About: I’ve been around/ raising animals my whole life . I currently own 2 dogs and a Leopard Gecko. I have previous experience working for Keys & Collars down in Florida where i worked full time as a pet sitter before relocating back to NY! I’m currently available any time M-F. Weekends are also pretty flexible as well. I may pick up a part-time job in the future but that still leaves me plenty of time to play with your furbabies! I like to usually ask clients to either meet with me before service so I can see their routine or leave a detailed list. I can crate dogs if owner likes , leash walks are fine, backyard access if client has that available. I will always fill water bowls. Feeding if client wishes so etc…

Elizabeth has sat for our pets twice now & we will definitely use her services again. She keeps us updated throughout the stay with pictures & comments on how our pets are doing. Our dog, Molly loves the walks she gets with Elizabeth. Thanks again Elizabeth! Hugs from Molly & Tuffy, and even Mocha.

Danielle did a good job. She followed all the instructions I left and it seems she gave Katie a little extra love. I would most certainly have her watch Katie again in the future.

About: Animals (especially dogs!) are my greatest passion in life. I have two dogs of my own that I’ve raised since they were 8 weeks old. They are my entire world! I am knowledgeable in basic dog training and obedience, and very observant and understanding of animal behavior. Nothing brings me more joy and happiness in life than being surrounded by the love and purity of animals. My dream in life is to open a sanctuary for stray dogs. I recently rescued a stray puppy in Puerto Rico and found her a forever loving home in the states, many more rescuing to come! I currently have open availability. I have a very flexible and adaptable schedule and I am open to what works best for you and your pets needs! I love hanging out with your pups and providing them with quality, love and care while you are away! I am a perfectionist and I give out the same level of thorough care that I would want for my own dogs! I tailor my visits according to you and your pups needs, whether that be a nice long walk, fresh food and water, play time or just companionship. I constantly monitor for potential hazards and act accordingly in order to limit any risks.

Kylie watched my two dogs for a week while we were away and we couldn’t be happier. They are not used to being left with others and not the fondest of new people but they warmed up to her so quickly and had a great time while we were away. Already planning on using her again, thanks so much!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was about 8 years old. I love animals of all kinds and as a pet owner know how important pets are to the family and how stressful it can be when being away from them! I work remotely full time 7:30-3:00pm (End of August-mid June). I have time for short breaks/walks for pets during these working hours and evenings after work for lots of play time, walks, etc. I will follow your schedule and routines as you would if you were home with your pets to the best of my ability. I like to know what your typical schedule and pets needs are.

Brooklin was wonderful. She stayed with both of my dogs for four days and did an excellent job. The house was kept as it was left, the dogs were happy the whole time. While she was there my cleaning lady came and specifically texted me that she was so polite and caring and wonderful with the animals. I will be using her again!

About: For nearly 20years I’ve been caring for animals of all types. I have experience with Dogs, Cats, Rodents, Reptiles, and just about everything in between. Family, Friends, Neighbors, Co-Workers and Clients have relied on me to care for their furry family members & I’ve had furry family members of my own my whole life. I have worked with all ages and sizes, and am comfortable with pets with disabilities or medical needs. For the past 16years I’ve cared for people with disabilities as a Direct Support Professional. I am currently doing that as a part-time night shift, so I am available most days and eves, during the week and on weekends! I have loved many forms of my own pets and understand the importance of safety and trust that comes with caring for another’s loved one. I currently plan to do pet walking, play dates, and sitting in your home. May consider overnight stays. May consider boarding on case by case basis. Always open for requests, and again, will consider on a case by case basis.

About: I truly love animals and treat every pet like part of the family. I’ve volunteered at an animal shelter and have cared for dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, reptiles, bunnies, and pets that require medication. Since I work remotely, I’m able to give your pet lots of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I’ll send you as many pics as you’d like :) Since I work remotely, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. Walks are already a regular part of my schedule, and I’m available throughout the day for feeding, playtime, cuddles, and plenty of attention. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and any special instructions. Whether they’re in my home or theirs, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for, with plenty of attention and updates for their owner!

Robert was an outstanding sitter. Our dog seemed to love him. He spent lots of time with her, walked her, and sent us many photos. He also took good care of our home — despite a complete power outage in our neighborhood for 24 of the 48 hours he was at our home. When the ice in the freezer melted and leaked from the freezer, he took the initiative to clean it up and make sure it didn’t become a bigger problem damaging the wood floors.

David was wonderful with our anxious dog while we were away at a wedding. So good in fact that she appeared to lose her anxiety issues all together. He is clearly very experienced with animals and they are very receptive to him. He knew exactly how to work with her to lower her anxiety levels throughout a long stay. We are so grateful to have found someone like him for our dog!

About: Large dominant dog experience. Drop in visits and walks during the week available at this time. New puppies to seniors and special needs that need some love. Early morning and late day drop ins and walks. I work mid shift with flexible hours. Looking to help with short potty breaks before pet parents can get home from out of town. We use crates but understand it's not necessary for all dogs at home. I need to know the client's local veterinarian in case of emergency and if the dogs know basic obedience when coming to your home.

FAQs for House Sitting - Binghamton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Binghamton on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 104 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Binghamton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Binghamton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Binghamton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Binghamton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
