My home is a haven for dogs, with a fully fenced-in backyard where they can play, sniff, sunbathe, and explore safely. My Golden Retriever, Marshall, is a sweet and well-loved boy who adores making new friends. He loves to play with other dogs, nap on the couch, and splash in a pool on a hot day. I always make time for my dog whether it’s taking walks during breaks, playing in the yard, enrichment games, or sunbathing time (for the dogs, not me) I have a fully fenced in backyard that always has fresh water for the pups. There’s plenty of toys to play with, shade under a gazebo, and on a hot day, a mini pool to cool off in! The yard is treated with all natural, pet safe flea and tick deterrent.

“Kiana was truly amazing. I had a sudden family emergency that required me to go out of state. She went so far above and beyond during that time, while having no obligation to do so. From the beginning of the cats stay with Kiana, she had been so incredibly flexible, she agreed to watch them with only two days notice, and due to the situation evolving and becoming unpredictable, she was more than happy to allow me to extend their stay. She was the direct cause of so much stress relief due to knowing the cats were safe, and well taken care of. 5/5 human. As for her actual care of the kitties she again went well above and beyond anything anyone might think is going the extra mile. The cats were given the space needed to become comfortable and very quickly, and happily adapted to the new routine. I received frequent pictures and videos, she was very communicative, and because of her vigilance we were able to create a plan of action for one of the kitties who started throwing up more frequently than normal. She even went out and bought higher quality food for the cats, and implemented a structured feeing strategy so we could better assess the puking, which I doubt was an easy task since they both free fed before they were boarded. She kept me up to date at all times and provided regular, detailed updates. 5/5 for animal care as well. She is the best sitter/boarder I have ever had any experience with, by exponents, it’s not even close. Her service was head, and shoulders above anyone I’ve personally used before and far better than anything I’ve heard about other boarders. Choosing Kiana to care for your pets should be an insanely easy decision for anyone who wants their animals taken care of at the highest level of care, and wants someone that is just a straight up good human as well.”

About: New to Rover but not new to caring for animals! I grew up on a farm with lots of animals - dogs, cats, goats, horses, rabbits, chickens, pigs... I've also informally pet sat for friends and neighbors with dogs and/or cats in the past. I've been a cat mom in the past, but I don't have a pet of my own right now. However, I would love to have a buddy come hang out with me while I work from home full time. My house is quiet and cozy and I have plenty of time to provide attention and affection! I work from home full time at a desk job - if my day is "busy" it just means I had a few more zoom calls than usual. I would absolutely be able to take time to provide potty breaks and maybe a walk around the neighborhood when the weather is good. I live on a main street in town, but there's also a nice quiet neighborhood right behind me with minimal traffic, perfect for a quick walk. I do travel three or four times a year for my job, generally for 3-5 days each time, but I'd be able to give you at least a couple of months advanced notice for those trips - they are never last minute! I don't smoke and I have plenty of space for your pup to hang out during the day so they don't feel cooped up - including a wrap around enclosed porch that I can keep secure, and a tall privacy-fenced back yard/garden area. While the yard is fenced, I do get birds and other critters roaming through, and I have a flower garden that could have some toxic plants for over-curious dogs. Because of that, I would not to leave them alone outside, but take those breaks with them. My house does have a fairly steep flight of stairs, so a dog without joint pain or struggles going up and down multiple times a day would be most comfortable. I do have lots of houseplants and some could be toxic - so again, if your dog tends to be curious and take a bite out of plants, I may not be the best fit!

Now, I am living in New Hampshire for 3 years, with my husband, our two dogs, our cat... only our mare stayed in France. I do not work, so I am available to take care of your pets. I can groom them, administer medicine (with clear instructions), walk them or just cuddle them. I may be out 4 hours max for my english lessons. We moved to the United States for my husband's job; I don't work, so I would be delighted to look after your babies as if they were my own. About: I love to make sure your babies are happy, safe and comfortable so that you can enjoy your time away without worry. I’m a teacher/social worker by trade, so I’m patient, kind and caring. Special needs or requests are not an issue. My consistent communication and caring for your pets as my own is what makes me your best choice! I’m a social worker, so I’m off on weekends routinely, which coincides with families wanting time away. Occasionally available weeknights for walks or drop ins. Weekends are more flexible, and I’m usually more available. I generally prefer boarding in my home and my routine is planned around your babies. Their needs are my priority! Happy to provide care in my home for dogs on weekends. Walking trails and small yard. Other dogs are plentiful here, but-I will always keep your dog leashed at all times. I’m not against an occasional pup cup trip but have also respected meat-based, gluten free and hypoallergenic diets as well. Only one dog (family) at a time.

“Shana was truly an exceptional sitter and we feel so lucky to have found her. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how thoughtful and prepared she was — she even had a clipboard with notes ready, which immediately made us feel comfortable and confident leaving our dog in her care. Our pup ended up having a bit of a GI issue while we were away, and Shana handled it with such calm confidence and care. She even cooked rice and chicken for her to help settle her stomach and kept us updated on how she was doing, which meant so much to us.
