In Pittsburgh, you can start your adventure with dog-friendly patio dining at Grille 36, owned and operated by former Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Jerome Bettis, aka “The Bus,” located in the shadow of the Steelers’ home field, Heinz Stadium.
After you wrap up with a light lunch or happy hour, take your pup on a tour around PNC Park, another home to one of Pittsburgh’s famed sports teams, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Take N Shore Dr to Mazeroski Way, head left and walk around the park. Wrap up the day at Point State Park, where the Alleghany and Monongahela rivers meet to form the Ohio River. You’ll take Mazeroski Way to General Robinson Street, turn right, then make another right onto Federal. There you can cross the famed Roberto Clemente Bridge into Downtown Pittsburgh.
Once you cross the bridge, turn right onto Fort Duquesne Blvd and finish your walk at the park.
