“Natalie took amazing care of our dogs while we were away for our wedding and honeymoon. One of our dogs can be a little standoffish with new people but they both took to her immediately. The daily updates were such a relief and allowed us one less thing to stress about! Our home was immaculate when we returned. Would definitely book again!!!”

“Maddi was awesome to have watch our senior pups! She was so thorough and kind and I felt very quickly at ease with our dogs in her care. Would highly recommend anyone considering care for their fur babes to book with her and I personally hope to have her again with our pups the next time we need a sitter!”

“Sent pictures, followed instructions, my animals and my house have little particulars that she listened to well, too! My house was clean, animals were well taken care of and happy when I got back ❤️ Would recommend Cayla and will use again! Thanks again.”

“Trai was just awesome. We booked him for a week long vacation with our giant breed dog and he was great. The house was cleaned up, he was always super easy to communicate with, and even sent this crazy dog mom pictures! He’s just so nice and easy to work with. I can’t say enough about him! I worry he’ll be too booked when I need him again because he is one of the best!”

“Tessa was great with our boys while we were away. She communicated everything really well with us and sent us daily update pictures. Will definitely be using her again next time we are going out of town.”

“Sydney did an AMAZING job watching our dogs. We have one reactive dog and there was some tension in our house between dogs, plus two have medical needs. so I was so so nervous to leave them. Sydney followed all my instructions and she even watched for signs of tension, healthy play, etc. Truly above and beyond—she spent a ton of time at my house and I came back to very happy dogs. Would definitely recommend her to folks like me with dogs that require a sitter who pays extra attention and care!”

About: I've been the go-to sitter for my family for years because they know how much I love to be around animals. I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I have two cats who are my whole heart, so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust to care for you furry family when you are away. I am a freelance artist and am usually doing various creative projects in the Pittsburgh area. Which gives me a very flexible schedule to focus on pet care. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in, or overnight care, I can usually accommodate short notice and regular routines. I'm happy to work with your pets specific schedule to keep things consistent and stress free. I provide most of my care in the client’s home to keep pets comfortable in their own environment and maintain their usual routine. Whether it’s walking, drop-ins, or overnight stays, I make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved. In my own home, I can only accommodate small dogs who are cat-friendly, since I have two cats of my own. Their well-being and yours are always my top priority.

“Sadie was great. She was available last minute to watch our dog over a holiday weekend and was able to do a meet and greet within a short amount of time. Sadie took great care of our dog, Schenley while we were away.”

“Elise watched our 8 month old Pomeranian Sonny overnight. We received updates and pictures. She took him for walks and played fetch. You can tell she truly loves animals. I’m happy we found someone we can trust to watch out little guy.”

“Absolutely incredible and above and beyond. Despite some additional challenges coming up for our senior dog between the time of requesting, and her arrival, Elizabeth not only took care of our dog as needed, she became his friend. She was incredibly communicative with us, and even more patient with our increasingly fussy dog. Everyone would be lucky to have Elizabeth take care of their animals.”

“We are so grateful to have had Allison stay with our Corgi while we were away for a week. Our dog has anxiety and typically becomes very stressed while we are away, but Allison stayed at our home, followed his usual routine as closely as possible, and made sure to give him some extra love. She would check-in with us daily to let us know how things were going and would ask questions if she was unsure of something. She was respectful with our home and belongings and made sure to leave things nice and tidy for our return. As someone who tends to leave a lot of instructions when it comes to staying with our dogs, I can’t recommend Allison enough! She truly made us feel comfortable that she had things under control so that we could enjoy our vacation.”

About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I have had dogs, cats, and many smaller critters throughout my life, and my own pets for over 25 years. My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing many animals, and continued that tradition into adulthood, so I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations I work as a housekeeper around the Pittsburgh area from about 7am-3pm mon-thursday, so will not be available in the home or for potty breaks during those hours. The absolute longest I would leave a pet during a house-sitting is 8 hours on those days. All other outings/errands would be less than four hours, tops, but usually only about an hour. I am comfortable with more or less any pet, from rodents to lizards and I am not squirmish about even the creepy crawlies and slithery noodles. I can and have given almost every kind of medication there is, including subcutaneous injections, and am comfortable doing so with care and compassion and confidence. I am just starting out with professional pet sitting on Rover, I did it years ago in Seattle as a side gig on my own with Craigslist posts, and have had a couple gigs on here so far. I am clean, responsible, and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, and you can get a feel for my vibe and professionalism at that time, but I am sure you will like me and feel comfortable having me in your home. As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings. I also am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible, and will clean litter boxes daily and change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I work as a housekeeper from 7am-3pm mon-thursday around the greater Pittsburgh area. If you have multiple dogs who need round the clock supervision and you book me at least three weeks before the sitting start date, than we could work that out and I could block out my housekeeping schedule for that time and just be available for the sitting job (my rates will be increased in this situation as I am priced for my current availability, not constant care and being unable to make my normal wages during the sit). I don't do sitting in my own home since I have two cats and a husband and no fenced in yard. In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I will spend lots of time loving and socializing your pets, and I set alarms and try to keep potty breaks frequent to avoid accidents and less stress.

“Gemma did an amazing job watching Jacks and Mia. She checked in regularly and sent videos and pictures to keep me updated, which gave me great peace of mind. She took them on nice walks and made sure they were happy and well cared for. She truly went above and beyond .”

“Chelsea was absolutely outstanding! She was incredibly responsive, punctual, kind, and professional. She even came for a meet-and-greet to help our pup feel comfortable and stayed longer than scheduled to ensure she was okay. Flexible, caring, and clearly passionate—highly recommend!”

Matthew L.
“Matthew has provided outstanding care for my three senior dogs—Buddy, Hank, and Carleigh. Each of them had unique needs, and Matthew handled every one of them with incredible attention and compassion. Carleigh needed help navigating stairs, Buddy required medication at specific times, and Hank was very sensitive to changes in routine. Matthew took the time to understand their individual personalities and medical needs, and he always made sure they were safe, comfortable, and loved. He’s thoughtful, reliable, and has a gentle, intuitive way with older dogs that’s hard to find. I never had to worry when Matthew was with them. He doesn’t just care for pets—he advocates for them. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for truly exceptional care, especially for senior dogs.”

Sydney D.
“Sydney has proven to be very attentive to both our pets and our needs regarding the care of our pets. She keeps us satisfactorily informed without being overbearing. Sending occasional photos and notifying of status changes that might be concerning. As a bonus, we have often had Sydney house sit in conjunction with pet sitting as it is our preference to keep the pets in our home. She cheerfully and responsibly attends to our needs in regard to both. I highly recommend Sydney as a pet caregiver.”

Mary S.
“I'm delighted to recommend Mary S. as a pet sitter on Rover. Having watched her grow up caring for our multiple cats and dog, plus numerous foster animals, I can confidently say she has a natural gift with animals. Mary genuinely "speaks cat" - she understands their unique personalities and body language, treating each one as an individual. She's particularly attuned to pets experiencing anxiety or depression, knowing exactly how to comfort them and meet them where they're at. What sets Mary apart is her medical knowledge and experience. Growing up in a veterinary household, she learned to administer subcutaneous fluids, manage diabetic pets with insulin injections, and recognize when a pet needs professional care. She combines this technical expertise with genuine warmth - during playtime, she gets down on their level and makes every pet feel special. Dogs adore her just as much as cats do. She's safety-conscious, responsible, and has that rare quality of making animals feel instantly comfortable. Mary is completely reliable - she won't skip anything in your pet's routine - and she's great about keeping owners updated with pictures and messages so you'll never have to wonder how your pet is doing. Whether your pet needs specialized medical care or just lots of love and attention, Mary will treat them like family. She's exactly the kind of person I'd trust with my own pets. Eileen A. M.S. My Lucky is very spoiled and Lindsey did a great job with him! From keeping him on his schedule to judging if he needed allergy meds, she was attentive to his needs. She kept me informed of what was happening and sent pics, which helped to put my mind at ease and made my trip more enjoyable, knowing I didn't have to worry about him. Lucky obviously trusted her and didn't hesitate to cuddle with her:) I also came home to an immaculate house, which was great after being away for 12 days. I will definitely be calling on Lindsey in the future!!

Maddi was amazing! She sent plenty of photos and was very communicative. She was extremely flexible and accommodating as I had to add an extra day on to the original stay, and I am so grateful for all of her help. When I came home, my pets were all super happy and in great moods!!

Katelyn was AMAZING! It was our first time doing an in home sit but she was so accommodating with coming to meet them first and get comfortable around them. They warmed up to her immediately and were snuggled up to her the whole time. She sent frequent updates and was so quick with her responses. We will deff be using her again!! Thank you Katelyn :)

Malik was awesome! He went above and beyond to watch our dog and home while we were away for the week. Pablo had a great time and we could tell he was happy while we were gone. Even though he’s high need and has lots of health issues, Malik took care of him so well that even with the stress of us being away, Pablo’s ailments continued to improve. Don’t hesitate to book with Malik!

Alyssa was such a great cat sitter! Our cat has a weird medicine routine, and Alyssa was able to help us out. Not only that, but we even learned new techniques on how to administer meds from her! While we were away, Alyssa was communicative and always sending cutie pics of our sweet girl. Would highly recommend!

Kwame was great! He was communicative and friendly! He takes his responsibilities seriously, which was evident in the questions he asked, and how he made sure we were on the same page about the window of time he would take our dog on a walk. He kept us updated and took great care of our dog. Thank you so much Kwame, we'll definitely reach out again when we go out of town.

Alexis is such a responsible and respectful pet sitter -- I can't say enough about her! She brought all the character out of our rambunctious dog Sora and he was so well taken care of during our most recent trip. She updated us multiple times each day with pictures and notations explaining what was going on. She asked for permission to feed him special treats that she had on hand and even took special precautions on hot days to assure that he was pleased with his setting. I highly recommend Alexis to anyone in need of a great honest pet sitter.

We had such a great experience with Courtney! She stayed at our home and took wonderful care of both our cat and dog while we were away. It was so reassuring to get regular updates and photos. Grateful to have found someone so trustworthy and caring—highly recommend and hope to book her again soon!
