“Lynette was great with our two dogs. We have struggled with reliable sitters in the past and are very happy to have found Lynette. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Ria does a great job taking care of my pet cat. I know I can count on her to be there every day she is scheduled and give me an update on how my cat is doing. I will continue to use her whenever I need a drop-in visit or another type of pet sitting. I would certainly recommend her.”

About: Hi! 🐶 My name is Chloe, and I come from a family of dog and cat lovers. I have a lifelong love for animals and a dream of one day owning or working for a wildlife rehabilitation center. I want to give you peace of mind by ensuring that your fur baby's needs are met with care and compassion every time that you are away. If you own birds, reptiles, insects, or small mammals I'd be more than happy to care for them as well! -Volunteer experience - Big Bear Alpine Zoo, Big Bear, CA HALO Animal Rescue, Glendale, AZ I'm currently in between jobs and have full availability until further notice. 😊 My partner and I share a car for now, so that is the only thing I may need to work around. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I monitor pets closely, keep doors and gates secured, and only use leashes outdoors. I follow all owner instructions regarding diet, medication, and routines. I maintain a clean environment with access to fresh water and a quiet resting area. I will never bring pets into crowded or unsafe environments. I respect my clients’ homes and privacy when providing in-home care. Communication is important to me, so I provide updates and photos throughout the stay or visit.

About: Since I was born there was always a dog in the house. I have grown up with dogs wether they were mine or my other relatives. I have grown such love for not only dogs but other animals as well. I have had bunnies to hamsters to fishes all throughout my life! I just recently moved to the area and while I search for employment, I would love to walk your dogs🥰 I love animals so I thought this would be perfect for me! I do not currently plan to house others animals at my home because I do have two fur babies of my own. I do have a full backyard that is all fenced it though.

“Shina was just wonderful with our 2 cats who immediately went up to her which is unusual for them. I appreciated the daily messages and photos letting me know our kitties were fine. You can quickly tell how much Shina loves animals and we will definitely use her again!”

About: I've always had friends with dogs and have done house and dog sitting for many years without any issues. I also have a saint Bernard, Banks! I'm currently looking for a new job after I was laid off from my former job. I have a lot of time on my hands currently so I have open availability. I take my doggo out on walks every day! We're also lazy from time to time but we're usually more active. I'm very engaged with my dog as he can be very energetic so I can definitely handle bigger dogs with a lot of energy.

About: Hi! I'm Aileen, a 20-year-old who's always had a special place in my heart for all animals. Growing up, I was the go to pet sitter in my neighborhood, and I've spent many hours caring for and bonding with both. I've volunteered at animal shelters, where I helped with feeding, socializing, and walking the dogs, and I've fostered a few kittens, too. I'd like to think that i'm a calm and gentle person, friendly but a little reserved, so I tend to connect really well with animals. I truly believe every animal deserves love, patience, and a safe space, and I love being part of that care. I’m currently working part time at a daycare, and going to school full time as well. Depending on my work schedule, i’m available most days after 1 pm. Whenever taking care of any animal, I make sure to keep my attention on the animal as if they were a child. I make sure to follow any requests provided by the pet owner to ensure the best service possible.
About: Dogs of all sizes and personalities are welcome here—I truly love them all. What makes my care unique is the environment I provide: a fully fenced ½ acre yard with multiple play areas for fetch, running, and exploring. We’re just a short walk from both the village and the lake, which means your dog can enjoy safe, scenic adventures every day. Inside, pups are treated like family with full furniture privileges—whether they want to curl up on the couch, stretch out on the rug, or join me on the wrap-around deck for fresh air and sun. I believe in letting dogs live their best life, both indoors and outdoors. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and special needs pets, so I can adapt care to match your dog’s stage of life—whether that means extra patience with potty training, gentle support for mobility, or a little extra playtime to burn off puppy energy. My approach is always loving, consistent, and safety-first. Your dog won’t just be supervised—they’ll be engaged, cared for, and made to feel at home. Pet care isn’t something I “fit in” around other tasks—it’s my top priority. From the moment your dog arrives, they will be treated like family. I structure my day around feeding times, play sessions, walks, and rest, making sure every dog has the attention and care they deserve. Whether that means extra belly rubs, sticking to a familiar routine, or paying close attention to their unique needs and behaviors. I’m always tuned in to the little things: how much water they’re drinking, how energetic they seem, or if they just need some quiet cuddle time. Because I live in a dog-friendly environment with a large fenced yard and plenty of outdoor space, it’s natural for me to build in multiple exercise and play breaks throughout the day. I’m also flexible, so I can match your dog’s routine as closely as possible to what they’re used to at home. In short, pet care isn’t just part of my schedule—it is my schedule. Your pup’s happiness and comfort are always at the center of my day. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my first priority. I provide a secure, fully fenced ½ acre yard where dogs can run, play, and explore without worry. The space is divided into multiple play areas, so I can tailor the environment depending on a dog’s size, age, or energy level. Whether it’s a high-energy game of fetch or a quiet sniffing stroll, every pup has a safe place to enjoy themselves. Inside my home, dogs are treated like family with supervised free roam and furniture privileges—no being tucked away or left alone for long stretches. The wraparound deck allows for safe outdoor lounging and plenty of fresh air, while still keeping pups secure. I build trust by maintaining a calm, attentive presence. I carefully monitor interactions, body language, and energy levels to ensure every dog feels comfortable. For puppies, seniors, or dogs with special needs, I adjust activities and rest times to meet their unique requirements. With me, your dog will be in an environment designed to help them thrive, relax, and feel at home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
