“Lauren did a great job handling our 3.5 yr old pug. She has a limp from a recent injury and Lauren was great, playing with her inside rather than doing a full walk which the vet told us not to do for a while. Additionally, she did everything we asked to a T, when the request was last minute. Thank you so much Lauren!”

“Suzanne is reliable and a great dog walker. My dog looks forward to seeing her, and they have great little adventures through the neighborhood. Hope she can continue to walk him weekly for a long time!!”

About: I’ve never owned a dog myself, but I’ve lived with roommates who have and consider my brother’s dog to be one of mine. 😎 I’ve been the go-to dog sitter for other friends of mine for years and I’ve always loved spending time with dogs. I am currently working a part time job, mostly on weekend mornings, and I’m looking to do as many walks as I can throughout the week - Tuesday-Thursday is usually the best, but can typically find a way to make other days work I am not planning on having dogs at my place, but my apartment does have a dog park right outside my building. In terms of visiting other homes, I will always keep a close eye on dogs and make sure to follow whatever rules are in place.

“Kara has walked my dogs several times and I highly recommend her. She’s always on time, texts me ahead of time as a reminder and walks them for the full expected time. My dogs absolutely love her and are very excited when she comes over.”

“Easily managed our large heavy puller on a walk. Reacted well and without fear or uncertainty when there was an altercation at the door between our two dogs. Very pleased.”

About: Hi! I'm David. I grew up in Michigan surrounded by dogs and farm animals. Labrador Retrievers were the family favorite, however, I rescued a Basset Hound Mix during the pandemic. One of my college jobs was working at a doggy daycare center. I was quickly promoted to manager and ended up rolling out a marketing plan for the business. It was a blast! I live in Metro Detroit (Oak Park) and am currently "funemployed" which means I have all the time in the world to take care of your furry companions! I take pride in my ability to be patient, gentle, responsible, and fun with all kinds of dogs, sizes, and ages. I have vast and diverse experience taking care of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, horses, and birds. During college, I volunteered at various humane societies and frequently dog sat for friends and relatives. I was also instrumental in co-training a Golden Retriever to be a service dog. That was a highly rewarding experience. My approach to dog care is to start with the owner and get to know the dog through their eyes. I then channel that love and devotion to esteemed care, ensuring that walks are done frequently, food is out at a responsible time, and that enough attention is spent with the dog. I'm an outdoors guy and walk whenever I get the chance, so rest assured that your dog will get a healthy amount of outside time. If you've made it this far and like what you've read, let's schedule a meet-and-greet! I take my pup for walks at least four times a day, and let her roam free in my fenced in backyard. I provide attention and care throughout the day! I'm very respectful not only of my client's pets, but also their homes. I'm very trustworthy and neat/tidy. I've dog sat in many homes both for the day and overnight. I treat other people's property as if it were my own.

“Excited to have found Katie on Rover! Layla loves her habits so we really appreciate that Katie could come feed & walk her on our normal schedule. I came home to a fed & happy fur baby.”

About: Hi, I’m Caitlin and I’m 30. I’m currently an engineer working from home. In my free time I would love to help out you and your dog! I know how busy life can get. I'll be more than happy to come stay at your house and keep your pets company. I'm also willing to feed other animals if you have them, and take care of the house. I'm also available for holidays or special circumstances, so don't hesitate to reach out. I'm excited to walk or even run with your dog! We will have a great time. I have experience with dogs after all types of surgery, dogs with seizures, and various medication. I'm willing to help out recovering dogs and any dogs that need special care. I'm also personal friends with my vet, so if there is an emergency, I can call him anytime. My days and schedules vary, so I can be flexible to fit your schedule as well! I can let out your dogs during lunchtime for the longer days or work, or even dinner time for the fun nights out. Let’s chat about what you need. I am familiar with crate training and also dogs that are allowed to roam the house. I’m flexible with all dogs needs, whether that means medication, endless playtime, or a blanket at night. I can handle big and small dogs confidently.

About: Hello, my name is Lauren. I am a pediatric speech and language pathologist looking for a side job that also includes my second passion (animals.) My mother is a vet and I’ve been raised around all breeds/sizes. I currently have one cat named Scout. I am flexible and always patient with animals. I have my own harnesses and leashes if necessary. I enjoy working with all animals and will care for your pets like they are my own fur babies (because I truly know how important and special they are.) If there’s anything you’d like to know about me or questions/concerns regarding your pets do not hesitate to reach out to me. I look forward to meeting you and your loved ones! I currently work full time in a school setting, 8am - 5pm, and have weekends off. During the summer months I am available every day. I am flexible with staying at your home and will treat it as my own. I am able to follow any instructions you may provide.

About: I bring not just experience, but heartfelt understanding. I currently have two young, energetic dogs and had the privilege of loving my previous senior dog. That journey taught me the full spectrum of pet care-from playful puppyhood to the tender needs of aging companions. I work full-time in healthcare, mostly from home. With an internet connection I can work almost anywhere. My dogs are rarely left at home for more than a few hours and never left alone overnight. I give that same time and energy to your pets. I will follow whatever guidelines you prefer within your home. Whether that’s crating, sleeping on the bed, or their own special bed. I take frequent walks (if desired) and do not leave pets outside unattended.

“Audrey I can’t thank you enough for taking care of brady! She took him for a nice long walk, was patient with his nervousness, and sent lots of pics to update me along the way. So grateful to have found you on Rover!”

About: Hello! I can't wait to provide exceptional care to your furry family. I have been working in the professional pet care field for over 5 years and have lots of experience with animals of all temperaments, energy levels and needs! I was a manager/ supervisor of two dog daycares in Colorado which gave me a vast understanding of dog behavior in general as well as that of different breeds. This also gave me experience in caring for elderly dogs and administering oral and topical medications. I have also volunteered for shelters working with fearful and high arousal dogs using patience and treats in order to allow their personalities blossom! In my pet sitting career I have safely worked with dogs who are both dog and human reactive, as well as those with high prey drive. I am always happy to accommodate whatever your pet needs, whether they are a little nervous, highly active, or just need someone to give them lots of love. I will make sure your pets are always safe, happy, and enriched before you come home! I currently work Mondays and Tuesdays in 6-7 hour shifts at the Detroit Zoo. All other days I will mostly be available for 24 hour care It is very important to me that your pets are safe, comfortable and have everything they need while in my care. I know that every animal is an individual and make a point to tailor my services to your pets needs
