“Leaving Gwen is always stressful, but they took excellent care of her and made the whole experience so much easier. They were attentive, loving, and incredibly kind from start to finish. They kept me updated with great communication and lots of pictures, took Gwen on a car ride to the park, even gave her a bath, and treated her like she was part of their own family. The best part was coming home to a happy, relaxed Gwen. I couldn’t have asked for better care and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

Thank You Mary and Jonathan. We appreciate y'all.”

“Sharon was a lifesaver for me. I needed to have surgery and needed someone to take care of my dog. My dog hadn’t ever been watched by anyone. She is the greatest and best!!”

About: A Home Away From Home for Your Pup! Dogs have always been part of my family, and I love creating a comfortable, relaxed home-away-from-home experience for them. My 6-year-old Boston Terrier, Coco, is my constant sidekick and the daughter I never had! She can use a furry friend and takes a few minutes to warm up. I'd love to welcome your pup into my home for a stay filled with love, attention, playtime and plenty of couch cuddles. I intentionally keep my boarding small and personal, typically hosting just 1–2 guest dogs at a time so each pup gets plenty of individual attention. Your dog will be treated like part of the family—not just another boarding guest. Small, family-style boarding — just 1–2 guest dogs at a time Fenced yard for safe outdoor play and potty breaks Lots of love, attention & companionship Daily photo & video updates so you can see how your pup is doing Comfortable home environment with plenty of attention and downtime Meet & greet before the first stay to make sure everyone is comfortable Whether you're headed out for a weekend getaway or a longer trip, I'd love to give your pup a safe, happy place to call home while you're away. Come meet Coco and me—I'd love to meet your furry family member! Open to meet & greets to acclimate and see if we are a good fit ! I currently work Full-Time in and out of my home as a Realtor® so I have lots of flexibility to walk and love on the pups throughout my days. Our Boston Terrier even loves to ride in the car with me. So when the wether permits, she joins me as I travel around the Triangle providing home tours and knowledge to my clients. I have a nice fenced in yard and 2 crates, if needed. I can crate your pup as needed or he/she can roam about with Coco on the 1st floor. We can even crate your pup for sleeping at night, like we do Coco.

“Awesome stay! I had been invited to a wedding out of town and needed someone to watch my dog. I’d never left her with anyone and she’s 3, so who I’d trust is very slim. From the beginning Diana and Jesse were very responsive and kind. We did a short meet and greet and I felt content leaving Leilani behind on this trip. Throughout the trip I received photos and updates about how things were going. We just got home, settled in, I’ve been unpacking and Leilani has been asleep the whole time. She loved her stay and is completely worn out ☺️ I’d definitely recommend Diana and Jesse to anyone! They keep your dogs routine, treat them as you would and make leaving your dog behind way easier!”

“Far & away the BEST dogsitter I’ve ever had. She is so attentive, sends lots of photos, & genuinely loves & enjoys dogs. Other times with other sitters, my dogs came home stressed. With Sarah, it was love @ first meet & greet, & they didn’t even look back at me when I dropped them off for their actual stay. Can’t say enough good things.”

“Megan was fantastic with my dog Trixie who has issues with guarding. She seemed very capable of handling Trixie and made me feel comfortable about leaving town. She gave me updates and made some good suggestions to help with Trixie's behavior. Trixie seemed to have had a great time. It was nice knowing Trixie was safe while I was away.”

“Dan and Kevin are both very kind and respectful people who truly cared for my dog while I was on vacation. They took him for walks, comforted him when he was a bit nervous that I was gone, and even hand fed him his dinner to encourage him to eat. Overall a 10/10 experience - Dan updated me with lots of pictures and videos and it is clear my dog had a good time. We will definitely be back the next time I need dog sitting!”

“Jessica was very fast to respond to my booking request, then she sent photos throughout the evening and one before bedtime. Turns out my pup was very anxious and she ended up spending the night on the couch so he could be closer to the front door where he wanted to watch for us. She was a good sport and I felt confident and trusted her with our dog.”

“Karollyne was an absolutely fantastic dog sitter! She took tremendous care of our dog, including sending pictures and updates throughout the stay. We will absolutely book with her in the future!”

“Molly was fantastic! She took great care of our needy rescue dog, was communicative, and followed our many requests. Molly has a peaceful home in a beautiful neighborhood. Would definitely recommend!”

Katsiaryna was great! She took care of Banjo over the weekend and sent us photos and updates throughout his stay. It was clear that she and her family took wonderful care of him and made him feel right at home. We felt very comfortable leaving Banjo with her and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!

This was my first time ever leaving my pup for an extended period while being out of town, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The sitter constantly sent photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I felt more comfortable leaving him than I ever have before. He clearly had an amazing time and became very attached to her and her family. They welcomed us with open arms and warm greetings, and their kids are absolutely adorable and wonderful with dogs. They were also extremely flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, which made everything so easy. I truly appreciate the care and love they gave my pup, and I look forward to using this wonderful family for my future pet-sitting needs. Highly recommend!

Our 9 months old puppy had a wonderful experience with Darling and would absolutely recommend! They sent multiple updates throughout the day, letting us know how our dog was doing, whether he had eaten, and sharing pictures and videos. They even took the time to do a video call with us so we could see him while we were away. They also have two very sweet dogs of their own, and our dog had so much fun playing with them. It was comforting to know he had company and wasn't lonely while we were gone. From all the updates, it was clear he was happy, well cared for, and having a great time. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely book with them again!
Darling is a great pet sitter, she took wonderful care of our dog and our dog was so happy!! We also loved the pictures she sent to keep us updated. Their dogs are also super friendly and welcomed our dog. You will not regret choosing her and highly recommended. We will definitely book her again when required. Thanks Darling.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Bonsal.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
