“We hired Emily to do a few drop in visits of our 3 dogs while we gone for a day. She was awesome and took such great care of them! The pictures we received were precious. Thank you Emily for watching our pups!”

“Angela has sat for us a few times now and she’s been absolutely wonderful! She keeps us informed and updated, and very good at communicating with us. The animals seem to really enjoy her, glad to have someone we can trust with our fur baby’s while we are away.”

“Trenton provided check ins for my dog when we were gone overnight. We did a meet and greet first, and he was great with her. He sent pictures and let me know if she peed/pooped/ ate. I really appreciated the picture of the locked back door each time too. I will rebook with him if I need to.”

“We had a wonderful experience. He took such thoughtful care of our dog and was incredibly flexible when our timing shifted. He also handled a little accident with complete kindness, which meant a lot to us. Our dogs were happy, calm, and clearly well loved. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had animals all of my life from when I was living out in the countryside having horses, dogs and cats until I moved to the outskirts of town having dogs and cats along with rabbits and a breaded dragon. I have volunteered with my local animal shelter and have actually worked there as well I am searching for a job at this time, so I am open anytime anyone needs me. I am a little introverted, so this is one of the ways that I am trying to get out and work on not being so introverted. I can't do boarding at my home because I have two rescue dogs (a Great Pyrenees and a German Shepard) who aren't socialized and aren't very friendly (more so the Great Pyrenees named Hank) but I can do overnights and drop-ins at the client's home. All the animals that I have had throughout my life have been rescues
“Felicia was great to work with! She was flexible with my schedule changes and extremely accommodating and caring for our dog we just adopted from a rescue. I will definitely have her come check in on our pets again. I enjoy getting the pictures and updates from her.”

“This was our first time with a new pet sitter here in WA and it was really lovely to get home and find all our babies restful and relaxed. She took care of all their needs (we have 4 senior babies) and even checked off the list I left for her! She updated me with texts too which was really nice. Thank you Ronda!”

I am currently going to school to be a vet technician and I volunteer at the animal shelter in the cat and dog rooms. I have experience handling all different types and sizes of dogs. Im a college student and currently working part-time in the late afternoons. So I have plenty of time to walk, play and give potty breaks! I have a fenced yard suitable for small to medium dogs. I have a large room that I can close off that has tile flooring and access to the backyard and also have pens if dogs need to be separated.
About: I have many dogs and I've raised them since they were puppies. I can bathe dogs. give them lots of love. I also love cats. I am very flexible with my schedule, and can provide any times you need! I am fine with mornings, evenings, or even late at night! I can easily create comfort for a dog or cat as I am very loving. I am a responsible person. I have no criminal record or have gotten into trouble.
About: All my life, I’ve grown up around animals — cats, dogs, chickens, fish, and more — so caring for pets comes naturally to me. I also studied Animal Science for two years before switching career paths, and I’m currently a registered nurse which means I bring patience, responsibility, and attention to detail to everything I do. I currently live at home with my parents, my mini Aussie, and three cats, so animals are a big part of my daily life. My love and passion for animals has never changed, and I’m committed to making every pet feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I work part time at a coffee stand and currently seeking a new graduate nursing job. During this time of searching for a job, it gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m home most of the day, so I have plenty of time to focus on walks, playtime, and giving pets the attention they need. It’s easy for me to fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine, and I love having animals be a part of my day. I don’t offer care in my own home, but I’m very comfortable caring for pets in my clients’ homes. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible — feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their own environment, and I treat every home with respect and professionalism. My goal is to keep pets happy and stress-free while their owners are away!
“Qing is very organized, thorough and detail oriented! I had a family emergency and Qing is always the first and the best option I would consider for my cat who takes some time to warm up with strangers. Qing gave my cat the meds he needed and sent detailed notes with great updates. Highly recommend! I will only choose her to care for my pets! Ethan & Andy”

I’m good with both both cats and dogs. Im currently working part time, I don’t think pet sitting is a job it’s so fun to do so I would love it as a side job. I’m also getting my masters in biomedical sciences right now My pets have access to every inch of the house and are well cared for, toys, scratch post and many treats! I love playing with them, taking them outside, feeding and can also clean litter boxes
“Dylan was a life saver! We had to scramble for last minute plans and Dylan did a drop in for us while we were out of town. I got lots of pictures and can tell my two cats were loved on.”

I understand that every pet has their own needs, habits, and comfort level, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and sitting around my work schedule, including weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to communicate about specific schedules and make sure I can provide your pet with the time and attention they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m respectful of your home and will carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, routines, and anything else your pet needs. You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
