“Anna was great with my dogs yet again. My shepherd can be high maintenance but Anna put in a lot of effort to bring the dogs to sniffspots to give them safe places to play after she got back from work and was patient with her demands for an early bedtime and early am breakfast and potty time. We will definitely book with Anna again!”

“Gianna has stayed with our dog and cat several times on overnight sits. While we were away she would communicate by texting that included photos. On one recent sit she cleared the driveway from snow before leaving. Not only were our pets cared for, but so was our home. Consider yourself very lucky if she is available and accepts your invite.”

“Kate is an excellent sitter, she’s very attentive, walks our poodle’s frequently, is playful with them and check in daily with status reports and sends pictures which are greatly appreciated.”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. I have taken care of my own dogs as well as friends and neighbors. I have experience with labs, golden retrievers, German shepherds, Rottweilers, and pit bulls mostly but love all dogs. I currently work full time Monday-Friday (this is important to note when booking me for house sitting) and would love to help people with walking their pets/letting them out after work or on the weekends. I can’t have pets in my apartment and greatly miss interacting with dogs! I am very respectful of other people’s homes. I am clean and appreciate instructions/rules on where food, collars/leashes, treats, etc are. I will keep your furry companions company, provide long walks, and scratches of course!
“I enjoyed my trip so much more because I knew Melissa was taking excellent care of my kitties. She sent me lots of pictures and updates to reassure me. She did everything I asked of her and more. I will definitely be booking her again!”

“We had an excellent experience with Courtney. She sent us daily photos and updates, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs received regular exercise and plenty of attention, and it was clear our cat was comfortable and well cared for as well. We came home to happy, relaxed pets and a well-maintained home. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for dependable, attentive pet care.”

“Candace took great care of our puppy while we were out to dinner! She was reliable, communicative, and made us feel completely at ease. Josh was happy and well cared for when we got home. We'd definitely book with her again!”

“Kevin did a very good job. Our pets were healthy and happy. He provided just the right amount of updates. He is a very nice person as well. Hoping we can continue to use his services in the future.”

“Leah took great care of our pup! We had such peace of mind while we were away. She spent lots of quality time with him at home and on walks, definitely goes above and beyond! Glad we found her!”

About: I've never owned a dog, however I've grown up around them with friends and family members owning multiple dogs at one time. My aunt always had three or more dogs at one time which I helped to care for, ranging from giving medications to feeding to playing in the yard. I worked at a pet store for over 5 years where we were trained in nutrition as well as some behavioral signs. During my time at the pet store, I met someone who was looking for a sitter for their 10 month old alaskan malamute. I was offered the opportunity to watch her multiple times over the course of a year and a half which I took her on many hikes, beach trips, car rides, barn adventures, and spoiled her with toys and love. My boyfriend has a lab/dane/pointer who I take out for "mother-son" dates where we go for an outdoor adventure than reward with a pup cup. I've been working as an Animal Care Technician at a veterinary clinic for almost 2 years now where I care for patients before, during, and after their procedures ensuring they receive the best care and love during their stay at the clinic. I currently work full-time at a veterinary clinic in Dover NH. I have a four day work week consisting of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at three 11 hour days and one 8 hour usually. I own a horse who I care for everyday after work most of the time or in the mornings on the days I have off (weekends and Wednesday). I always keep an eye on the pet whenever I am present by observing them and learning what is normal and abnormal for them. I watch the pets with no one else present so that I don’t have a human distraction which would hinder my ability to give the pet the best, safe experience. I limit the usage of my phone for social media or other distractions so I am present for the pets in the event of an emergency or any other incidences that may occur.

About: Hello! My name is Tai, I am 25 and I have lived in New Hampshire for my entire life, along with my dog and cats. I recently completed my masters and now work as a Project Manager. I enjoy hiking, cooking, or just snuggling my pets in my free time. I have a 2 year old Maine Coon, and have nursed 3 domestic shorthair kittens who were 4 weeks of age to then be adopted by their forever families. I also care for my two very large 100 lb + family dogs who love go howl! My availability varies from day to day but aim to be as flexible as you need me to be as I work from home! My special skills include being connecting with many animals, showing my compassion and love while also training and ensuring their safety. I am currently flexible with my availability, and can discuss various schedule adjustments in order to fulfill your pets needs! I am flexible with work and often times can work from your home! I treat everyone’s home as if it is my own, and treat their pets as my own. Dependent on what the pets need, I will conform to their preferences and needs in order to safely and comfortably keep them enriched until their parents come home!
“Amanda was wonderful for my fur children while away. She was responsible and timely, and shared pictures throughout her stay with them so that our minds were at ease and we could relax. Our Aussie/Border Collie has extreme anxiety and attachment issues, but I could tell he immediately relaxed around her! We are so thankful to have found her!!!”

About: I have spent lots of time with elderly dogs and cats, and I love ensuring they have the consistent care they need while their humans are away. I have also worked with young pets who are house or litter box training. I also love fish, rodents, and reptiles! If you have a zoo at home, I may be the sitter for you. -Gwen (they/them) I currently nanny a small human part time, so I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule. Week days I am available before 10:30am and after 3:00pm. Weekends I am free all day. Overnights are always available. I deeply value the trust it takes to have someone in your home taking care of your beloved furry friends. I strive to provide care that keeps pets happy, safe, and satisfied while maintaining a calm and clean environment in the home I am visiting.

About: Since I was a young girl I was always the family remember in charge of making sure our pets were fed, entertained, trained and given exercise. Around the age of 10 was my first time watching over our neighbors new puppy as they went on vacation. At the time I was nervous but my energetic energy matched the puppy perfectly. Currently i’m renting an apartment at my college UNH with my cat and a roommate. My neighbors who have pets continuously asked me to watch them because of how much time and energy I put into carrying for them. Sometimes I only watch them for the day when work or school takes over and other for extended periods of time. If this becomes the case I make sure to walk and entertained the pet so that they don’t feel lonely. Cat sitting in house is my most common form of cat sitting. Cats and dogs have very different needs from a sitter that I can provide with my years of experience working and owning my own pets I’m currently on summer break until August so my availability to spend time with your fur babies is very open. Keeping in mind that it is still my break there will be times in which I wish to fully experience my summer :) If there is a fenced in yard or not, I still plan to take pups on daily leash walks to ensure safety of the both of us. Ultimately whatever the client feels most comfortable and confident with I will ensure to use those methods. This can include crate use, specific walk routes, specific animal preferences and more.
About: I love to make sure your babies are happy, safe and comfortable so that you can enjoy your time away without worry! FaceTime, texts and consistent communication is what makes me your best choice! Former special educator, patience is my virtue! Weekday social worker, so I’m off on weekends routinely, which coincides with families wanting some getaway time. Occasionally available weeknights for walks and drop ins. Weekends are more flexible, and I’m usually available AM/PM or both. Looking to begin boarding in the Fall 2025 Primarily, I can come to your house for care. Occasionally, happily ready to provide care in my home for dogs on weekends. Walking trails and small yard. Other dogs are plentiful here, I will always keep your dog leashed at all times. I’m not against an occasional pup cup trip but have also respected gluten free diets as well.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Berwick walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Berwick maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Berwick choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
