Cane Rosso

Address: 2612 Commerce St, Dallas, TX 75226

Cane Rosso’s pizza is super authentic, featuring fresh, never-frozen dough that’s made in-house every day. Cane Rosso translates to “red dog” in Italian and is known as a spot to dine with your dog. Founder and owner Jay Jerrier’s first dog was a red-haired Hungarian Vizsla, which provided inspiration for the restaurant’s namesake and for Cane Rosso Rescue. Cane Rosso has appeared on The Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” with host Guy Fieri and has received numerous awards and honors.

Why we love it:

Each location’s patio has a different vibe, but the common theme is a lively place for people of all ages and their dogs to hang out over a shared meal.

Bark Park Central

Address: 2530 Commerce St, Dallas, TX 75226

This urban dog park is in the heart of Deep Ellum with great views of downtown and eclectic artwork. Bark Park Central is a 1.2-acre, off-leash dog park in downtown Dallas.

Contact Info: (214) 671-8001

Hours:

  • Monday, Wednesday-Sunday: 6am-11pm
  • The dog park is closed on rainy days and on Tuesdays for maintenance

Why we love it:

This park is in great walking distance to the neighborhood’s dining options, so you can grab a quick bite to eat at a pet-friendly restaurant after walking the park.

There’s also plenty of artwork and murals in the park, making for great photos with your pup.

My Best Friend’s Park

Address: Klyde Warren Park, 2012, Woodall Rodgers Fwy, Dallas, TX 75201

Beautiful downtown urban park built over a sunken freeway. Family- and dog-friendly park has grassy areas, public art, lots of benches to sit on, and food trucks lining one side. There are ample walking paths, however, note that dogs must stay leashed outside of dog park.

Contact Info: (214) 716-4500

Hours:

  • Daily, 6am-11pm

Why we love it:

The off-leash dog area is on the smaller side, but includes water features for cooling off on hot summer days.
