“Wendy and Dan took wonderful care of my Ivy! They kept me updated with messages and pictures while I was on my trip. They were so loving and patient with her. I will definitely have Ivy stay with them when I travel!”

“Very great service provided for our puppy. Anacelia communicated with us about how Harley’s day was and provided feedback when we picked her up. We will definitely be using her in the future. Thank you”

“Marla and her family did a great job of watching my 2 year Rescue, Blue Heeler / Jack Russel. Their communication was excellent, they sent lots of pictures and their dog was super friendly. They had a big back yard for the dogs to run around in which was really good for my Emma as she loves to run. Thanks again for your excellent service. Chris”
“Kathleen is reliable, nice, and very organized. We appreciate how she looks after our Havanese male. He gets his exercise, treats and cuddles. He’s happy when he sees we are going to see Kathleen.”

“Piper loved staying with Jason and the other furry folks! She is a bit sensitive and Jason quickly made her feel secure and happy and loved. We will bring her back to stay the next time we travel.”

“Olive and her family took excellent care of our dog during our vacation. This was the first time we have left our dog (current or previous) with someone other than family. The experience was first class. I would not hesitate to recommend Olive and we will definitely use her again.”

“Theresa and Kevin were the perfect dog sitters! Our dog got to experience the comfort and loving attention like when she's home, with the added benefit of getting to play with their dogs! Theresa sent photos and videos regularly, so I could see what a great time our dog was having!”

“Our doodle has A LOT of anxiety when she boards at regular dog kennels. She loves to run and rarely has problems on my family’s farm. We were looking for a similar place that would reduce her anxiety while we were on vacation. For the first time in a long time when on vacation we did not have to worry about her. She looked so happy in the photos and videos. We got daily updates on how she was doing with photos and videos. We will be back and we are so happy that they are local in case we are going a quick day trip.”

“Ryan was our 1st experience using Rover, or any boarding service. We have a very large very anxious 3yr old dog, and Ryan made the experience smooth and worry free for myself & my dog. He sent great photos showing how relaxed & happy my dog was while we were away, which my whole family loved to see. Highly recommended using Ryan for any services he offers.”

“I rarely write reviews, but I was compelled to leave one this time as I had a phenomenal experience with Roseanna. She genuinely cares about the animals she takes care of, and I felt confident my dogs were in a safe and happy place under her supervision. She constantly provided pictures and updates, and her house has a big backyard, which is a big plus. Highly recommend her, and I will definitely ask for her care again in the future!”

“Chonlada and her family provided a wonderful stay for our dog who is sixteen years old and has dietary and other special needs. She was treated like she was at a spa retreat. They even knitted her a new sweater!”

“We, including our dog, LOVE Sarah. She was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. We received frequent updates and pictures. We met her before she dogs to make sure our dog was comfortable at her place. Everything went smoothly and we would definitely be using her services again in the future.”

“Excellent, excellent experience. Joe and Bonnie are warm, welcoming true dog-lovers who lavished affection on my Sona and made her feel right at home. I could go on and on about what an exceptional experience this was, but I selfishly want to keep them all to myself! ; )”

“Barbara and James were great hosts for my pup! He had a blast playing on their beautiful property and I got great updates and photos during his stay. I will absolutely reach out to them next time for another booking!”

“Joanne was amazing with our doggo. He tried to go on a hunger strike but she completely got him to eat…he had lots of walks and love!! Would absolutely have him stay with her again!!”

“Lynda is great! I 100% recommend her. This was my first time leaving my dog meatball somewhere else and I was very nervous since he is an anxious and hyperactive dog. Lynda was very patient with meatball and very communicative, she was also great when it came to introducing meatball with other dogs, meatball was so happy when I picked him up and tired (which is good).”

“This was our first time using Rover. We always had a family member watch our dog so we were nervous trusting someone else. Traci and Jeff went out of their way to make our dog feel like part of their family. Pictures were sent twice a day with a brief update. I would not hesitate to use them again. They are good people.”

“Wow! We are so happy that we chose Gabriella to be our dog’s new sitter! Kiko acclimated to her home immediately. He even ate on the first day! We thought he would not have eaten for a few days. Kiko loved his long daily walks in the park! He loved being part of her family! Kiko is looking forward to his next visit!”

If we could leave more than five stars, we would. Jelly was so loved by this wonderful family that I think he would have stayed longer if he had a choice. Communication, dependability, peace of mind—Amanda provided all of that and more. This will be Jelly’s family when we are out of town from now on, no question.

We were in town for a wedding nearby and Anacelia boarded our dog for the weekend in addition to shuttling him to the wedding venue for pictures day-of. Everything went so smoothly and Anacelia was so accommodating and made things seamless for us. Thanks so much! Hubcap says thank you!

Corey was awesome from start to finish. Our dog Piper is shy and does not like to be around other dogs. Piper had a great time playing ball and other activities throughout the week. Communication is a strong point with Corey we received updates and pictures daily. Our dog is 70 pounds and Corey had no issues, as he is knowledgeable with larger dogs. Will contact Corey again

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Blooming Glen home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Blooming Glen.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Blooming Glen sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
