He was also very flexible when we had a flight delay coming home. He definitely treated my pets like his family. I highly recommend and will be using him again!”

6. Emma J.
About: My name is Emma and am a recent law school graduate working in Ithaca. I grew up in Vermont with ducks, goats, sheep, chickens, cats, and dogs. As an adult, I love ANY AND ALL animals! I regularly run and hike (but I'm also not opposed to just vegging out). I regularly care for my parents’ German Sheppards. I have owned dogs that are super social and dogs that do not like other dogs. I feel confident in my ability to handle almost any size dog on a leash. I have experience handling dogs with mobility/spinal injuries, dogs that require in-home rehab such as water therapy, dogs that have issues with incontinence, dogs with anxiety, and more! I look forward to getting to know you and your animals!

7. Gabriela S.
About: I graduated from a Veterinary Technology program at SUNY Delhi in December 2021. I have worked in four different veterinary settings as a daycare assistant, a veterinary assistant and a veterinary technician/nurse as well. As a daycare assistant, I would monitor up to 15 dogs (sometimes by myself) in a controlled daycare facility. I made sure to stay on schedule with letting them all outside to go potty, with feeding, and with giving access to water. I did this all while keeping the place clean and with no with issues. While I worked in the facility itself, I would also go to pet owner's homes for in-home visits for check ups as often as requested by the owner! I have a reliable car and do not mind making several trips in a day to make sure your furbaby is doing okay. As a veterinary assistant and technician, I have hands on experience with both dogs and cats of any age. Personally, I have had only large breed dogs growing up (two Great Pyrenees rescues and now another Great Pyrenees mix) and am very comfortable handling other medium-giant breeds. I have also taken care of senior cats before, showering them with gentle love and pets. I am comfortable with administering any medications as needed and with following any specific instructions that may be requested. I recently graduated from SUNY Cortland with a degree in psychology. I am available for housesitting within the specified range, but I have four pets of my own which need care as well, so I can try to work around their care as needed. I help animals get the proper care they require while their owners are away at work or on vacation. Because my dog can be dog aggressive, I will only be offering in-home visits and overnight services. No care services for pets to stay in my own home. I understand that I would be accountable for your pet's safety and the high level of responsibility that it entails. I offer my services as a trustworthy and experienced animal caretaker who will prioritize your pet's wellbeing as if they were my own. I pay close attention to detail and instructions and have excellent communication skills. I own a reliable cellphone and I can send regular updates about what your furbaby is doing while I am with them. I have a great affinity for understanding animals, and pay close attention for any potential problems that may lead to any harm or injury. I am willing to work outdoors regardless of the weather. I have a valid driver's license and also own a reliable car that can handle harsh weather.

8. Chantal C.
“Chantal loves dogs and animals in general! She is responsible, caring and thoughtful. She takes her work seriously and is always on time. She is a positive and energetic person that will care for your dog as if it were her own.”

9. Megan T.

“Megan was so easy to work with!”

10. Betsy Y.
“Anyone who knows Betsy, knows her love for dogs! She has the kindest caring heart for them. She has spent countless hours finding perfect homes for dogs that need rehoming or returning lost dogs to their rightful owner. Dogs are attracted to her as much as she is to them.”

11. Candyse J.
About: I'm that annoying person on the street who sees you and your dog and has to stop and pet them, ask their age, and name! I currently work from home full time and am available almost always for a quick dog walk or an overnight stay! My schedule is very flexible. I have one large dog, he is half german shepherd and half lab. He has a big bark but never a bite. I also have a neutered fix cat that is indoor/outdoor and very playful. They get a long great and I expect your furry friend to fir right in.

12. Donovan H.

“Donavan is an excellent dog walker. He walked my 13 year olds dog twice a day for over a week and he was very considerate of her. He paid attention to her weaker back legs and adjusted the walks to suit her. He was reliable, flexible and he quick to respond to communications. I highly recommend him and will book him again in the future.”

About: I’ve work with my mom at her dog grooming salon since I was 11. I’ve dog sat for family and family friends for many years. I personally like animals more than people. I work at a dog grooming salon from 9am till when ever the last dog is done. I will be able to leave and check on your pups or even bring them with me to work we have plenty of rooms and cages if they couldn’t play with the other pups. I do bring my cat to work with me so if cats are dog friendly they would be able to come too I have very well trained dogs so they stay in the yard, I do stand outside and watch them. I dog sit for many people and I am more than happy to clean puppy pads, use a leash and walk them or anything necessary

19. Emily S.
About: I'm Emily! I've taken care of a variety of different animals since I was very young, from dogs, cats, lizards, bunnies, chinchillas, guinea pigs etc. I've grown up living with dogs since I was a child so I'm extremely comfortable around many dog breeds big and small. Family, friends, neighbors and coworkers have relied on me for years to watch over, care for, walk, feed etc. their pets. I have lots of experience with big dogs and am really comfortable walking them, I grew up with 2 rottweilers and a great pyrenees so I'm used to a big dog on a leash. I am currently a college student with a light open schedule so I will be able to fit your needs pretty much however you need. I would make sure your pets safety is my number one priority and my second priority would be to make sure your furry friend is enjoying their time! We would play a bunch of games, go on walks (I have multiple woodsy paths near my home).

20. Alexis H.
About: For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for caring for animals. I have had animals my entire life including dogs, cats and other small animals. I now have 4 years experience working professionally with dogs. I have worked at 2 different dog daycares. The first was training based where I got experience training basic obedience on top of having continued education in dog behavior and dog body language. The second daycare also did boarding which gave me even more experience in dog handling, preparing food, administering medication and taking care of up to 50 dogs at a time. Unfortunately I am only able to do pet sitting and dog walking a few days a week, however most of those days would be weekends Dogs need lots of exercise and enrichment, I’d love to help you with that! Either by a walk through town on a nice day or some enrichment and playtime at your home!
