“My wife and I had the opportunity to take a 3 1/2 week trip out of the country. We weren’t sure what to do with our fur babies because it was too long to put either of them in a kennel. About: I had three miniature dachshunds until they all eventually passed away from old age. I treated them as if they were children. I am very in tune with an animal’s needs and emotions. Animals that I have never met before, usually take to me right away. When I cared for my father-in-law’s dog for two weeks, he did not want to return home with him….lol. I hate to see any animal suffer or be in danger. I go as far to remove turtles from the road so that they do not get hit and I have tried to save numerous injured birds in the wild. Animals, especially, dogs, provide so much unconditional love. I am a retired law enforcement officer. Thus, I have a lot of availability. I am available Sunday-Saturday 24 hours as long as I am provided at least a short notice. I have a fenced in back yard that I always ensure is securely locked at all times. I would pet proof home ensure no medications or cleaning products, etc are accessible to pets. Also, I would only feed what the owner wanted the pet to be fed.

She even took Milo to the vet since nobody else could take him and began administering his meds. I struck gold with Elizabeth who went above and beyond to gain their trust and take care of them.
