In Dallas, start your day at famously dog-friendly pizza parlor Cane Rosso in Deep Ellum. Next, work off your lunch by heading to Bark Park Central, a 1.2-acre, off-leash dog park. Head west on Commerce St toward S Good Latimer Expy and the destination will be on your left. At Bark Park, you’ll definitely want to capture a photo for Instagram with one of the parks various art murals.
To finish out the day, head to My Best Friend’s Park situated in Klyde Warren Park, an urban family- and dog-friendly setting with grassy areas and walking paths. Continue west on Commerce Street and turn right on S Cesar Chavez Blvd. Turn left onto Elm and right onto N Olive, which will head right into Klyde Warren. The dog park area is to the right.

Cane Rosso

Cane Rosso’s pizza is super authentic, featuring fresh, never-frozen dough that’s made in-house every day. Cane Rosso translates to “red dog” in Italian and is known as a spot to dine with your dog. Founder and owner Jay Jerrier’s first dog was a red-haired Hungarian Vizsla, which provided inspiration for the restaurant’s namesake and for Cane Rosso Rescue. Cane Rosso has appeared on The Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” with host Guy Fieri and has received numerous awards and honors.

This urban dog park is in the heart of Deep Ellum with great views of downtown and eclectic artwork. Bark Park Central is a 1.2-acre, off-leash dog park in downtown Dallas.

- The dog park is closed on rainy days and on Tuesdays for maintenance
Why we love it:
This park is in great walking distance to the neighborhood’s dining options, so you can grab a quick bite to eat at a pet-friendly restaurant after walking the park.
There’s also plenty of artwork and murals in the park, making for great photos with your pup.
My Best Friend’s Park

Beautiful downtown urban park built over a sunken freeway. Family- and dog-friendly park has grassy areas, public art, lots of benches to sit on, and food trucks lining one side. There are ample walking paths, however, note that dogs must stay leashed outside of dog park.
