About: I’ve had experience caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember and genuinely love being around animals. I’ve cared for my own dog for the past 8 years, and I also currently have another 2 year old dog and a cat I’ve had for about 5 years. Through caring for my pets, I’ve gained hands on experience with daily routines, exercise, feeding, companionship, and providing attentive, loving care. My schedule is very flexible as i work from home, which allows me to be highly available for pet care. I’m committed to providing attentive, reliable care and treating your pets with the same love and attention I give my own pets. I treat every animal with the same care and attention I give to my own pets, always prioritizing their safety, comfort, and their well being.
About: I’ve only had dogs and cats growing up and I’ve taken care of other family member and neighbors animals, including giving medications bathing and cleaning and making sure that they get a stretch those little legs I do work throughout the week, but I have a very flexible job that makes it so I can leave at really any time to go check on animals or let them out. My job is very flexible so I can have flexible hours for what works for you. I do have a yard at my place. I do not have any current pets. My last cat just recently passed, but I have plenty of room for your fur baby to enjoy and be taken care of and make sure that they are comfortable and their own fur.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I have watched all my friends and families dogs. I love taking them on walks and playing with them!! I’m currently a full time student at MSU while also being on the track and field team. I have time in between classes and practice to go check on the dog as well as evenings. I am also available on the weekends!! I am able to keep/crate at my apartment for a few days as well as house sit. While the dog would be here at my apartment I would provide a warm, loving, and welcoming environment. I am able to take the dog to parks to get all it’s energy out!!
“We've got some dogs that aren't accustomed to strangers. Clayton knew exactly how to respond to them and they were snoozing on the floor very quickly at our meet and greet. Highly recommend!!”

“This was the 2nd time we've asked Kyla to watch after our cat Winston while we were gone. Just like the first time she did an excellent job. We came home to a clean litter box and a happy cat! We even has some wrenches we threw into her scheduled drop ins with fanily staying at our house of and on and Kyla was very flexible. Thanks Kyla!”

“Livi is amazing!!! Her love of dogs is apparent - she arrived every day right on time and took the cutest pics of my pup. I had complete peace of mine and will definitely be thrilled to have her watch Dozer again.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs all of my life, and have often pet sat for dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have two pups of my own that love to play or snuggle the day away. My home has a doggy door and fenced yard so dogs are allowed access outside at all times, but can still come inside anytime they want. I live near a park, and take my dogs (a yellow lab and dachshund) on a walk around it every afternoon. I am here to make sure your dog is comfortable and happy during their stay. If your dog prefers to be crated, I have a separate room for them to have their own space. If your dog prefers to sleep near people I’ve got you covered too! I love getting to know your pet!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life. I grew up around small chihuahuas and Pomeranians and have a special place in my heart for them. However my love of dogs extends to the big guys too. Hire me and I guarantee your best friend will find a friend in me. I’m currently working full time but I only work 4 days a weeks. so I have plenty of time to hang out with your pups Monday - Wednesday. I can easily work out a schedule that works for you. I have much respect for your pet and your home. We can work out specifics for overnight stays to best accommodate your pets needs and yours.
“Samantha’s taken care of my cats multiple times, and has always done an excellent job! I recently moved in with my partner, who also has two cats (one who requires a shot of insulin twice a day), and did an amazing job taking care of all them. She’s communicative, reliable, friendly, and responsible - all of the cats love her. I highly recommend booking with Samantha!”

Bailey was great! We needed someone to watch our 2 goldens on very short notice and she was able to drop in a few times a day while we were out. She’s very attentive, sends lots of pictures and updates, and isn’t afraid of some crazy puppies 😅 thank you again!

Jenna is awesome. Just did another trip and my Gemma was so much happier when I picked her up from boarding. Jenna’s pictures of their daily time together make me feel less guilty because she looks like she is happy. Looking forward to their next time together!!!! Thanks Jenna

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
