About: Hello all! I grew up on a cattle ranch with all sorts of animals around, all the time. I've raised / fostered / adopted dogs & cats of all sizes and breeds. I moved to Blaine, WA in July 2020 from Orcas Island, WA - and we live 5 minutes from the beach. Beach day, all day! I was certified as a therapy dog trainer in Oregon in 2009 and have carried techniques and skills learned there through my entire adult life. I can offer tips and tricks for training certain behaviors, if that is something you need support in! I can't imagine what life would be like without our fur family and I can ensure your fluffy buddies will be treated as family as well in my care. Have a whole farm? We can chat about a budget that works for you! Even farm owners deserve to take a vacation once in a while! :) Located in Canada? We can make arrangements for border travel, no problem! While currently on a hiatus from fostering, I serve as a behavioral rehab support to multiple rescues that serve Whatcom county. If you have a question on behaviors or something you’re struggling with with your dog - I’m happy to brainstorm and offer options to help! I work from home part time during the week. My weekends are free 100%. I also can bring dogs along in my truck (in the cab) and potty/walk them throughout the day. If we go on an adventure, your fur baby will ride in the back of my car with the climate controlled depending on the weather. They can be transported with or without a crate as well. Our yard is fully fenced with 6 ft no climb wire fencing. The yard is separated into 3 sections, to allow space and time for introductions. No dog is left outside without a human supervising. Crates are available upon request (so you don't have to pack yours up!), and the house can be divided 3 ways to allow for space and time as needed. Wherever your dog is most comfortable is where your dog will sleep (even if it's in our bed or on the couch!). PLEASE NOTE: We have our own pack of SIX (6) dogs (see below). I make sure to allow for proper introductions to any new pet on site. This means that for meet & greets and for pickups/dropoffs, our home may sound a little like a ZOO! And, if you’d like to meet everyone that’s onsite - plan to allow plenty of time for the interaction (and let me know ahead of time so I can plan my time as well!) I can assure you that we maintain safety above all else & are happy to accommodate preferred practices for your canine.

“Hannah looked after our 18 yr old Siamese cat for a week and did a fabulous job. She gave us daily updates and sent pictures. So nice to know our pet was in good hands with someone who loves cats! I would highly recommend her!”

“Jamie was a tremendous help when I found myself in a unique situation that seemed to be confusing for some pet-sitters. Jamie was open-minded, willing to accommodate (booked drop-ins only for several weeks), compassionate, took excellent care of my cats & home, always responded to messages quickly, followed instructions, and overall just very easy to work with. I will definitely book Jamie again, the cats also grew really fond of her & hope to see her again soon!”

About: Me caring for dogs on Rover is purely for the love of it. I’ve never owned a dog but I’ve always taken care of my friend’s pets and this is my way of spending time with them and giving them the love they deserve. I work an office 8-4, but I’m always free in the evenings and weekends and can be flexible with timings. Just let me know what works for you and we can make it work! I live on the first floor of a new apartment building in south surrey and have a nice yard with grass for your dog to get some fresh air. My home also doesn’t have any carpet in the area that dog would spend time in. My house is clutter free and would be a comfortable space for your dog. I also have a dog park a 2 minute walk from my home, where I can give your dog some great exercise!

About: With nearly five years of experience in raising and training dogs, I am dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where your furry friend can thrive and express their true selves. My journey began with raising a puppy, which taught me the importance of positive reinforcement in dog training. I firmly believe in using force-free methods, as I do not support balanced or negative training techniques. I also enjoy engaging your pup in mental enrichment games, ensuring they stay entertained and stimulated. This way, you can focus on your work without feeling guilty when they gaze at you with those big, adorable eyes! Let’s create a fulfilling experience for your dog together! As a full-time remote worker, I have the flexibility to integrate pet care seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. Since I work from home, I am almost always available to provide attention and care to your pet. This setup allows me to offer a stable and consistent environment, ensuring your pet feels comfortable and secure. While I am generally available, I appreciate a couple of days' notice to ensure I can make any necessary arrangements to accommodate your pet's needs. Whether it's a regular visit or an extended stay, I am committed to making sure your pet receives the attention and love they deserve. I live in an apartment with a fairly big yard. Dogs are allowed on furniture, bed. It's pretty much their home as much as it is mine. I do have playpens if you'd like me to restrict access. I have a lot of experience training puppies, reactive dogs and your dog will be in safe hands while you're away.

About: Growing up with a Husky, he taught me how wild dogs can be, but also showed me dogs truly are a man's best friend. 3 years ago, the newest addition to the family was an aggressive German Shepard- working and training with him has strengthened my skills and confidence with dogs and really showed me what dog loyalty is. I enjoy meeting new furry friends and helping out busy people in my community! On my down time, when I am not working, I enjoy taking care of furry friends and getting to explore new parts of town. When I accept a dog sit, I usually will be able to be with your animal the entire time. I currently do not offer pet care at my home. However, I am more than happy to come to your home and give your pet all the care it requires.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I have been in the 4-H Program since I was nine years old, in which I learned how to train and compete in obedience competition's with my own dog, and others' dogs as well. Coming from a farming family, I have experience caring for all kinds of pets, such as dogs, cats, rabbits, and even sheep. I'm happy to help out however possible! I am a full-time student, so my schedule is relatively flexible. When I'm not attending my classes at university, I am fully available to help out. I will make sure to keep your pets happy and comfortable. I won't leave pets unsupervised and I will ensure that their needs are met.

“Samantha was awesome! We felt very comfortable with Samantha coming into our home and it provided us with great peace of mind to have her look after our cat. We hope to engage her again in the future and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter. She’s the best!”

“Destini did a wonderful job with our 5 cockatiels, sending me detailed notes on their escapades and pictures that assured me my little sweeties were doing well while I was on the other side of the country. Destini even found the car key my son accidently dropped outside the door, and returned it to us. Overall, a great job, and I highly recommend her.”

“We had a great meet and greet with Sheridan and Wendy with Miss Daisy. She was very relaxed with them during the meet/greet. They both answered all our doggie questions. We had our first visit last night. Sheridan and Wendy put us at complete ease about leaving Daisy. They gave us sweet updates and photos which made us laugh and know that she was in good, caring hands. Daisy was happy to see them and frankly didn't miss us at all. She even wondered "where did they go" after they left!!!! So pleased that we have found Sheridan and Wendy and will be booking again.”

I would highly recommend Vanessa, I know I plan to rehire her again to watch my cat on my next trip out of town.”

About: I have grown up around dogs and have loved dogs since I was born- I even rescued my own puppy from the highway this past year! In college I dog walked a puppy 3 times a week and grew super close to her (and miss her everyday!). Your animal and I will become BFFs instantly. I work M-Th 6-4pm so I can only do drop-in visits or walks T/Th after 4:30 pm or on the weekends. That is the ideal time for you to take a break, run some errands, and let me love on your pup/kitty! I care for animals with the understanding that they are just that- animals. We work on behavior by improving each time and acting with love and grace. Now I can get stern when I need to, but my first thought is always 'how can puppy learn from this?'.

“Hayley's been great with Maple, patient with her "puppy" ways! We love getting her confirmation "cards" with a report, pic and times just to reassure us our family "baby" is getting out and cared for during the day.”
