a videos! Even with a full-time job, pet care is a priority I plan around, not squeeze in. I only accept clients I can fully commit to—meaning your pet gets the time, energy, and attention they deserve. I offer early morning, evening, and weekend care, and I’m highly organized to keep everything running smoothly. Pet care isn’t a side hustle for me—it’s a passion I build into my daily life. When pets stay with me, they become part of the family. I provide a safe, clean, and cozy environment with plenty of playtime, cuddles, and structure. I stick closely to their home routines—feeding, walks, medications, and bedtime habits—so they feel secure and comfortable. I make sure they get mental stimulation, physical activity, and lots of love throughout the day. In-home care means your pet stays in their familiar space, which helps reduce stress. I keep everything consistent with your instructions—from feeding and potty breaks to walks, play, and downtime. I respect your home like it’s my own and always send updates, photos, and quick check-ins to keep you at ease while you’re away.
About: Providing quality care is very important to me. I have Veterinary experience and I am trained/ certified in Pet First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration (oral, topical, and injections), Providing Sub-Q / IV fluids, and I specialize in medical needs animals, and reactive or aggressive animals. I have had pets my entire life and I’ve cared for all different types of animals. Dogs, cats, snakes, ferrets, rats, guinea pigs, other small animals, horses, and even a Patagonian Mara! I do not have any restrictions on pets I can’t care for. I worked as a dog groomer so I have experience with bathing and grooming and would be happy to provide grooming services for an additional cost. I try to always be available in times of need. Whether that be an emergency, late night visit, or a last minute booking. This is one reason I accept bookings 24/7 unless we are traveling. I do pet sitting full time. You need an overnight visit for a pet with medical needs? No problem! You have a puppy who needs to go out in the middle of the night? You got it! Whatever your needs may be, I promise that I am willing to work with you the best I can! I will always make your pets safety a priority when they are in my care. Any instructions given will be carefully read and followed. Pictures can be sent, updates given, and lots of pets of course. Treats too if given permission first!

FAQs for House Sitting - Fayette
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 186 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fayette. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fayette walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fayette maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fayette choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
