About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs for over 15 years. I grew up in a cat-loving home, where my parents welcomed seven cats into our family. My siblings and I all shared the responsibility of caring for them, so looking after animals has always been a part of my life. We also always had big dogs! Mastiffs, Labrador Retrievers, and a Standard Poodle, I’m very comfortable caring for both large and small breeds. Our newest family member, Penny the Chihuahua, has given me plenty of experience earning the trust of shy, skittish, anxious, and even grumpy little pups. I understand that some dogs and cats need a little extra time to feel comfortable, and I’m committed to respecting their boundaries while making them feel safe, loved, and cared for. Whether your pet is outgoing or a little more reserved, I’ll meet them where they are and give them the patience and kindness they deserve. To me, pets are so much more than animals, they’re family. While you’re away, I’ll care for your furry family member with the same love, attention, and respect that I would give my own, so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands! Right now I work at a family-friend owned franchise and have very flexible hours. If i’m notified 2-1 week’s in advance I could have the entire day/days dedicated to taking care of your pup. If last minute pet care is needed, I can more than likely work my schedule around to help with your needs! I have a mostly fenced in yard and will be taking that fix into priority, I just don’t currently have the funds to finish the other side of the fence. Leashed walks and potty breaks will be the for front of my care until we are able to fix the fence. I am more than happy to stand on the curb side for 25 minutes while your pup sniffs the same concrete patch each walk, per the inconvenience 😅😂 I understand and have experience following feeding schedules so if you have list, please let me know and i’d be happy to follow!

About: I grew up with cats for 15 years and have taken care of dogs a handful of times. Passionate about animals and love to help people. I currently work full time in the Air Force from 8-4 Monday through Friday. I can come home and let dogs out during lunch and take care of whatever is needed. Most weekends I am free and able to dog/cat sit. I will take care of pets like they are my own whether they are in my house or in yours. I love to play with them if they are energetic, take them for walks, or just hang out on the couch for some lazy time.

My fur babies loved Valerie. I knew they were in good hands with her. She sent us lots of pictures and some videos of their playtime. It warmed my heart to see my boys happy. She even fixed our doggie flaps that came loose so our boys would not be scared to go outside. She hand fed my puppy which I know he loves. I appreciate you taking care of my boys. I would definitely book her again.

Jennifer was amazing with my dog Nova. She came everyday fed her, played with her and my cat although she didn't have to. She was very attentive and gentle with my pets. I had no issues with her coming to my home while I was away and she was sure to lock up and leave the key somewhere I can easily find it on her last day. I appreciate Jennifer greatly and will be using her services again!

I'm a stay-at-home mom with plenty of time to take care of pets on a regular basis. I'm available 7 days a week, including many holidays. About: I've worked in animal care for several years, starting at a dog boarding and daycare facility where I spent six years. I began as a kennel technician and worked my way up to general manager, gaining extensive experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, behaviors, and medical needs. I'm currently pursuing a long-term goal of becoming a veterinary technician. In my free time, I foster animals for a local rescue that I'm passionate about. I take pride in using fear-free handling techniques, understanding animal body language, working through behavioral challenges, and providing compassionate care for medically compromised pets. While I'm relatively new to Rover, I've been caring for pets in my home for years. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving their owners peace of mind. I'll treat your pets like they're my own and will keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay. I work full-time as a veterinary assistant at a local animal hospital. I have at least two days off each week and work a half day on Wednesdays. While I am away during part of the day, I come home every day during my hour lunch break to let your baby out for a potty break, playtime, and some extra love and attention. In the evenings, I enjoy taking dogs for walks (weather permitting) and spending quality time with them. When I have pets in my care, I plan my schedule around their needs. I avoid making additional plans so I can provide plenty of one-on-one attention, playtime, cuddles, and consistency with their normal routine. I do provide care in your home, with the same schedule/availability. Such as; going to your home on my break to care for the pet(s), only sitting for one family at a time, walks, etc. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable, loved, and at home as possible while you're away. I have a fully fenced backyard. I also have a pool that is currently being fenced for added safety. My philosophy is simple: pets are never left unattended outside. If your pet is crate-trained or simply feels more comfortable in a crate, I have plenty of space to set one up for daytime or overnight use. I only care for one client's pet(s) at a time to provide the safest environment and plenty of one-on-one attention. I have a designated "dog cabinet" stocked with essentials like pill pockets, peanut butter, and ability to keep any medications your pet may need during their stay. If your pet rides in my vehicle, I use a pet seat belt to help keep them secure during travel. I ask that owners provide a properly fitted harness or collar and leash. If you're unable to do so, I have extras available (with your permission) to safely transfer your pet to and from my home and for walks. I do my best to maintain your pet's normal feeding schedule, so I appreciate detailed instructions regarding meals, treats, and any special preferences. I also always ask about food sensitivities, allergies, or other dietary needs to ensure your pet stays happy and healthy. These apply to in your home as well.

About: Not only do I focus on providing dependable, personalized care that makes both pets and owners feel comfortable and stress-free. I treat every pet like family and take the time to learn their routine, personality, and specific needs. I have experience giving medicine shots, giving pills, and treating any dog or cat of any age with a huge amount of care. I always provide the same level of care and affection that I would want for my own pets. I currently work part-time as a cashier, which has helped me develop strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills. While that is my primary job, I have plenty of free time to dedicate to caring for your furry family members. As a pet owner myself with two pets of my own, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, attentive, and compassionate to care for them. I genuinely love spending time with animals and will treat your pets with the same care, patience, and affection that I give my own. I care for my own pets every day by making sure they have fresh food and water, regular walks, exercise, and plenty of love and attention. I understand the importance of meeting a pet's daily needs to keep them healthy, comfortable, and happy. Providing consistent care has helped me develop strong responsibility and a genuine understanding of what it takes to give dogs and other pets a happy, fulfilling life.

ELLEN WAS FANTASTIC!!! After some bad experiences with friends that did our pet sitting my husband was super against a stranger coming into our house to take care of our furry children. As we just moved to a new state and hadn't made any friends we could even ask, he agreed to give Rover a try. He has very high standards of care and treatment, so this was a big step for him. Together, we looked over the profiles, read reviews and looked at the number of repeat customers the pet sitters had. He was impressed with Ellen, so we set up a meet and greet (m&g). He was still very anxious about leaving the "children" the morning of our m&g and wanted to just cancel our Anniversary cruise instead of taking a chance. After meeting Ellen, he felt SO much better that we completed the booking. He loved getting the updates of her visits, it helped him to relax. When we got home, he looked everything over very carefully and declared the experience a HUGE success! We are already talking with Ellen about setting up the next booking. It is so nice to have someone we can depend on to care for and treat our "children" the way we would. Ellen, I can't thank you enough for providing such peace of mind for my husband so that he can now fully relax and enjoy our vacations!!!

Crystal is awesome! She made time for a meet and greet on short notice, looked for things that needed doing-like refilling and cleaning the dogs water bowl-, and she made sure the dog was comfortable. Crystal also left very detailed notes at each visit and included lots of pictures-one of my favorite parts of the Rover visit. Can’t wait to book her in the future.

Morgan was wonderful! I recently went on a vacation and had to leave my four babies at home—two dogs and two cats. She cared for them exactly as I requested. I have two senior pets who require a little extra time and attention, and she didn’t hesitate to give them the care they needed. My neighbor even told me that Morgan took my dogs to the pet park on the property, even though I never asked her to do that. That extra effort meant so much to me. I was incredibly nervous about leaving my pets with someone I didn’t know, but Morgan immediately put my mind at ease. Knowing they were in such caring and capable hands allowed me to truly enjoy my vacation. I will absolutely choose Morgan again to care for my babies, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bonaire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Bonaire with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bonaire. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
