“Neil always showed up on time to feed and play with my cats -- he communicated every time, was availble for a quick chat when I needed it, and left the house spotless. He went above and beyond and I highly recommend him!”

“Sherrie was terrific with my cat Maynard. She played with him every visit and sent me photos and updated me on how he was doing. I will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Erin is absolutely wonderful. She was so kind and patient with our cat and went above and beyond to communicate with us while we were away. We are so grateful to have found her and highly recommend her services!!”

“Andrea was great! This was my first time ever using a sitter for my cats and was a little stressed about it. She was kind, professional, and thorough during our meet and greet and my typically hesitant kitties took to her right away. Arrived every day on time and took care of all I requested and then some. Very happy with the experience and I'm already booking her for my next trip out of town.”

“Savannah has been an actual life saver! Keeping my girls well looked after when we got stuck outside of town after Helene, and helping my heart feel safe while I couldn't get back to them. I can't be more thankful for Savannah !!!”

“I am so happy we booked with Sarah! Not only was she timely and responsible, but she was a great fit for Piper! She sent several pictures during each visit and gave a thorough update every time. It was clear she spent lots of time time playing with Piper - she didn’t just feed her and leave. She also watered some of our plants. We are so thankful for Sarah and plan to book with her again!”

“Chloe was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of our boys - making sure they were fed, giving treats, scooping the litter, and even bringing in our mail without being asked. That extra thoughtfulness meant so much. Most impressively, she got our shy cat Fred to come out of hiding, which is no small feat! We felt totally at ease knowing our pets and home were in such caring hands. Highly recommend!”

“Devin was phenomenal. She was super flexible with us when our travel plans were upended due to the airline crowdstrike issue. She sent us detailed (and funny!) updates on every visit with Paul and a nice batch of photos each time. She really went above and beyond with his care. We will absolutely plan to have her take care of Paul again! She earned his trust super quickly - we could tell in the photos how happy he was to be with her.”

About: My standard rates apply for most bookings, including multi-pet households. However, for longer stays (typically 7+ days) with 4 or more animals, I’m open to discussing custom pricing. I want to make sure you’re covered while keeping things fair for both of us—feel free to message me and we can talk details if it’s an extended visit! I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 15 years, starting in a multi-pet household and continuing as a trusted sitter for friends, family, and neighbors. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and temperaments, and I have experience administering medications—both oral and topical. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, mealtime, or snuggles, I adapt to each pet’s unique needs and routines. I treat every animal like my own and strive to make them feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away I’m currently in between jobs, so I have open availability through early August—including weekdays, weekends, and even short-notice bookings. Once my new job starts, I’ll still be available most weekday evenings and weekends unless I’m out of town. I do this because I genuinely love animals—pet sitting doesn’t feel like work to me. It’s something I truly enjoy, and it’s always rewarding to spend time with animals, care for them, and earn their trust. I’m most comfortable house sitting in your pet’s familiar environment—it’s usually less stressful for them, and I love making sure they stay relaxed and happy while you’re away. I’m great with cats and dogs alike, and I have lots of experience managing routines, giving meds, and keeping things tidy. I do have one friendly dog at home, and while I can host in emergencies, I typically prefer to care for your pets in their own space so they feel safe and settled. Your pet’s comfort and your peace of mind are always my priority.

About: For eight years, I volunteered with the Wake County Animal Center in Raleigh, NC, where I fostered 60 dogs—from newborn puppies to senior dogs and every age and personality in between. While I’m not a certified dog trainer, I’ve worked with pups who had anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding, medical needs, and even deafness (I taught one dog 15 different signs!). I’ve handled recovery care after surgery, heartworm treatment, skin and eye issues, potty training, and medication routines that required attention multiple times a day. I feel confident and comfortable with any dog—big or small, shy or hyper, special needs or seniors. I haven’t had to give injectable medication before, but I’m completely comfortable learning and have no hesitation. I work part-time as an assistant for a local Asheville artist. I’m often able to adjust my hours around your pet’s needs, especially for midday walks, extended stays, or regular check-ins. Pet care isn’t just something I fit into my day—it’s a huge part of what makes me feel grounded, happy, and fulfilled. I haven’t fostered since moving to Asheville, and working with dogs again is a way I’m reconnecting with that part of myself. I share custody of three senior dogs—now 14, 13, and 12—and they’ve been with me most of their lives. My 13-year-old tripod, a boxer-hound mix, lives with me full-time and is my best friend. Because of him, I’m especially tuned into the needs of older or special-needs pets. At home, I live in an apartment with three private dog parks on the property. They’re usually empty, which gives us a safe place to play, run, or just sniff around. For boarding, your dog will need to meet mine first to ensure everyone vibes well together. In your home, I always do a meet & greet beforehand to get to know your pet and their environment, plus give you a chance to get to know me. Through my years of volunteering at a busy municipal shelter, I’ve developed a strong ability to read dog body language—whether that means giving space to a nervous dog, redirecting rough play, or stepping in safely if a situation escalates. I also know how to interrupt and break up dog fights safely, though I do everything possible to prevent them from happening in the first place! Your pet’s comfort and safety, and mine, are my top priorities- wherever we are.

“Very responsive and caring sitter. Keana was very flexible working around her own problems (car crash!) to make sure Rayla was taken care of. I would definitely be using her services again!”

Megan S.
“We are incredibly grateful to have met Megan over eight years ago, during a time when she was fostering three adorable puppies she had lovingly rescued from the local shelter. We adopted the two brother pups, and my manager adopted their sister—all thanks to Megan's dedication and compassion for dogs in need. Megan has rescued and fostered countless dogs over the years, giving each one a second chance at life. Her unwavering commitment to these animals—many of whom came from heartbreaking situations—is nothing short of inspiring. She gives them love, safety, and hope when they need it most, preparing them for the forever homes they deserve. Our pups, now grown and thriving, are a daily reminder of Megan's incredible impact. We are forever thankful for the joy they’ve brought to our lives and for Megan’s selfless heart. She is a true hero in the lives of so many dogs—and the families who are lucky enough to adopt them. Thank you, Megan, for everything you do.”

Biltmore Forest cat parents share their Rover experiences
Chloe was awesome and very patient while building trust with Casper, who can be intimidating at first, until he learns a sitter is there to feed him. This was a long booking (10 days), and Chloe was consistent and dependable all the way through! She took care of animals and plants, so all the living things I left behind stayed healthy.
