Dog’s Day Out: Los Angeles

If you’re in Los Angeles and looking for the perfect day out with your dog, Rover has you covered. This complete route includes a fabulous dog walk, dog park, pet store and dog-friendly restaurant. Your dog is ready for this! Read on for all the details you need.

Total Distance: 1.2 miles | 23 minutes total walk time

Start your day in Los Angeles in the walkable Santa Monica area. Celebrity hot spot Urth Cafe is the perfect starting point for your day with your dog. Enjoy a healthy breakfast with your pup on their patio. Next up, head to Pacific Street Dog Park by walking north on Main Street.

Keep your dog entertained with a new toy at Animal Kingdom. Head east on Pacific Street and take a left on 3rd Avenue. Once you’ve reached Pico Boulevard your next destination will be on the right.

Finish the day with the ultimate photo opp at Santa Monica Pier. Head left of Pico Boulevard, take a right on Appian Way and the first left to merge onto Ocean Front Walk towards the Santa Monica Pier.

Dog's Day Out: Los Angeles

Urth Caffe

Bustling cafe offering a vast menu of American eats plus a variety of organic coffee drinks.

Pacific Street Dog Park 

Address: 2174 Main Street, Santa Monica

Pacific Street Dog Park features an acre of off-leash area with shaded seats and dog water fountains.

  • Daily, 6am-8:30pm
  • Closes for maintenance on Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am

Why we love it:

This well maintained, clean park attracts dogs (and their owners) from the neighborhood.

Great place to let your dog get out some extra energy while making new friends from the surrounding area.

Animal Kingdom of Santa Monica

Animal Kingdom curates top-quality pet supplies and its staff offers high-quality service.

Santa Monica Pier

Address: 200 Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA 90401

The Santa Monica Pier is a 100-year-old, large double-jointed pier at the foot of Colorado Avenue. Dogs are allowed on leash on the pier but not on the beach.
